"Behold, the Underminerrrrrr! I'm always beneath you, but nothing is beneath meeeeeeee!"
Wow, you are here
one of the hidden benefits to having a third member on the team is that now they can cover more smaller games like this without taking away time from main videos.
This game is on the same level as Hades and Dead Cells. I Absolutely loved it.
Just beat this game on gamepass last night. It was really addicting took me about 17 hours and it’s quite the challenge.
Really? Thats not to bad. Have you played hades? Your saying it s much shorter than that game?
Now beat the other dungeon🤣🤣🤣
Try Rogue Legacy if you want a good time
If you like this game (which looks awesome) check out Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos - similar dungeon crawling rogue-lite with online co-op with you friends!
Was hoping this one would turn out to be good so am glad it reviewed well. It's going on the ever growing wishlist.
This is my 2021 game of the year. They’ve had several updates since this review - and is the best roguelike I’ve ever played. Sleeper hit!
this actually is a pretty unique roguelike in my opinion. The way you progress in it is something you dont see in many other roguelikes. I honestly like it more than dead cells now.
It's the same as every other game except the prices are so high you have to do like 5 back to back perfect runs to even afford the shit
@@alanf8622 nah. You just gotta get deep runs without skipping levels. A little luck with upgrades doesnt help. But with deep runs each go; you can afford things fine
Looks like the stardew valley mines fleshed out into a full rogue lite, especially you having to find a staircase and go down
No, this ain't no farm sim. This game is brutal right off the bat.
Exactly my thoughts while watching this review! And I like it.
@@guyvandermire4146 I specifically said the mines in stardew valley
@@guyvandermire4146 Reading is hard, don't worry. You'll get there.
@@traversal6881 Say it to my face, dullard.
After playing Dead Cells and Hades so much, this will unironically be a nice change of pace, since it's a lot slower and more relaxed in comparison lol
Might pick it up.
U may be surprised. It gets hairy faster than you would think, just like every roguelike.
As someone who has a couple hundred hours into this game it gets much faster paced the deeper floors. They only showcased the starting area here. I’ve played a good bit of hades and dead cells as well but I think undermine is my favorite in the genre
@@Nomerip Couple hundred hours?! That’s a lot of hours. I just bought it and I can’t wait to play it later. I only have a PS4 and it was on sale on the store so I cannot play Hades but I loved dead cells but I am quite burned out on it.
Play curse of the dead gods. It is amazing. Hard for sure, but once you get good at it, its so good
@@dustygearhead I have curse of the dead Gods but haven’t played it enough for to grab me. Hades on the other hand I can’t put down. So fun and I love its save feature.
I don't know how I have never heard of this game. Gonna check it out. I been loving atomicrops.
This game looks like the love child of Rogue Legacy and The Binding of Isaac. Which isn't even a bad thing. Looking forward to give this a try.
Very good game, but the "nothing special" critique is bang on. It does everything well, but nothing to stand out. It's a very good clone of just about everything that came before it, but it gets old fast, because of that.
Reminds me of Moonlighter
Definitely worth it! Love the game!
I was on the fence now I'm on the couch playing "Thanks Nintendo Life,"
Very Sword of Ditto like. Passing on to the next Hero... in this case Miner.
I think I may get this.
Too many devs miss the mark on the art style and this one hits. I want more in the visual style
Nice reference in the description lol
If you like dungeon crawler rogue likes you'll enjoy this it's very Isaac like. Really enjoying it
How is this like Binding Of Isaac? Besides being a roguelike set underground? Other than those two very vague comparisons, I would not say the two games are similar at all.
Huh, so framerate seemed fine to you? Too me it seems like it dips quite often. One room will be smooth as butter and the next you'll feel consistent slow down. Playable, but still annoying. At least in handheld. Haven't tried docked yet.
Nice review, this looks really fun.
This looks like a game to pick up
I like how we have this amazing console but all its being used for is mostly Indie games
I disagree. Maybe you haven't explored the Switch library enough?
Not a bad thing though. A lot of indie games are even better than some of the 3rd party games lol.
So question is the same version as pc or is it behind on the updates still bought it just curious
No relics appear groundbreaking? Watch DangerouslyFunny play this for five minutes and you'll see groundbreaking.
I get, because you’re a miner and part of being a miner is mining which includes breaking ground. Lol XD
This art looks great
The Legend of Isaac: Twilight Gungeon.
