I first heard Donovan on a tiny transistor radio with just 1 earphone, when I was 12-13. It was Hurdy Gurdy Man, and I was instantly smitten! I’ve been a major fan since then, and finally got to see him in a big bar in Toronto, Rock & Roll Heaven in the late 80’s or early 90’s. Took lots of photos and the best one still hangs in my bedroom. My daughter and younger brother are Donovan fans too. Daughter grew up to his music, and brother even has a fave song, Season of the Witch, but he’s the drummer in a Canadian rock band now! Donovan is eternal and ubiquitous! 🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦🦈
