You may be losing your ends as a result of over bleaching. That happened to me with my first set of locs. I ended up cutting them off and starting a new set the next year. Good luck.
Oh no! Aphogee treatment! It works wonders! I've been using cellophane instead of color because I noticed little hairs around the house. Also, I got a hair steamer from Amazon
You have to wash your hair more often. Wash and seal the moisture in with light oil. I wash my locs at least once a week. My daughter is a certified cosmetologist with bleached locs and she washes and seals hair with light oil.
Try only bleaching the roots mostly. You are never to keep bleaching already bleached hair all the way down the shaft. Only the roots and bring it down after the virgin hair is colored just a little. You definitely need some type of protein treatment afterwards. I would even use a neutralizing shampoo.✌🏽
Protein treatments and also all I do for moisture is wash with my special shampoo (I just added two oils to some ph balancing shampoo) and I maintain by spraying with my water and aloe Vera juice mixture If ever I add gel to my locs (RARE) I use an aloe Vera based gel 👍🏾 and for context, my locs have been bleached once and lightened once and colored and are 6months old with no damage and feel like a newborns hair lol 😊 hope this helps
If you haven't figured out the porosity of your hair then you need to do you could know how to properly moisturize your hair. Dont bleach and diy anymore. Consider going to a loctician every couple of months or bi-annually to check the health of your hair
I definitely think it’s something you should address with your loctitian because everyone different and to me, that seems like a lot but I don’t know your hair health and other crucial factors.
Are you still wearing a silk bonnet? Dyeing/bleaching your hair? Did you start on damage hair ? Are you still washing and moisturizing your hair? I hope you figure it out and get the help you need
@@milanwrld thanks for replying. Yes. I bleached my hair several times since I have had these microlocs in this short amount of time. I realize I am seriously tripping about some of my locs falling out. Honestly I am lucky to still have hair after all the stuff I started doing to my hair after getting locs. I was treating them like I did Mt natural short bleached hair. I'm learning now. Again thanks for responding
Can you loose your ends and curl them or ? Love your locs btw it sucks that you going through it .. I wish you luck in your locs journey and I hope you are able to nurse it back to life 😊
Was going to say the same & make sure you do a deep conditioner afterwards. Without it, it will harden your locs even more resulting in loss. I've done it, gone through it. On top of that, I also do bond builders/rebuilders. Must replace bonds being broken down as a result of bleaching, which strips color from your hair. Steaming will be your locs best friend. Commented before I finished watching. With conditioners, mix them with water & rinse well. Conditioner is going to soften the locs, being in the state they are in, the loc will diminish over time.

Thank you sis. Yeah definitely the bleaching is contributing but I won’t have to cut mines off. They gone survive and thrive. 🙌🏾
Thanks for the warning

Thank you for the suggestion. I decided to go with the infamous @olaplex No. 0 and 3

Yikes, I wash only when I retie..thanks for this tip.
The issue could be the bleach! Stay safe sister. 💛💛💛
Yeah..definitely contributed but I’m gone be good..I’m using some products to help combat it
Bleaching may have done it
yeahh

Which rotation do you do 2, 3 or 4 point rotation? I am getting my 3-yr sisterlocks combined next week. Your combined locs are beautiful
3 point since that’s what my loctitian was doing before and how exciting! Thank you so much sis and I too combined at 3 years.

Okkkk thanks sis…I’ll definitely try the water and aloe mix 🙏🏾
I think your sections should be larger ( braiding and banding)to reduce so many rubber brands; they can pull at ends when removed also.
True
Yea I think it’s the bleach 🥺💗
Happy Friday 💕
Happy Fri-yay 💫

Yeah, thats the plan if my locs can be saved.
It’s the bleach/color.
I have lost about 10 locs since I started my loc journey a year ago. I'm wondering should I be worried

Bleaching is the issue.
Yeah that will do it I see

Thank you so much hun. And I could probably curl my ends but I’m not interested at this time in doing that.
Why are your banded sections so small
Because I have low-density hair and also, since combining...lots of my ends are not combined and are thick.
Try a protein treatment,
Ohhh didn’t think about that..ok thanks
