Great tone here, very smooth. Often the Casinos will have kind of a "ratty" distortion tone, but this one was as smooth as butter. Reminds me how good those old Tone Labs were. I had one, it was killer.
Wow. I was wondering how this guitar would sound playing blues. Now I got the answer. It is going to be my next guitar. I will sell my Epi Dot and get one of these. It is going to be made in China because I can afford the higher end ones, but the sound should be pretty close. Thank you for the great video!
Excellent. I love the various types of tones people get with their Casinos. I also have an elitist but my amp is an AC30. Love the tones and response of the P90's coupled with that creamy Vox tone! I also love the timing and feel of your playing! Awesome! Also five stars!
I noticed this too, then again Jimmy's influence can be heard almost anywhere he is such brilliant player. As is this chap, I could listen to blues guitar like this all day.
@keaneterpol Listen carefully. Do notice how this guitar sounds like the whole guitar is saturated with tone in every note he plays? The 335's got a HUge hunk of wood in the center so it will sound thicker like a les paul. But it won't feedback like this guitar. I would go with this guitar if you don't think you'll run into feedback problems.
hey everybody, can someone help me,i want to get this guitar but i wanna know if this guitar has a floating bridge, like on a gretsch, so everytime you change the strings you have to reset the intonation, is it like that or more like a les paul only with a tailpiece, somebody pleeeaase help!!!!!
...yasunori !! what strap are you using... brand..? ...model..? i have some vintage leather straps but they don't seem to fit as nice as yours looks like it does... arigatou gozaimasu
@kjw1993 it's common that the G string has tuning issues, this is the case with every guitar. It has to do with the fact that the G string is a little too thick to be unwound. Also epiphone standard tuners are not the greatest. Make sure you put the strings correctly on the guitar (with a sort of knot on the tuners), and visit your music store for a set up. I f nothing helps, change the tuner(good tuners cost 60 dollars)
where can i get a Epiphone Casino Korean made? i found one at Guitar Center a couple months ago but now that I have the money I can't seem to get a hold of it x/
I just got a 2008 casino that looks like yours. I don't know what all the differences are in it from a 65 one, but I really like it and it sounds similar to yours. Great playing btw!
This is an awesome video to view a demo on how the guitar does on blues music. I was concerned about buyiing one as I thought it was just a Beatles type music instrument. You sure erased that thought. Thank you. I'm picking one up this week.
It's a fixed bridge - on studs. But even if it were floating, you simply change one string at a time or something like that and the bridge won't move.Good luck
I am looking to purchase a Casino and wanted to see someone demo it first on the blues and came upon your upload. Really enjoyed what you did here and the great tone you put on on the video. Made my choice easy to get one. Take care
I've just hunted down for a casino playing blues. . . This is where it lead me. . . Man I was debating this afternoon to buy a casino however I didn't realise how it would sound over blues. Oh boy that tone is awesome! Think I've made my mind up. Love your skills man!
Hey there! At exactly 22 seconds in you do a cool lick on the guitar. I was wondering if you (or anyone reading this) could tell me exactly how you do that. Or if you can send me a link to a similar lick then that would be great. Thanks!
Jesus dude you ripped that guitar in half and made it scream, strangled it... WOW wtf how about some info on the guitar??? I am in awe, you should be in Memphis or New Orleans making people scream and throw money at you every night.
Amazing. I just actually brought a Epiphone Casino, can't play yet, well can't play good anyway but watching this has really inspired me....going to be getting some serious practice in to just be half as good.
I have a gold-top Casino bought it last year, and I was about to try to sell it on Craigslist, ( just couldn't get it to sound right) then I saw you playing this amazing stuff and it blew my mind and now I don't know what to think.
I just bought that same guitar (used with a few mods) but when I can make it sound like this, I will die a happy man. Best I've ever heard a Casino sound . Thanks man
the 61' Reissue is extremely good guitar...highly recommended, with great P90 pickups. You just need to change stock strings. My blues teacher loves it.
i've always thought Gibson's P90s sounded better than than gibson's PAF humbuckers. The PAFs are overrated. Also epiphone needs to come out with a george harrison model casino.... come to think i don't think there is one guitar company that has come out with a george harrison madel anything. and hes played every guitar brand. Rosewood Tele, Stratocaster, Epiphone Casino, Gretsch, Rickenbacker. and not one company has had the heart to give the beatles lead guitarist a signature model.
Great tone here, very smooth. Often the Casinos will have kind of a "ratty" distortion tone, but this one was as smooth as butter. Reminds me how good those old Tone Labs were. I had one, it was killer.
@PopExpo
Probably because George changed guitars so many times.
He played a little bit of everything over the years
dude you sound like Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton rolled into one and then some FUCK! I could listen to you all day!

