  • Part 1: Rigging
In this tutorial, Nathan Outteridge demonstrates the process of rigging the moth. We understand that each moth is set up differently, so this simply serves as guide.
Thanks to Ronstan, Hayling Island Sailing Club and the UK International Moth Class Association.

    Nathan, thank you.
We are buying you 2014 exocet from Paul. How do you separate the foils ? He needs to ship the boat and foils in the Moth box. Thanks Douglas

Since the moth it's no stable I would try to text foil in small aluminium dingy. The Hull is about 48 kg I am 73kg the foil in ruder and kill is about. 80 cm x 15cm . Will it work?

Hey, great video. Thanks for doing this. Quick question: Is it possible to sail a Moth without the foils in place? Say for beginners or for parent/kid operation where foiling isn't expected? Or are the foils required even at low speeds?

Dave Ferreira there really is no point sailing without them, even for beginners

Very expensive boats, and they are really unstable at slow speeds

The Part used to connect the Mast to the batten and induce camber hence 'Cam"
