Got the same Compressor for $325 shipped, filled with ISO-46 Hydraulic oil, setup water pump in 5 gallon bucket, checked all bolts etc some needed tightening,on first startup just pushing air, pressure gauge shot to high and burst the burst disk,so that works lol, replaced disk, tried again,no air coming out of line, pressure gauge shooting up,so removed HP fill hose and tried without, air coming out ok now,one thing I did do was put a small washer in first time around,so removed this, applied PTFE tape to hose threads,re-attached and tried again, good air flow coming out of hose/foster fitting, attached probe, all still good, pressure gauge not moving, attached probe to rifle and tried my first fill after double checking all was good,I was on 2200psi,started up compressor, pumped up to just below 3000psi in about 30 seconds, opened air bleed valve first then switched off compressor,it all works, temp went to 19c. Fiitting new burst disk is fiddly, found tipping compressor up where its cooling fan is up so,disk doesn`t fall out while screwing it back in. I never checked burst disk first time around, mite have been a issue there. So has MrTurbo458 said, check all fittings, bolts etc,I just never checked burst disk and put a washer in that seemed to have coursed the problem,PTFE is more than enough to get a good seal.
i got the 220v i just put a dryer plug on it and plug it in my dryer outlet. love the shut off works great and shuts off the pump at my setting of 2900 psi every time!
I just got mine, x-mas gift to myself, the temp gage was not installed and the pressure gage was empty. I took all the fittings apart and added Teflon tape. I filled the pressure gage with mineral oil, and today everything has opened back up (day after x-mas) so I can go get some oil and batteries for the temp gage. Have a first run and see how it goes.
Russel Russel That's good news! Are you getting the oil coming up into the low pressure bleed and the fill whip filter? Badass that you're in Australia too 😎
MrTurbo458 no. But i will double check for you. Did you see JoergSprave hand made air shooter. Just brilliant. Have you still got tt bad arse v.w ?. There's one in Australia with twin turbo mitsubitsu 3.5 litre. 👍
Russel Russel The VW's are gone sadly 😟 I did! The slingshot channel ID awesome! Yes please let me know! I'm getting a fair bit of oil in the low pressure bleed and the whip filter.... Kinda odd
MrTurbo458 did you over fill it ?. Or put it on a angle ?. I'm going out the shed later i will definitely check. Thankyou. Love what you do to sluguns. Air riffles. Just orsom. I just subbed. Talk soon with the details 👍
Russel Russel well, it's never been above the pressed metal circle sight glass dot, the red dot is painted crappy. Plus I've done 4 oil changes and have tried different levels. It's always been on a level surface too. Thanks! And thanks for subbing!
Well water is fine. Been running mine for 3 years with well water with no issue. I do drain the water after every use. The water is only flowing around the second stage jacket and doesn't come in contact with anything. The 110 version I have had the auto shut off but essentially the exact same.
this pump is great and you can get them lower priced than what you paid... but you will still get your return plus 10 from it... had mine 2 years and 10 months and only one problem about a year ago.. the relay start was shorting out .. replaced it and all is great again. was a 15 dollar part... these pumps outperform every other pump i have seen ... i directly fill my marauder and takes 85 seconds from 1800 to 3000 psi.. awesome!
I have the same compressor, I haven't had any problem with it , I add ice in the water to keep the water cold during operation, the hydraulic oil will turn black after while , the next oil change will last a lot longer I have noticed, I will take about 15 to 20 min to fill your tank , as your filling bleed system for 2 to 3 seconds , every 5 min turn black nob on the left by the red blowout , keeps some water and moisture out of your fill tank , will be ordering a deablo dry pack cylinder from Arizona airguns
How is your compressor holding up? You can change out your digital temperature gauge from Amazon 2 for 5$ to Fahrenheit and royal purple synthetic oil will make it run smoother, cooler and last longer, plus I use a bag of ice in a very small cooler with just enough water to cover the pump and it never goes over 97 degrees while filling my tanks to 4500 psi. 1 3liter and a 68 cubic inch pony bottle plus guns. No issues as of yet. Thanks for the video hope I hear how yours is holding up since you made this video. Take care
Absolutely brilliant, use good quality low ashing compressor oil and not 30 Wight engine oil. I fill to 300 bar and it does it well. First fill keep the bottle closed and shut down when the filling pressure is reached. Listen for leaks especially on the filling gauge. Tighten any leaks release pressure and then fill as normal. The tiniest of leaks will increase filling time by lots. Remove filter after use and dry it on a radiator. Adding a Tuxing filter is worth the extra £85. Using low ashing compressor oil will increase the life of the compressor by lots and you will see the difference as the oil stays the same colour for a long time without having to change it and is guaranteed for hundreds of hours of use. If this compressor wasn't water cooled it wouldn't last five minutes. There is a huge difference between this and a workshop compressor running at 8 bar.
yes I would like you to do follow up's. The air pump is the main reason I went with my springer's. I always wanted to try one of those Air Force PCP units. Pyramid Air doesn't even stock a good high pressure pump most of the time. Your new pump looks like a nice unit.
