Wonderful Love this thank you! Looks just like our 'Blue' black lab❤ I am painting a beautiful painting of our 'Buck' a super fluffy Husky but I'm not just finished yet I Need help figuring out adding More depth to the whites grays and the blacks ....Could you paint a Husky ??? If you want??? Or give advice?? My black doesn't have much depth might just need more layers?? I done lots but I want to do true justice. I can send you the picture too. THANK YOU AWESOME BEAUTIFUL WORK! ❤❤❤❤
This is great - thank you. I have never done a painting all at one time. I would like to walk away for hours without ruining it because the paint has dried. So, please advise about rewetting technique in order to continue painting later without undesirable hard edges?
Allowing it to dry will end up creating some harsh edges but the best thing about watercolor is that to soften them, just add some water and gently rub the area with a brush... like a short square oil painting brush that has density and roughness, and you can lift away some of the previous watercolor to soften the edge or lighten up spots. I will creat a tutorial here soon for you showing how to do that. 👍
Thank you so much! Oh chocolate labs are such beautiful dogs! Browns tend to show purples, burgundy’s, greens, oranges and yellows in them. Try to blur your eyes when looking at the image you are referencing and just absorb the colors... are they cool or warm? Do they have a tint underneath the brown that lends to one color over another? Shadows tend to be cooler and highlights tend to be warmer, but it is possible to have a warm shadow and a cool highlight as well, so you just have to study your subject :) I hope this helps!!
Hi Gail! I'm so happy you liked! I hope it helps! I use mainly Synthetic Brushes for the most part... My large wash is a Silver Black Velvet which is a blend of Natural and Synthetic... they are very good, but if you want to go all Synthetic I will usually get a 9 piece kit of Amagic or Alerie for like $18 off Amazon or Jerry's Artarama... in my experience, you dont have to spend a lot on high quality brushes to get good results... i have hundreds of brushes on my desk and find myself only reusing the same 4-5 and they arent even the most expensive... actually quiet the opposite. I hope this helps! If you have any other questions please let me know! Wishing you a beautiful day!
Thank you for letting me know! I’m sorry for the speed. There is a feature in UA-cam where you can slow down the videos, but I will work on making them slower moving forward for sure! 👍

Wow! Wonderful!.. Just curious if you used pencil for the outline?
Yes! I did a quick sketch in pencil before starting. I think it was probably done with a 2H
This is amazing!
Thank you so much!!

This is wonderful! And so helpful. How would you do a chocolate labrador. What colors would you suggest?

Such a great tutorial! Are your brushes natural or synthetic hairs? Could you please recommend? Thanks so much!

@@jesskristenart5784 Silver Black Velvet brushes are my favorites. Inexpensive and have a fine point. Holds their shape well.
It's to fast.... 😬
