- We stayed at Lickpenny Caravan Park near Matlock in Derbyshire for 4 nights and enjoyed every moment on this beautiful clean, tidy and spacious campsite.

We loved this site. Could have done with Ethel to explore the beautiful little towns. Parking Bertie was an issue so we will have to go back. 😃 The meet up is going to be big with too many UA-camrs to mention 🤣🚐🚐🚐 Trev

Yes, lovely site that one Malcolm. If you like lots of space and private pitches it’s the perfect answer. Nice dog walk areas and local garden centre and two cafes just up the road 😃👍🏻🚐 Trev

It’s a very nice space to enjoy. The Deluxe pitch is definitely worth the extra and the park is very peaceful and enjoyable. The garden centre across the road had a little restaurant and there’s a nice cafe up the road if you fancy a little walk. Other than that, relax and enjoy 😉 Trev

We recommend the deluxe pitches. They have great views and are beautifully spaced. Great for exploring the local villages by foot however nearby towns have very limited parking for Motorhomes so take your bikes 😃🚐 Trev

Huge Place, Those Cul de sacs makes it that bit more Exclusive and Alot less Noisier i bet
It was busy with families down the other end near the chip van on the Friday evening and we could hear children playing but no reason to complain as it was so spacious we were pleased to hear them all having fun 😃👍🏻 Trev
Looks a fantastic site Trev & Sue. Don't know if we'd risk in busy times with such a big play park but off peak that would be fantastic for us. Good price too for the better fully serviced pitch. Thanks for sharing the video. Really enjoyed and certainly one for us to consider. Like the fact it has decent access and good onsite roads too. 👏👏👏
It’s a dream to park on the deluxe pitches. One of the best we have been on at that price for a while 😃 Trev
We stayed August bank holiday last year and it was still just as peaceful despite the park. If you go for a deluxe pitch they are a long way from the park
The site looks lovely, we like pitches with hedgers , a bit more secluded. I'm walking more now , so I would like to have a stroll through the woodland walk, the road isn't a problem as I remember the Green Cross Code😄. Thanks for sharing this one👍Mark

Hi Trev, well the site is lovely, it looked like a walk around chatsworth gardens, immaculately kept. You had a really good view from Bertie. I will add this to my list which is growing and isn’t to far for us newbies to travel. Thank you for showing us around x
You will love it Julie. Loads of space and nicely positioned. Be careful though, not much parking for Motorhomes in the local area if you want to visit Bakewell, Matlock etc. 😊 Trev
@@PoshcatsCamping I think we would go to chill and walk around the woods with our dog Archie, we’ve been to Matlock and Bakewell sooo many times, so be nice just to potter xx also chip van a bonus😃

Super looking caravan park particularly with the hedged shrubbery. Whatever you do though, don't lick a penny. Not advisable in these times. 😉

The name lickpenny is funny to me. I don't want to lick a penny. I've seen those things just laying around willy nilly and all dirty. Eww. LOL. That's a really pretty park. They always seem so quiet. Wish ours would be that quiet all the time. I would totally do the forest walk. Well... as long as I wouldn't encounter any wild animals. Makes me wonder if you all have ticks over there. Here we would have to douse ourselves in tick spray so we didn't get attacked by those little critters while traipsing through the woods. Looks like you all had another great get away.

Nice caravan park, looks very spacious and private. I'd be looking for that chip van too :) We have a lot of food trucks here as well putting out some excellent cuisine. That park is so green and peaceful, and provides a beautiful view of the hills. Worth the splurge :) Debbie - BluWave Odyssey

We couldn’t park unless we went in the overspill car park which was like a mud bath rather than Matlock Bath. We are planning to go back soon so will definitely take Ethel and have a proper look around 😃👍🏻 Trev
Great video 👍 can you remember on the dog walk do your dogs have to be kept on the lead ? As it looks like it wasn’t fenced off ,

Thanks for your comments 😃 The dog walk area was a large area within a partly fenced area in woodland. So if your dog is trained to come to you when you call you may wish to allow it off lead. We kept ours on a long lead for comfort as they tend to chase anything that moves in the long grass 🤣 Trev
It is a lot bigger than we thought it was. Nice site though.
Huge site but some sites this size pack the roadways full of pitches. With this one there is lots of open spaces lawns and and mature trees. 😃🚐 Trev

Hi, it’s a while ago and I don’t think we used the TV whilst we were there. The site is reasonably high up so I would think TV reception should be pretty good. The pitch is enormous and in a quiet part of the park. Enjoy your stay 😃🚐 Trev
