Why are there no purple buildings?
There’s a crazy reason why most things around you are black and white in color...
And today @DearAlyne is gonna tell you all about it!

I’ve always worn colours, decorated my stuff in colours, and always have had colourful things. Yet all I seem to hear is, “girl, you dress like a 7-year-old” “why does your room have so much green in it?” “Your artwork is too bright, tone down on the colours a bit.”
"too bright" well HUMBUG! Ignore the real adults and give 'em the finger! Social Norms SUCKS!
I noticed this in the past. I love wearing colored clothes but every time I struggle more finding colorful clothes. It's sad to see how colors are disappearing from everywhere. Very informative video.
Welcome to India then, only colorful dresses are promoted.....
Me too bro all of my clothes are coulerfull when i was younger now its all black, white, grey
Emo kids and goth kids
@@parthshelar995, as an Indian, I can agree on that 👍👍
In the us I barely see a color that’s is blue or green and yellow
This reminds me of when I lived in Johannesburg South Africa in the 1980's and the main hospital in town was painted all dull grey colors inside and patients were taking longer than normal to recover from their illnesses so they changed the color scheme to all bright colors and people started getting better much quicker so we see the health benefits of nice bright colors !!😊
Really?? That's crazy!
AY THATS AWESOME
You're an apartheid benefactor
That's so shocking and cool at the same time 🤩
THATS SO GREAT :D
Well, I love this message. Colour is part of life. If we have a gift of seeing colours, why make everything pale and even? I have also noticed this trend of changed company logos (especially, international ones) and, honestly, they evoke no emotion or even add to the gloom during the fall.
Because humans have a tendency to be offended way too easily.
I remember seeing some sci fi movie potraying a futuristic scene several years ago and seeing everything in greyish shades and thinking ' yuck... no variety in clothing. Na.. why did they potray it like that' .
Now i see how accurate it is
There’s still plenty of clothing variety
In this case ..I think My Home country(India)still has it's vibrant and beautiful colors existing whether you see cities or festivals to clothes ...even trucks in India have unbeatable artworks on them...AND I THINK COLORFUL WORLD WILL BE ALWAYS A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE RATHER THAN B&W
👍❤️
I just visited India last year after 3 years or so, and this definitely isn't true. Many of the villages I went to preserved their colors, but cities didn't. It's much more black and white in India and I think you get a better perspective when you don't see the country for a while. And another reason for this is the slow development in India, which isn't necessarily good considering that better infrastructure and transportation would benefit India much more than preserving colors. In this case, its better to replace the old with the new.
Colorful ≠ good place
India is polluted plus colorful
Still some developed regions here have changed which is just because we changed. We would like bright popping colours but with houses something like looking at bright pink or blue just looks as if a five yo painted it. Having dark colours shows that, ‘oh yes this building has been designed beautifully and with such care’ since those bright colours get dirty and for some burn our eyes
@@suhaasvemuri7980 Is it? Living in Mumbai i have never felt..... In fact the roads are so bright that we call it as queens necklace. Railway stations are now painted in traditional Indian art.... So i think we have already reversed from this situation

“No colors”
“Me with a rainbow pillow and a bunk bed while my brother having a blue bunk bed with rainbow plushies”
The ascethetics have really changed. We usually think of colourful places like for children or something and having dark colours really just blends in and as we advance we change our minds and all of the colours I would say is good but only pale. In my indian culture this changes a lot like we have a festival called ‘holi’ which is basically like water fights but we add coloured powder to it just bring the happiness in the room
Edit:mhhmm i see i have a lot of likes

Not only colours but also many brands across the globe are simplifying their logo and the design for the same reason or what you call it as 'debranding'.
For eg. Pringles simplified their logo to a simplified one.

This story also resonates with my experience in Sweden. I started to it call the culture of pale. It seems that everything is made pale with purpose to blend in as much as possible with a few exceptions there. From minimalism outdoors to interiors indoors. Add the lack of sunlight for 6 or more months and it gets depressing.

