Thanks for putting a lot of effort to make this video. I really appreciate, but it's a bit long for me. I used GPT-4 to summarize this and posted it in the comment of this message. You're doing awesome stuff!

The video features several adventure and dual sport ride tips and tricks shared by the UA-camr and other riders at the Skull Shoals Ride 2022 event:
      1. Carry Essential Items: Riders recommend carrying essential items like tools, snacks, and extra gloves. One rider specifically mentioned carrying Jolly Ranchers to keep the dust out of your mouth.
      2. Safety Gear: Safety gear like knee and elbow pads are important for off-road riding. One rider emphasized that knee pads and shoulder pads are a must as they're usually the first things to hit the ground during a fall.
      3. Start Slow: For new riders, it's recommended to start slow, build confidence, and not to rush or compete with faster riders. One rider emphasized the importance of taking lessons and starting with a small bike.
      4. Carry a Big Gas Tank: One rider mentioned the importance of having a big gas tank to avoid running out of gasoline.
      5. Use Earplugs: One rider recommended using earplugs to protect against tinnitus, a common issue among riders.
      6. Carry a GPS and Garmin inReach: The UA-camr recommended bringing a GPS for navigation and a Garmin inReach for emergencies, especially when riding in remote areas.
      7. Rely on the Motorcycle Community: The UA-camr emphasized the value of the motorcycle community and the willingness of experienced riders to share advice and information. He encouraged new riders to ask questions and learn from others to progress in the sport.
      8. Enjoy the Experience: The UA-camr and other riders emphasized the importance of enjoying the experience of off-road motorcycling, appreciating the scenery, and having fun with the community.

This is so cool! Thanks for posting, GPT-4 did a great summary! This is new learning for me so I'm curious to explore more. I'm also working on keeping my videos shorter, it's a work in progress. Thanks for the feedback and for sharing the GPT-4 summary, very cool!

Plenty of opportunities to ride in GA. Check out the links in the notes for details. I recommend you sign up for the Blue Ridge 250. There's an ADV and road option. It's a charity event where you can meet local riders. There are a few GA-based groups on Facebook and ADV Rider forums to check out. Thanks for watching and I hope to see you at one of the upcoming events!

Great video. Thanks. I have a 2022 KLX as well, just going thru break in now. Not very experienced at off paved riding; have had a couple of mis haps. Would really like to chat sometime about mods on the KLX and dual sport riding.

Thanks! You bought the perfect bike to build your off-road experience. Dropping the bike comes with riding off-road. I lost count of the number of drops since I've been riding off-road the last two years and change. And yes, I dropped both my KTM and KLX 300 but less on the Kawasaki because it's much lighter. I'm working on a mods video and will post it soon. I also suggest you sign up for local dual sport or Adventure off-road events. It's a great way to meet other riders and get advice. Cheers!

LOL - I need to talk to my audio guy about that one. Shenanigans going on the in the background for sure and the yellow jersey just might have given it away - ha!

I just mounted the same gps on my klx how did it do off-road

    • @theEHWAZ

Works great for me off-road, been reliable. I imported a track or two that was missing a few waypoints where the GPS tries to adjust and send you in a straight line. Not a GPS issue though. So far, I'm a happy customer and use the GPS on both of my bikes. Enjoy that KLX!
