MG 929 March 17th, 2023 Deep Healing - Part 5 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 “3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 6 And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.” What is a stronghold? For example, there is a man without a house. He keeps thinking about this and it becomes a burden for him. He starts to think, because I don’t have a house, I can’t marry off my daughter. Then another thought adds on, if I don’t have my own house, what will be the situation when I die? It is a shame to die in a rented house. These thoughts become an imagination that haunts him constantly in his thoughts, especially when he lies in bed to sleep. We must know that we must not entertain these thoughts as they burden us and add on worries to our life,which become strongholds. The devil is attracted to it, feeds on it and hides behind these thoughts, affecting our faith, our peace, and our joy. Even when we want to come out of it, we are unable to do so if the devil builds a stronghold. The best thought to have before sleep is of our God. Reading the Word and being immersed in that thought before sleep is the best place to be before sleeping. Our spirit never sleeps, it has the nature of God. So we should feed our spirit with the Word of God before our body sleeps. This will help to wake up stress free. Sometimes after we break the negative stronghold that Satan has built in us through negative thoughts, we unknowingly have a tendency to replay or rewind them. Replaying these thoughts is our default nature, but we should realise that God has given us freedom and peace and we have to overcome the thoughts that tell us otherwise. Some of us even after receiving a breakthrough or healing, we go back to the thoughts that tell us we are sick or chained. We start to doubt our deliverance and the devil stifles our faith. There are certain verses that help us sustain our deliverance. Joshua 1:8 “8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” Psalm 1:1-2 “1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, 2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.” 1 Peter 1:23-25 “23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. 24 For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, 25 but the word of the Lord endures forever.”And this is the word that was preached to you.” We should meditate on God’s Word day and night, this is our armour and shield from negative thoughts and strongholds. When we focus on God’s Word, our mind is healed and body is strengthened and the Bible calls us blessed! However hopeless we are, the Word of God can give us hope.

Deep Healing - Part 5
2 Corinthians 10:3-6
“3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 6 And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.”
What is a stronghold?
For example, there is a man without a house. He keeps thinking about this and it becomes a burden for him. He starts to think, because I don’t have a house, I can’t marry off my daughter. Then another thought adds on, if I don’t have my own house, what will be the situation when I die? It is a shame to die in a rented house. These thoughts become an imagination that haunts him constantly in his thoughts, especially when he lies in bed to sleep.
We must know that we must not entertain these thoughts as they burden us and add on worries to our life,which become strongholds. The devil is attracted to it, feeds on it and hides behind these thoughts, affecting our faith, our peace, and our joy. Even when we want to come out of it, we are unable to do so if the devil builds a stronghold.
The best thought to have before sleep is of our God. Reading the Word and being immersed in that thought before sleep is the best place to be before sleeping. Our spirit never sleeps, it has the nature of God. So we should feed our spirit with the Word of God before our body sleeps. This will help to wake up stress free.
Sometimes after we break the negative stronghold that Satan has built in us through negative thoughts, we unknowingly have a tendency to replay or rewind them. Replaying these thoughts is our default nature, but we should realise that God has given us freedom and peace and we have to overcome the thoughts that tell us otherwise.
Some of us even after receiving a breakthrough or healing, we go back to the thoughts that tell us we are sick or chained. We start to doubt our deliverance and the devil stifles our faith.
There are certain verses that help us sustain our deliverance.
Joshua 1:8
“8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”
Psalm 1:1-2
“1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, 2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.”
1 Peter 1:23-25 “23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. 24 For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall, 25 but the word of the Lord endures forever.”And this is the word that was preached to you.”
We should meditate on God’s Word day and night, this is our armour and shield from negative thoughts and strongholds. When we focus on God’s Word, our mind is healed and body is strengthened and the Bible calls us blessed! However hopeless we are, the Word of God can give us hope.
