- As a Beatle nut, I have wanted an AKG D19C for ages, so I was very excited when I saw that Warm Audio released the WA-19 for only $200. In this video I pit the resurrected Beatles classic WA-19 against my trusty SM57.
I also own an AKG D190E, let me know if you want to hear them in a shootout as well!

In my pov nothing beats the SM57 specially for the price, it's not a fail comparison tho every mic has its own personality, it would be more interesting to see it pair to pair with the original

Thanks for this. Literally the exact video I needed. Wa-19 bit less natural but with some SHINYSUGARMAGIC. I really don’t know what to get. After a dynamic with something different, this or a heil pr40 I think
Glad you found it helpful! I'm sure more demos will come out soon as more people use it, but I have nothing but good things to say about it.
the sm57 sounds more focus a a lot more consistent than the warm that sounds with mor hi-end but soft with no puch, kind of a empty sound, really different than the real AKG D19,
The WA-19 sounds more open, SM57 is more focused and aggressive probably because of its midrange. Both have their place of course, but I really liked the WA-19 sound. Thanks for the demo.
