I agree. The only time retired players should be in new sets is if it's an autograph, or a game worn patch card, or they're featured alongside an active player, or the set is specifically designated to former players.
Same thing as last year, accept this years checklist is better because of 6 rookie Qb Silver Prizms all being worth 160 to 500 each at this time. Its insane and megas will be better than blasters. The lazers will sell for 200 to 500 hundred each for the top QB chases and Silvers are the big chase along with the case hit. No serial numbered cards last year in prizm football either , same with megas because there are now hobby blasters and megas which you can hit the serial numbered hits in. Overall im ripping half and flipping half if I can get my hands on some locally as they are cheaper in store vs online.

Another reason I wish Panini would stop including retired players because if a player retires or doesn't go pro and becomes an actor like The Rock, they're rookie card may have value for non-football reasons. But if they keep giving you dusty retired players, they limit your chances at pulling 2nd round NBA picks like (Nikola Jokic), and great 5th and 6th round picks NFL picks like (Tom Brady).
