so the roblox ugc update came out a few days ago and some of the most disgusting hats have been uploaded to the site. it's really sad to see where roblox is going in

i'm not at all informed about roblox moderation so take this with a grain of salt, but i think the issue with ugc moderation might be that they're 3d models. if you look at hats like the "penisaurus", you might notice that they look fine (or plausibly deniable) from the angle of the thumbnail. so if somebody were to make a horribly inappropriate hat, but then do something like cover up the thumbnail with a black square, they could get away with it.

Roblox's moderation probably started using AI to moderate everything. While exploiters and inapropriate UGC is running amok with no punishment, I get banned for saying "xd".

I run a group that produces and sells motor vehicles from motorcycles to heavy duty trucks. Because of Roblox's ineptitude to tell the difference between right and wrong, I got warned a grand total of 30 plus times and even banned for 3 days.
As a furry who sometimes plays games on the Roblox platform, I want to say that I agree with you, that stuff should stay as far away from the platform as possible. That kind of content has no place anywhere near kids and I can only imagine the damage that may have been done.
The potential damage done if the actual asset is recognized by someone else and gets called out, and, later, Billy will go to that site cause of curiosity and be all 'fggdfgdfgdg' scarred (for life)

ugc limiteds are just stupid. You can make your own copies of rare items and get away with it. I think the increased price to publish is good.
The only problem with that is there will need to be another way for people to give UGC as game rewards. Its a really neat feature to earn a hat through a game which was something only roblox could do back then while game creators could only give badges.
