I really hope the quality is there. Look what’s happening with the tundra. Toyotas and Lexus built in Japan are impossible to beat regarding their quality production. The Japanese mind set is way different and they do believe in doing things right period.
I am hoping Toyota Indiana has a better handle on quality of assembly & quality of trim materials from North American vendors than Toyota Texas has had with the new Tundra and Sequoia. Both the Highlander & RAV4 models are very important models in North America due to their high sales volumes.
@@arhamkhakwani5851 Makes sense, the Tundra started production about a year before the Sequoia, so they've had some time to iron out some of the issues.
David, Your friend Kirk recently posted a well researched report saying Subaru's Indiana plant was having a hard time getting production workers because they pay less than McDonalds. Does Toyota's Indiana plant pay people more to build $60,000 CUVs than fast food franchises pay to flip $4 hamburgers? 😉Getting back to the new Grand Highlander, will the start of Grand Highlander production increase or decrease the exasperatingly LONG waiting time for Siennas and Highlanders? And yes, you can 'supersize' my Highlander Hybrid into a Grand Highlander Hybrid. 😂
Fast food workers are overpaid. I refuse to eat at those establishments. At any rate all of those jobs will automated soon. Any wage over $10 per hour is too much for unskilled labor.
Does the back window open for quick access? One thing I LOVE about my Highlander and my Honda friends are jealous about. Hope they keep that convenient feature. Love the extra cargo space. So important. Also VERY glad to see the roof rails. Having a roof rack is an absolute for fun family adventures (kayaks!!). Sad to see the Sienna LE doesn't have them standard anymore.
@David - in a recent video didn't you say the Princeton location had quality issues? Or, did you say the Princeton factory is not up to date, lacking in technology?
In the past, I would say that the Indiana factory wasn't quite as good as the Lexus-approved plants like the Ontario and Kentucky plants. But now that the Indiana plant will also be producing a Lexus (TX), I think the quality has gone up tremendously as I was able to witness when looking at the Grand Highlander.
I have heard the Mexican builds of Toyotas have had countless ongoing problems that are effecting sales. I will not trade my hard earned money for poorly produced vehicles
My daughter's 2020 Mexican-made Tacoma has been trouble-free since new. My 2020 US-made Avalon Hybrid has needed only a battery (under warranty). My Japanese-made 2023 4Runner is too new to judge but should be great.
Is this recently? My mother has a 2008 Mexican made Tacoma V6 that has 250k miles on it and it’s still in perfect working condition with just basic repairs and maintenance. She lives in the rust belt too. Best little truck/ vehicle anyone in my family has ever had.

Looking forward to this perhaps being the touring suv into retirement-roomy and comfy- WITH QUALITY BUILD!
25:27 pause here and focus on the 4 toggle switch controls in the middle not aligned perfectly
Hopefully this isn’t reflective of the final build 😭

Weirdly, many have seen that the Sequoia is better built than the Tundra. Even though they share many parts.

I love it.
খুব ভালো লাগলো। ধন্যবাদ
See little changes made on previous years, the third row leg space is important but is still crammed.

Looks good because it resembles the LX. Hopefully the quality isn’t shot like the Tundra.
Wonder if it’s coming to the Middle East market

It’s made in Indiana. I think the Lexus TX will be US produced also
PROUDLY MANUFACTURED AND ASSEMBLED IN THE USA 🇺🇸 🇺🇸🇺🇸

I enjoyed the new highlander presentation but could have less kissing bud from the host
How does she remember her lines so exactly ?
This is one of the biggest deals in her tenure, she probably has the whole speech memorized, there’s also most likely a teleprompter
No V6 goodluck with tgat heavy body it will definitely won’t last like toyota in long run.
