Okay So I'm always "that" person when it comes to this banana fact, The laffy taffy banana flavor is not modeled after the bananas we currently eat, The Cavendish Its modeled after the extinct Banana known as the Gros Michel. It was wiped out by a banana (panama) plague. Most people associate it as just an "artificial" flavor (it is) BUT its actually modeled after the previous banana flavor. (it still exists but not en masse as before) . BUT i actually love that flavor. Yay.

I was coming to drop this factoid. :) Bananas just don’t taste as flavorful as they used to.
Cavendish (the new banana strain) actually might also get wiped out in the next few years (5-10.) The Cavendish are all clones of themselves so if the fungus kills one of them it can kill all of them, we're only about 5 years into R&D for a disease-resistant variety that is as close as possible to the Cavendish so we don't have to start over again with a new flavor profile. Wild.
So there used to be overly sweet bananas. That’s actually interesting thanks for sharing this

Unfortunately ms girl is facing extinction, I had to do a proposal for my molecular genetics lab on how to us CRISPR gene technology to help them be more resistant to the fungus (which also affects other plants as well but particularly hard on bananas) it was really interesting and testing has already proven it to be quite effective! So we may be able to save the bananas in the near future !!
You and Grace taste tests might be my new favorite thing to watch. So fun and funny.

This was like a refreshing vlog. Like when you take a big sippy sip of ice cold water on a super hot day. Like idk why but it was just so nice and to be apart of the premiere was lit. As Leigh requested good thing about my day is just relaxing. Superrr tired from working my cafe job and trying to start my own art shop on top of it. So I'm finally taking a day for me plus it's raining and I love that. So for Leigh to put up a studio vlog and just chill in bed made it special 💕 thank you water queen for amazing content.

I love those sweet potato things. They have that lightly sweet glaze, and I love the sesame seeds. I agree that they’re not too sweet. I don’t like super sweet stuff either. OMG, I do loooooove those little strawberry taiyaki like things. I got some on my birthday this year and I’m dying to go to the Asian market to get another pack (or several!)
I like about half of fake banana flavored stuff I try, but I can’t stand fake pineapple, and I usually don’t like fake watermelon.
