That's not exactly what he said. We do perceive the world...through our own lens of our experiences and genetic make-up and societal expectations etc. and thereby we conceive the world, or have a notion of the world that is of our own making which is ultimately illusionary. By recognizing this, we can change how we react to what happens to us and by doing so we can proceed on a path towards awareness and enlightenment.
Whatever that happens is either a blessing or a lesson learned. Handle today well. Master it and when we do it everyday we are able to handle life with ease

In myself, challenge and failure have given rise to courage, humility, and apathy, from a healthy fear for what I perceive as current, modern day, dominating philosophy. By diligently practise this method of Buddhist's ' Aware & mentally do nothing ' Meditation , This Meditation is very easy , Method of meditation , Method 1 ' Aware of the mind ( aware of the intrusive thoughts coming & going in the mind in the present moment ) & mentally don't reacts to them ' , ( Note : don't reacts to intrusive thoughts , let it free plays in the mind without mentally reacting to it , don't dislike it nor like it , don't fight with those intrusive thoughts , don't resist it ( because what u resists will persists ) nor follow it , leave it alone , don't touch it , don't buy into it , don't judge it , don't attach to it , let it be , allows it to be as it is , be with it , aware of it as it is , aware of it ( in the present moment ) & at the same time ' mentally do nothing ' to it ) , Four important factors of right meditation , 1) The quick alert detection of intrusive thoughts , & 2) The clear Awareness of the thoughts & thinking inside the mind which is occuring in the present moment , 3) Don't judge & Don't reacts to intrusive thoughts , it comes & goes by itself , ( Don't mentally resist , what u mentally resist will mentally persists & stuck there in the mind until u stop mentally resisting , accepts it , allows it to be there as it is & let it go it's way , then it will go off by itself because it comes & it goes , this is the natural pattern of thoughts , it is impermanent & temporary , it comes & it goes by itself , u need not hv to do anything to it , u only need to be aware & mentally do nothing ) , 4 ) mentally do nothing , ( Incase if intrusive thoughts strikes , ignore it , don't pay attention to those intrusive thoughts , only pay attention to mentally doing nothing & pay attention to the Awareness ( conscious of being conscious & Aware of being Aware , in the present moment ), Method 2 , ' Aware of the mind ( in the present moment ) & mentally do nothing ' , Method 3 , ' mentally do nothing & rest as pure Awareness ( in the present moment ) ' , Both ' Awareness ( in the present moment ) ' & ' mentally do nothing ' is important , In the beginning , Practise between 1 minute to 10 minute per sessions , few sessions throughout the entire day , practise everyday , After one week , Practise between 10 minute & slightly longer per session , u choose the duration u're comfortable with , few sessions throughout the entire day , practise everyday , After one month , Practise meditation between minimum of 10 minute to 30 minute per session , numerous session throughout the entire day , practise everyday , Practise diligent everyday , u will know for yourself the obvious improvement in 1 month , For those who find mentally do nothing difficult to do , it's normal because u're not use to mentally do nothing , in the beginning , it could be difficult for those people who hv the habit to like to think nonstop , however practise makes perfect , the solution is to keep on practise & practise , never gives up , & it will eventually get easier & easier & finally become effortless , all u need is patient , determination & persistent diligent practise ,