TheEZGZ Will do! This is a game changer, if they last a while. Could be hit or miss... But mine works good for now. Airforce airguns are very nice! Can't go wrong with one of those...
Kevin Alt Thanks! Yeah letting it cool down seems to help it pump up a bit faster, even though it takes more time to let it cool. But it's a good low cost alternative!
As mentioned in the video, the female quick disconnect is not a standard size Foster connector and doesn't fit regular air tanks or water filters. I have not been able to find a standard Foster connector that connects to the Yong Heng. I believe the Yong Heng uses M10-1 threads and standard Fosters use 1/8" NPT threads ( I think). What did you do to connect it to your tank?
Great video - will get mine up and operating in no time thanks to it. By the way I ordered mine from AliExpress on a Wednesday and received it the next day when I got home from work. I expected a week or two at least. Impressed with the way it is packed indeed. As to the Hydraulic Fluid i Ordered the Royal Purple Synthetic SynFil 100 compressor oil from Amazon - should have that within a day or so and then I'll be set to start filling my new Gauntlet 25.
i did fit 2 explosive blow off discs to it to get 5000 psi as one disc didnt get me past 3500 psi and blew off but i never went over 4500 psi for safety but maybe i pushed her to hard
Awesome!! I saw in a comment or well question down below and you commented that you can fill straight to the gun..i only shoot here at the house unless i go hunting behind the house and with a full reservoir on the rifle i wouldnt need to drag a tank along anyway..getting my first pcp next month..gonna have to hand pump for a bit but using this video for the future..Thanks for sharing very helpful...👊
Yeah! You just need to be careful filling the gun directly, mine fills up the marauder tube pretty quick, so watch that temp gauge! Glad to help, and congrats on your first pcp, you won't want to go back to any other airguns after! Thanks for watching!
I believe in the other video I have of the compressor I talk about that, but it's been a loooonng time. I ran the inlet on the bottom barb, as to push the air out the top port, and it worked great.
I like your review. Nice job. I have one of these too, and think it is really very good. Zero complaints. I add a frozen "fake" blue block or two of ice for like a cooler to my bucket. Adds cold to the water and keeps it colder much longer. The pump can not get hotter then 65 degrees Centigrade or 149 degrees Fahrenheit. If it hits 60 degrees Centigrade, shut it off and let it cool back down. If you have to pump longer times, the water will heat up somewhat quickly. The ice prolongs that heat up time quite a bit.
MrTurbo458 I just bought the same unit off eBay for $328.00 free shipping, I haven’t tried it yet just waiting for oil. What kind of oil do you prefer?
As you mentioned in the video, the female quick disconnect is not a standard size Foster connector and doesn't fit regular air tanks or water filters. Threaded on to what? The Yong Heng filter? I threaded a Foster onto it in place of the original one, and it blew off the end of the filter when I started pumping. It seemed to fit, but I think the threads were wrong because they didn't fit any of the other Yong Heng threads. The filter is plastic, so maybe the threads were a little "forgiving". They seemed to fit, but then couldn't hold.
jimbert50 watch the video below (link) starting at 1:50 ua-cam.com/video/1H8kRueDiTM/v-deo.html and you'll see the black FEMALE FOSTER fitting I changed out for the brass one. The filter housing should be aluminum, and there should not be and plastic components other than the seals and the whip hose.
The Yong Heng does not use 1/8" NPT. I think it uses metric M10-1 threads. I was able to screw a 1/8" NPT onto the Yong Heng filter and it blew off when pressure built up. The 1/8" NPT fittings do not fit any of the metal threading of the Yong Heng. The filter appears to have plastic threads.

