I rode (walked) ;) this yesterday. Took me 6.5 hours on an E bike !! I had to get off and walk every 300 feet (up and down) because it was so steep and so rocky. I never got above 4 mph for fear of eating copious amounts of do-do. I thought I was ok on a bike but I got SERIOUSLY schooled yesterday, One of the best days of my life for sure. Definitely the best bike ride I have ever been on all natural alpine beauty - Shasta gravity was 100% easy and professional to work with... Thank you ...
Another awesome edit. I appreciated (a) the eye-watering speed (b) the scene-setting drone footage (c) the geography lesson, and (d) the fullness of your moustache, upside down. 😂
Wildman! That looked like a supremely fun adventure , and damn son that editing too! Super stylish intro, and some award winning moustache cam at the end thrown in 🤘
Thanks for posting this video! Me and some friends in Portland were hoping to get to Angel's Staircase past Leavenworth but early season snow had us scrambling for something else.and this video provided the inspiration. A weekender of Ashland 1 day and then Sisson-Callahan/Eddy the next was the perfect mid-October get away. Awesome trail and experience!
When I think about riding this is what I imagine it will be like, including jumping the log at speed near 10:05. When I actually ride I'm the guy who gets passed by Gene. These are great videos, very well done, thank you!
Dang that upper part looks sketchy. I grew up in Siskiyou county just west of there. I was the last summer and didn't ar any shuttles operating. Wish they had been the last year... That trail looks incredible!
Wow this video had me saying holt sh*t! You are a savage rider! I was just at mount Shasta this month and wow was it beautiful. Hiked a lot but didn’t have the mtb! What’s your tire set up because it’s clearly working
Hello Fellow Rider. I regret to inform you that you're obviously mistaken. I saw no bum camps along that body of water, therefor that is clearly not the Sacramento River. Party on.
@2:01 & @3:42 For goodness sake if you go ride this trail please don't take the wrong turn there! If you go the wrong direction it drops into the Pacific Crest Trail where bikes aren't allowed and will lead to conflicts with hikers/horses. I visited Mt. Eddy a few months ago and that place is amazing, if you have the opportunity to bike it you absolutely should, it's on my bucket list. But again, know exactly where you're going and don't take a wrong turn. I was backpacking at the lakes along the PCT and saw 4 MTBs wayyy off trail because they got lost -- they gave all MTBs a bad name and hikers were pissed. So yes go ride this trail, but don't be dumb and get lost.
Picked up a mavic air. Its so sick! Fits in my pack!!! If you can, check out this trail, hit up Chris at Shasta Gravity!

How does the altitude not effect people who go up and down like this
I like to go fast. Sik as usual bud.
