The white stripes in their prime make every other rock and roll band look like amateurs
Not really. They had some good songs but that's about it.
@@bufordteejustice1119Wrong they had good albums and amazing live shows. Legendary band
@@bufordteejustice1119 absolutely incorrect.
@@Ryan-ps9uv no. I'm correct. They wrote some catchy songs. They aren't master musicians.
YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO HIS PERFORMANCE OF THIS DURING THE “white stripes under blackpool lights” and really multiple other songs off of that performance‼️‼️
I think I remember hearing a close friend of the band talk about Jack White playing the guitar, like he's being attacked by it, or something along the lines, and I always thought that was a great description.
Yeah, it always seems like he is fighting against his guitar right?
Death Letter would be my recommendation.
Was actually watching your videos yesterday 😂
Gotta check out Hello operator and my doorbell by WS, also Level by the raconteurs
If you liked Let's Shake Hands then here's my favorite version of the song, it's SO good. ua-cam.com/video/OYcHdf-djDM/v-deo.html (it's the full concert footage. They open with Let's Shake Hands, though!
I recommend the song "In The Cold Cold Night", in wich Meg(the drummer) sings while Jack just plays guitar. It's very different compared to the songs you've heard from them . This is the best live version: ua-cam.com/video/-bpR02KaKE0/v-deo.html
(Also, at the end there Jack was singing "Cool Drink Of Water Blues", a cover of a cover by blues-punk band 'The Gun Club' wich is another band i'd recommend you to check out.)
They were so underrated - Seven nations army was the only one that seems to fit the general audience, but a number like their version of "I just don't know what to do with myself" (especially from the Reading Festival 2004) is insane.
Jack is a true Rock Star!
I've often thought that Jack White's guitar playing is kind of him bending the guitar to his will. Like there's a struggle between the two. It also helps that every live performance feels like it could go off the rails at any moment.
Awesome
You'd love this live version of the White Stripes playing "Death Letter"...cover of an old blues song by Son House: ua-cam.com/video/BM48pSsQ3Xc/v-deo.html
