Will you be able to use the scan to see if young lesions are actively forming compared to older calcified lesions?

Is the test available nation wide? Test performed at a hospital?
Is low dose (5 to 10mg) of Crestor twice weekly good for plaque? Thank you.

Crestor for some, not all. That is a safe but very low dose. The test is spreading, check their website please

    Fantastic!
Reminds me that when I had been WFPB for about 2 years my dentist (same guy for over 30 years) told me that all the inflammation in my mouth had disappeared and my gum disease had stopped. Of course not consuming processed sugars also meant that he didn't have to do much cleaning.
If there is no inflammation in my mouth, what about the rest of my body?

I've seen the test available at various hospitals from $500 to $1,000. Most of them have been near the high of the range. Hopefully, someday it will fall into the range of a CAC of $75 to $125.

Dr. Kahn, I have a concern. I carry one copy of the APOE4 allele. My pattern is E4/E3.
The users on the APOE4 info website and Dr. Steven Gundry all say that APOE4s cannot eat a high carbohydrate diet and must stick to avocados, olive oil, non-starchy vegetables, and some fish.
Indeed, 2.5 hours after eating 8 small purple yams (1.5 to 2 lbs.), my blood glucose is still 148 mg/dL. 5 hours later, it is still 120 mg/dL.
I would hate to replace yams, beans, fruits, and oats with avocados and olive oil, but my glucose just is not improving despite eating extremely little fat.
I once went on a low carbohydrate diet for several years to control my acne which did not go away despite a low fat high carbohydrate plant based diet, but had to stop because my cholesterol and LDL became elevated. Now I no longer have acne, but my glucose is still unable to be controlled.
I never drank dairy back then when I had acne and still do not consume it.

My biggest concern is brain health. Can you please do a video on this topic? I went from wfpb to lchf because I was worried that I wasn’t getting enough choline and omega 3 in my diet. But I’m switching back to wfpb but I would love some guidance in this area.

It is a good but not bulletproof program. However, I set the record for the least plaque ever seen for a man my age (nearly 65)
