- Green Day performing 2000 Light Years Away and Armatage Shanks live from the Revolution Radio tour at Mattress Firm Amphitheater in Chula Vista, CA on September 13, 2017. This was shot with a Sony Cyber-shot HX50V.
You'll have to forgive the poor camerawork, it's very difficult to hold the camera perfectly still while zoomed in that far.

I was so damn happy to hear them play armatage shanks!! Not many people really care about that song, I sang it word for word. I can't tell you enough how happy I was to hear that song.
makes me want to actually go see them, i was certain i wouldnt know any songs they played anymore!
Not only is it one of my favorite Green Day songs, but it kicks off what I consider their greatest work, Insomniac. Saw them on this tour, but they didn't play it, sadly.

I honestly think its their best opening track of all their albums. Insomniac never gets any real love
The fact that he still plays the guitar for the older songs the exact same way is just cool to me, they have to be played in that old way he played or else they sound weird.
On a rare occurence when they play jaded billie doesnt play guitar on it often. Hes played guitar on it 2 times in the laat decade and one where he didnt play guitar on it.
I was down in the mosh pit. When 2000 Light Years Away came on everyone lost their shit. Best Concert i've ever been to hands down.

I was sitting up on the lawn for this show and as soon as he said "armatage shanks" I flipped the fuck out. Everyone around me looked at me like I was crazy.
Im grateful that this has gotten played live but it grinds my balls that they never say "claustrophobic mind" at the end. Armatage Shanks is my favorite Green Day song of all time and it's really not that hard guys

Orange Curtain he doesn't use the real one on tours anymore. It got destroyed in Woodstock 94 concert. He has a few replicas of blue that he uses for concerts
Completely false, only the pickup was destroyed at Woodstock which he changed out to a different one. The Blue here is the original, he did use replicas around 2009 to 2012, but you can tell straight away what is a replica.

They could tour with a setlist of all old non-single songs and we'd all fucking be there 🤘 The 1st time I saw them in 2009 we got = Going To Pasalacqua, At The Library, J.A.R., and 2,000 Light Years Away = all done one after the other. Next time in 2013, we got Christie Road, Only of You, and Disappearing Boy. When they did Christie Road (full band, bc sometimes BJ will do it acoustic/solo) that was the literal best concert moment
