Kindle, love finding a quiet spot on the ship or a beach just to read for a few hours and enjoy the ambiance. Camera (and a couple lenses), even if I've got nothing planned I love wondering around to take pictures and usually find someone up for a portrait shoot for fun. iPad, vacations are a great way for me to unplug and unwind so I avoid the internet, but it's great for some quick photo editing and when I get that creative spark (sea day mornings especially) I can jot down my ideas, notes, and plans for later. Water bottle and Nuun to go in it, love staying hydrated and while I'm not a big drinker of alcoholic beverages I do tend to imbibe more on vacation, a handy source of water always around and a vitamin/electrolyte tablet to mix with it makes the next morning a little easier if I overdo it a bit. Most importantly though, the right mindset. Just remembering that I'm on vacation, focusing on the fun, trying new things, meeting new people.
I really love your channel, your are too funny! Great tricks for cruising thank's. Can i just make a comment, when you do your video's with the blue mic, the sound is low, even with my sound at max, a can hardly hear. Maybe i am the only one? Your other video's, it doesn't do that! Continue enterning us, can't wait for your next cruise vidéo :D
I loved your video from last year, it was a lot more practical. This video just felt like advertisement for all of these companies rather than being helpful to the traveler.
So nice to have an updated list for what to bring along on a cruise. I loved the way you both presented the products and the banter between you both. I am going to have to check out many of these products, especially the water-proof bags. We really enjoyed having along the over the door shoe organizer while in our small interior cabin - lots of nooks for organizing all our little things and so convenient to have them at our fingertips. Thanks for posting this one...Love your humor! ❤️
I just picked up one of those multi port cubes! And I have a dual USB charger so I can free up those other it USB spots for other things. That cube will be a must for all future travels
I need to get a multi port cube. I have a 6 port USB charger and a 20000 mAh duel USB ports power bank 3.0 quick charge & PowerIQ portable charger with quick charge recharging. It's awesome!
The last two minutes are Griff and Alyssa GOLD! Sunglasses and packing cubes are the ultimate must haves. Now I gotta check out those glasses y’all mentioned, super cute!
Loved the video! I am going on my second cruise ( it is to Royal Caribbean's private island called CoCoCay and to Nassua Bahamas.)in the beginning of August. I have been planning out what to pack and what to do, ect. for months and I am constantly coming back to your channel. Your endless jokes make the videos fun and I love how you tell us good and affordable brands for these things to help us out! I will definitely be persuading my mom to get some of this stuff. As for my cruise packing essentials, I'm going to bring a first aid kit, waterproof phone pouches, a shoe hanger to put on a door in our cabin for extra storage and sticky notes and something to write with so I can leave notes to my mom about what I'm doing\where I am since there is no Wi-Fi on the ship (we didn't purchase it). Keep making videos like this one please! 😊
I have been carrying the gin gins with me for years. I actually carry a walking pharmacy with me on my cruises. My friends affectionately call me medic. I am happy to say that I have helped a lot of my friends, and even made new friends with my medical bag. I like the loopy case, but my rule is when I get on a ship, phone is turned off and locked in safe. I use my g7x and GoPro for videos and pics. I truly unplug while cruising.
Oh i love her channel she has great info like you guys this video was awesome two thumbs up 👍🏻 i always bring my lanyard depending on the type of cruise and also bring a waterproof phone case. Also I bring extra batteries 🔋 for my phone 📲
I just came back from my trip to Alaska and figured i would definitely want to do a must have for that trip because i wasn't prepared. I've been vlogging the experience if you guys want to check it out on my channel. I got inspired by you two to start vlogging.
My husband and I have been using the thermal suites on our recent cruises. For our recent Symphony of the Seas cruise, I bought lavender-infused eye pillows to place over our eyes while resting on the tile loungers in the thermal suite. I thought my husband would find them silly, but i was wrong. I forgot to bring them with us one day and he was definitely disappointed. The next time we went he reminded me to bring them. I would say they were a hit. I also really enjoyed having them. They definitely added to the relaxation.
BTW - loved the Sheri @ CTTV infomercial!! I have already joined her master class - now I just have to watch the videos (kind of silly for me - I started cruising in 1989)!
@karen carter - very true! Sheri always has good info - I’ve been following her for several years & have learned a lot from her! I just don’t have enough time to watch all the cruise UA-camrs who I’d like to learn new things from - I’d be watching videos 24/7! I did enroll in the master class & made it through one video so far!
Very interesting!! Lots of neat stuff! I did bring a power strip (not surge protector) with me on my Island Princess Cruise on May 1st & it wasn’t confiscated - and I was able to plug in my USB hub & charge my Apple Watch & iPhone & the desk was close to the bed - so I had both near me (which I liked since I was cruising solo - like to know that I have a phone next to me if there’s an emergency- or just to check the time or use the flashlight)! BTW - I still pack a travel alarm clock - makes it easier for me if we’re changing time zones (set clock ahead/set clock back)! Had to convince one guy going to the MDR for breakfast about the correct time (if he was going by the time in his watch - he would have missed breakfast)! I bring all of my meds (the most important things I bring along with my passport) in a clear, zippered plastic bag that had come with one of my suitcases - if I ever had to evacuate my cabin quickly - all bottles of medication are in one place - in the drawer of the night stand - can zip up the bag, grab the bag & get my passport from the safe (hope I remember the combination) - and get out of the cabin! That Island Princess Cruise to Alaska - had many packing cubes (my luggage weighed 67lbs - UhOh - paid the overweight fee)! I also do bring a small flashlight (actually brought small ones for everyone that was on the Scott Singer Group Cruise with me - they were tiny & had a clip so could be attached to a lanyard)! Speaking of lanyards - I don’t like them around my neck so I got a neat retractable clip that you could attach to a belt loop & had a plastic holder for my cruise card - didn’t lose it the whole week! I am a chronic overpacker - I admit it, but after cruising for 30 years - some habits are hard to break!
Yay im the first comment -- great video! dont forget to leave your power strip at home lol! btw man overboard .... its me!!!! i cannot, you guys are hilarious .... sunglasses are a must check out not only for disney but hello being in florida ... and yes if you lose your passport holder ...you lose everything together!!!
Hmm. this was disappointing. I'd just watched the first "volume" of their cruise essential vids. I liked it. They had some commercial brands, but there were plenty of ideas for generic gear. This was just one big commercial for a bunch of brand name extras, not essentials :( I'll watch a few more of these before final judgment, but I hope they are more generally helpful.
Bwahahahahaha Almost picked up a family passport holder last week. My first thought was that if we lost it then not one but ALL our passports would be gone. Lol 😂
What are the items you can't cruise without!?