Great video, I have just got one of those compressors and was just wondering if you would consider running antifreeze solution in place of water, most antifreezes are designed for aluminium engines, plastic and rubber pipes, not only does it aid cooling, it stops corrosion and prolongs the life of the machine. Peter Wood Honestly, I wouldn't bother. It would just add more expense, and you should change the coolant out after 30 min of running (per manual) so you would have to have 2 5 gallon buckets to swap (if you want to fill any tanks) and you'd need a way to cool off the coolant. I see why you're thinking that coolant would help, but I say just keep the machine clean and drain it after each use, and I bet you'll be fine....
Coolant does not aid in cooling it simply raises the boiling point slightly, lowers freeze point and yes it also prevents rust in iron blocks. Water by itself very efficiently conducts heat. I assume this is aluminum so I wouldn't worry about corrosion but I wouldn't leave water sitting in it anyways
Hey bud, what size batteries did you use for the temperature gauge? I got my yong heng compressor thinking the temperature gauge is hooked up to the main power cable but nope - its battery driven but no mention of what battery size I need in the manual.
@@fooloui8044 no and i got this stuff on ebay that everyone on youtube says is the best stuff to use www.ebay.com/itm/Royal-Purple-01513-Synfilm-Recip-100-High-Performance-Synthetic-Air-Compressor/362570655671?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

I went to a lot of places and try it but it did not fit. So, if anybody knows what kind of battery number please tell me because I can not run without temperature indicator. I'm looking forward to hearing from you guys. Thanks.
Mine started doing this recently. I put 3 burst discs in at the same time. It's disabling a safety device, but I always supervise the compressor when in use. I was thinking it would be nice to use a normal burst disc setup, but I don't think they'll thread in.
@@MRT_H Mine worked just fine for about 4 74CF fills but then started bursting. I have gone thru 5 discs since with most bursting at 3500 psi. I am going to try 2 discs when I get them in and just monitor closely. It has to be the discs.
Either way works I'm sure..... generally with Liebig condensers (similar idea) the water is run in from the bottom, this insures that it fills the chamber from the bottom up, so there are no air pockets. This is because the chamber tends not to fill from the top down cause it drains out the bottom as fast as it's added in the top. I suppose you could run it both ways on the Y.H. pump, but I prefer to run inlet on the bottom.
Hate to say this but you got kinda reamed on this thing, from ebay, same exact unit, 245 usd shipped from the california docks. Amazon is NOT the place to buy china import stuff for cheap.

It's a good idea to use distilled water for the cooling. Especially if you have a well.
Actually most compressors require regular tap water (Omegas)and recommend NOT using distilled water. Not sure why.

how many ml of oil will you put in this compressor?
hello good day, what a good video, the compressor bought it in ALIEXPREES?
Greetings from Colombia
I got mine from Amazon, but eBay or AliExpress has them. Thanks for watching!
I would like to know the battery # for my temperature indicator. They forgot to give me the battery for that. I have the temperature indicator but no battery in it. I went to a lot of places and try it but it did not fit. So, if anybody knows what kind of battery number please tell me because I can not run without temperature indicator. I'm looking forward to hearing from you guys. Thanks.
Link to the batteries and filters in the description!
Hi, What oil do you recommend???
ISO 46 weight anti wear hydraulic oil is what the manual says... seems to work good for me.
@@MRT_H this oil not exist in Chile 🤦♂️
Mine keeps blowing burst disks at 3900 psi.
It has to be the discs.
.
They got the inlet and outlet the wrong way round in the instructions, inlet is the top 1
Celsius x 1.8 + 32 = Fahrenheit
The operation manual that came with mine stinks it doesn’t tell you how to use anything. If you make one mistake you can ruin the whole pump
How do you remove the old oil? Is it the window that show the oil level?
Michael Merrick there is a small bolt under the sight glass that you take out to drain the oil.
Thanks
can not send photo
claude sirois Are you asking about a filter? Or how a pipe is routed?
Hate to say this but you got kinda reamed on this thing, from ebay, same exact unit, 245 usd shipped from the california docks. Amazon is NOT the place to buy china import stuff for cheap.
OLEMINER49ER Yeah, I saw that. Live and learn 😲
MrTurbo458 well next time you will be in the know.
OLEMINER49ER For sure! Thanks!
Good video but it still doesn’t address everything.
I have another video on it as well...
Just be extra careful when buying these because there are a lot of fakes out there.
I bought the fake one , and temperature meter doesnt work.
Amazon currently has a 3 year warranty for $45 extra.
does the pressure gauge use button batteries?
The pressure gauge is not electronic.