Actually performance will drop the more hectic then screen gets. So pretty much the more you play and unlock. Which is a bit of a shame
Yeah this is true there are some technical issues, but not game breaking by any means.
Throw some peasants onto that subscribe button. Nice.
Also the gameplay footage didn't show ONE jump. Jumping is a thing you can do in this game.
And unfortunately, it's awful. I don't know if it's the visuals or animations, but there's something that makes jumping in this game feel unnatural. Unlike say, "Enter the Gungeon", where jumping just feels right.
Jumping is useful on the game but I honestly forget I can do it. I would probably be a lot better at it if I would get in the habit of jumping but I agree. It looks pretty ridiculous.
Wow i might get this after i buy 3d world
it's more fun than 3d world so far I think
I'm buying both of them tomorrow, along with ghosts n goblins ressurection, and anger force and ikaruga, both of which are on sale rn.
In this engrossing crossover between Undertale and Minecraft, you uhh...
Nope. More like Sparklite and rogue legacy.
@@guyvandermire4146 I know, I was just making fun of the title.
How is the performance of this game? Does the game run at 60 FPS on switch?
Off topic but I have been waiting on Eastward for what seems like forever.
Yes!!!! That game looks legit.
The thumbnail looks like a Completionist Zelda upload 😂
Anyone kno is this Digital only or is there a Physical copy? Pls help thankyou
If link was a miner.
He is a minor
@@marcar9marcar972 Mimer not minor smartass.
shit, I’m really enjoying this game.
Where’s Alex?
Why can't POKÉMON games be like this and still be on the Switch ?
That would be a ballsy move to go back to pixel art. While I wouldn’t be opposed, I feel like the fans would get really upset by it and say that it’s the pinnacle of laziness even though it’s a valid choice
@@marcar9marcar972 yeah, people will never be satisfied.
so basically this is a roguelike of roguelikes. 4:26
Like posé sur ta vidéo 📼👍
Looks really cool.
I don't know why I would want to play a rogue-like that doesn't have a dodge roll.
Because it doesn't need one! There are plenty of great Roguelikes without a dodge roll. For Example Rogue Legacy and The Binding of Isaac.
Jumping has the function of dodge-rolls in this game. Most enemies and projectiles can't hit you while you're in the air, but you have limited control of where you will land after jumping - effectively the same as dodge-rolling.
@@strtrm2406 I was mostly joking but thanks for the info! Looks neat. (I love enter the gungeon)
Wait, wasn't this guy a part of GameXplain?
Yep. He and a couple others left due to issues regarding fair pay and working situations.
I just hate how it's all text and no voices. For me, that was a BIG reason why Hades stood out. It has great voice overs and not just boring text like a pokemon game....
++
If you want more HADES, play hades or this.
XD
I've had my fill of hades(90 hrs) such an amazing game! But im ready for something new so I'm definitely picking this one up!
No it is not worth it. Deleted it after 2hrs. What a waste of time+money. Rogue Legacy did the 'respawing thing' better and quite frankly the game is insultingly dull.
And the devs hate you actively. You soon pay 1000's of gold for a +6 +6 +6 or +3+3+3+3 increase of stats and the game doesn't tell you shit. For any item you get 1 line of explanation. wow. You get overpowered curses easily, hardly help, boring enemies, boss road blocks, and a shit ton of grind with little help and nonsense riddles.
Meanwhile the game steals your cold, steals your relics, steals your time. Controls, soundtrack and environment are forgettable as it gets. Zero story.
This "game" is like removing the dungeon from Stardew Valley and asking 15$ for that. Whats a tiny fraction in 1 game is "the game" here. Think about that.
Does anyone know what track is playing towards the end of the video?
Worth it? Worth playing or worth buying? 🤔
It depends. If you want a rougelike to play then probably
It's a new procedurally generated rogue like/lite (there's a difference maybe but I dont remember). I must buy it! ... not.

TaleCraft
It’s not worth it for me
Why are people on this channel talk so strange? They sound like talking to little children with this strange tone! It's very annoying and creepy...
I’m assuming their demographic is children hence why they speak that way
Its only creepy when you talk to children.
@Vegeta Saiyajin I speak 4 languages and English is not my first language. I'm bound to make mistakes. What does it really matter?
rip off mario zelda crap lol