My bum bag! It’s super convenient for carrying little items like my phone, lipstick, blotting sheets and charger.
love the video
A small blanket! Use it on the plane, on deck under the stars and just to have something nice from home.
Y’all are the best!
That infomercial has me crying!
hahah glad you like it man!
Can y’all do an updated version of cruise essentials with how cruising is now in 2021? Love your videos!
Just discovered your channel and am binge watching! Y'all are the cutest!
Welcome to the show Natalie!
Where did you get the passport holder?
Thank you for all you do
You are so welcome, thank you!
FANTASTIC VLOG GUYS 🎉

Thanks for the feedback! I should probably turn the mic up a little bit or speak up!
I just love this video..

Oh yes.. VERY Different.. lol We may have a few of those in the future. We will need your advice for sure!
@@GriffandAlyssa ha ha! Of course 🥳☔
Something I love for cruising is a collapsible laundry hamper I fine it so helpful and keeps the room clean
Yes, that is an excellent suggestion!
I loved your video from last year, it was a lot more practical. This video just felt like advertisement for all of these companies rather than being helpful to the traveler.
Really nice...
Thanks Carol!
Does knockaround have prescription sunnies?
I don't believe so
Great job as always.
Thank you Liz!
Seriously

Love hearing that! Thanks Christina!
We were able to bring a non surge protection power strip on our Norwegian cruise last month
Good to know!!

What is the correct size for luggage tag holders for DCL?

Love that! We would love to completely unplug (and sometimes we do) but the life of a creator and influencer is never ending! 😉
Oh i love her channel she has great info like you guys this video was awesome two thumbs up 👍🏻 i always bring my lanyard depending on the type of cruise and also bring a waterproof phone case. Also I bring extra batteries 🔋 for my phone 📲

Yeah, we are going in with as much as we can think of, but I am sure we will put something together once we get back.
Not just packing cubes... compression packing cubes are even better!
OOooo Yes! Those sound ideal!
Loved this list...I like to take a pop up hamper, magnets for my stateroom and packing cubes are a must. Makes unpacking a snap!
Just checked out the sunglasses site, great find! Nice, even custom sunglasses, for a great price. Too bad I need prescription 🙃
Yes! We love them!! Just wear contacts? ;)
@@GriffandAlyssa I have never really been comfortable with them, but you are right, vacation is the time to wear them.
I think it will definitely be my sunscreen because I'm a very sensitive with my skin
Thanks for this vid! I went to Amazon and bought the wall plug. Hope it works out
Great video!! I have a Teselate towel.... fire but I’m totally getting that mask!!! That commercial was hilarious!!!!
Haha Thanks!! We are excited to use it in Alaska! ... jk ;)
I had to give this video a thumbs up as soon as Grif made the passport holder joke. 😂 That was such a good one. 👍