Definitely, the reduction of colors in society has to do with an economic factor. However, the underlying reason is due to a conscious goal of people and organizations in positions of power to create a more homogenized global society lacking autonomous critical thinking, which makes it more easily manipulated. Everyone would then have the same tastes, they would dress the same, they would eat the same, they would want the same, they would reject and approve the same, and they would be more predictable in their behavior. In fact, many people feel more comfortable when someone else tells them what to do with their lives because they don't know or are afraid to make their own decisions.
The other factor is the mood, as the video mentions, fewer colors, less dopamine, therefore, a more monotonous, depressive, and unstable society, which makes less thoughtful decisions, which makes them perfect consumers. I recommend reading George Orwell's 1984.
Um I don't think there is a direct relationship to color and manipulation of society but I see your point. But you definitely went off track there in your last 2 sentences, and to be honest I kinda like less colors. Its much easier to take in but it gets kinda repetitive which is a downside.
But I like black

This is like that one episode of Pink Panther where Pink needs to restore the colors in the world.
The woman talking about how bad are black, grey and white
She's house:
Though I agree with the standpoint of this video, just know that it doesn't apply to all situations; for example, I like the Nordic/modern/minimalist aesthetic of homes, but love bright colored cars (red/purple/blue/yellow), because it looks best that way imo. Certain colorful aesthetics on restaurants or homes are actually kinda jarring and unpleasant to look at as the colors are not well put together.
So yeah, my point is, color combinations matter ALOT, no matter if it's bright or plain. You can't just throw random bright colors together and say that it makes you happy or pleased.
That could be a culture phenomenon though. How you are trained to see things. We have Hispanic neighbors who think painting their house multiple bright colors is beautiful while other neighbors who think desert tan only is beautiful. It's a matter of perspective.
Thank you for letting me know what is happening daily. I hope you upload more content and I will try to watch it when I have time.🥰🥰

People choosing different colors means they're free to express themselves, confidently. Free to be different.
I’ve never noticed as I live in an area full of colour. My local McDonalds is very colourful inside and out. The O2 arena in London is so colourful, I had to rub my eyes when I went in. The colour is going away and we need to try our best to help. Thank you Nas, you are amazing and such and underrated channel. I’ll share this video with all my friends and family and you will definitely get 10M by the end of the year. I will support you all the way to your goal.
My socks, shirt, and pants are the only things I’m wearing with colour. My jeans are grey-ish-blue and my jumper is grey.
Black, white and gray are colours too. Just saying
Lol
They are not colours they are shades
According to recent sources, white, grays, and black are achromatic colors (or shall we say, shades, according to other sources), they have no hue but they are considered within the category of colors. This is what color physicists or color experts would say. Some consider white to be a color, because white light comprises all hues on the visible light spectrum. And many do consider black to be a color, because you combine other pigments to create it on paper. But in a technical sense, black and white are not colors, they're shades. They augment colors. Me, as a graphic designer, personally saw black as the absence of all colors and white as the presence of all colors, and grey stands in between them. That's it, for your information
@@nomad1789 they still look like a color to me
@@O1iviaWard of course, it's not wrong, as I said, "Some consider white to be a color" and "And many do consider black to be a color", but I'm just getting it straight about the fact that those are shades. Tbh, I do consider white to be "color", because it's my favorite "color"

Although the world is losing color, I think the Pennsylvania Turnpike is one of the few places in the world that is trending up in colors. For instance, if you look at the old service plazas, they are plane stone houses with beige and grey. But, the newer service plazas, they have blues, greens, yellows, maroons, and many vibrant colors.

This is so educating. School uniforms were used to be in different colors like blue, pink, green, red etc but now the only color even used on most uniforms is grey white and black. That also creates confusion in different school uniforms.
Good thing we here...still have a lot of colors in uniforms.
Enough to make uniforms of certain schools iconic.

@@gabrigamer5517 my clothings always have vibrant colors and unique styles. Maybe it was instinct, but I tend to come to places that have more colors(blue sky, red roof, yellow wall, green fence, even the velvet color of the clouds during sunsets). As the result, I feel like I have awakened from a long sleep, and that everyone else seems dull, gray and depressed. My presense is quite unique on retrospect, when many people can still remember me despite not knowing my name and/or having not met me for years.

Yeah...i noticed this change too. I too used to have a lot of colorful things around me but now i have all dull colored things n even wear dull colored clothes, that's who i have become. I realized that maybe people don't like to use vibrant colors cus they think that those r colors for children not for adults n all. So they use more of black, grey, n white colored things everywhere which makes it cool more cooler so that people think it's more cool, awesome, matured n get attracted. People think that it will stand out cus grey, black n white isn't common but slowly everyone now uses it n thinks is cool. But the reality is people in this generation have just become more depressed from being happy n that's y their favourite colors have changed from yellow, red, orange, blue to grey, brown, black n white.
I love those videos from nasdaily team. Always learns new things and how they tell it is just so enjoyable.