Just purchased a Casino myself yesterday. Love the tone you have here; been looking for it for a long time.
you got a connection with that guitar dont ever get rid of it
Amazing!!!
This reminds me of Zeppelin's "I Can't Quit You, Baby". It's very late 60's Pagey blues. Awesome.
Definitely doing wonders with/for that guitar model and my appreciation of it!
Great playing, great sound. Thanks,
great job, great gear, very great player
very good!!!!
I suspect you make any guitar sound awesome and that Casino sounds really sweet! Man..that was jawdropingly good.
Excellent. I love the various types of tones people get with their Casinos. I also have an elitist but my amp is an AC30. Love the tones and response of the P90's coupled with that creamy Vox tone! I also love the timing and feel of your playing! Awesome! Also five stars!
Excellent!!!!!
Really an awesome performance.Max of score!!!!
Franco from Italy.
@keaneterpol dont ask stupid questions comparing an epiphone casino to a gibson 355 is like comparing a cadillac to a dodge neon
makes me want to buy one.
fuck man...i listen i listen i listen and i say ''shit this guy play whit bb king or clapton''
I noticed this too, then again Jimmy's influence can be heard almost anywhere he is such brilliant player. As is this chap, I could listen to blues guitar like this all day.

lovely tone - nice playing

I think it sounds really great!
wow.... ever hear the song 'The Jack' by AC/DC? that's called blues. everything is inspired by or based around it, open your eyessss
that is possibly the worst question I have ever heard in my life. if you don't know what blues is then good god you aren't living
Awesome blues and great tone! Thanks for sharing.
xr650r01 thanks!!! I am glad!
Excellent playing my friend!
You captured a Jimmy Page vibe and tone here, and it's beautiful.
I just got a 2008 casino that looks like yours. I don't know what all the differences are in it from a 65 one, but I really like it and it sounds similar to yours. Great playing btw!
Great man,
u can play that blues,
Great tone,
Keep it up

Great sound man! I didnt know the casino could sound like that. I guess it's been me and not the guitar. Quick question, what strings do you use?
That guitar would sound better without the VOX Tonelab...........let it shine
It's a fixed bridge - on studs. But even if it were floating, you simply change one string at a time or something like that and the bridge won't move.Good luck
Nice sound,well done...
SGman, you freakin' rock! Thats pretty sweet playing and you make that guitar sound fab!!!
thanks so much!

very cool : )
It surprises me that you had no feedback at all.
have tried the new "inspired by lennon" casino,( with US pickups )to compare ? I love your amazing tone and like to buy one....gaëtan
Hell Yeah! That sounds awesome. Great job!
Outstanding! Everything was great and that Tonelab sounds so natural. Nice Job.
HELLO, IS THE NECK PICKUP AS BASSY AS A "LP" ONE ? and IMPRESSIONS ABOUT YOURS FOR BLUES ? thanks, gaëtan
Great playing. Love the sound. I'm thinking of getting one of these..
Awesome!!!!!!
Great sound. Aren't Casinos just great?
awesome man, you should record! do you have any problems with keeping it in tune? i've had one for a while and the g and b keeps going outta tune :(
Hey there! At exactly 22 seconds in you do a cool lick on the guitar. I was wondering if you (or anyone reading this) could tell me exactly how you do that. Or if you can send me a link to a similar lick then that would be great. Thanks!

What pedal are you using to get such great break up? Great tone. I have this guitar.
Same situation here..
using the casino for what it does best, soulful blues........ good man.
Jesus dude you ripped that guitar in half and made it scream, strangled it... WOW wtf how about some info on the guitar??? I am in awe, you should be in Memphis or New Orleans making people scream and throw money at you every night.
Very nice job with the Blues man . Does you casino acually have the original pick ups ?
HEy man!Did you do the backing track or did you find it?
Great playing:)
Excellence!
fucking radsauce
there are many similar epiphone guitars without the white logo,do you know if the guitars are the same,or are diferrent models
Um, the Gibson version is laminated as well..
Amazing. I just actually brought a Epiphone Casino, can't play yet, well can't play good anyway but watching this has really inspired me....going to be getting some serious practice in to just be half as good.
Very great playing man!! Is the guitar a japan model? What price do you pay it? THX ;)
@keaneterpol I had a es 335. I like more the Casino. You should try them side by side.
ブルーズもこんなに弾けるとは 恐れいりました
You just sold a guitar. I was stuck between an Epiphone Seraton and a Casino.
Nice. I've seen some Hacks on here with guitars that co$t more then my house don't sound half as good brother. good Job.
hell yeah
I have a gold-top Casino bought it last year, and I was about to try to sell it on Craigslist, ( just couldn't get it to sound right) then I saw you playing this amazing stuff and it blew my mind and now I don't know what to think.

I just bought that same guitar (used with a few mods) but when I can make it sound like this, I will die a happy man. Best I've ever heard a Casino sound . Thanks man
Great sound, great playing. You know, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed today... but this just set everything right. Thanks man.
So, is this the SE running straight into a computer? It sounds awesome.
Oh yeah, and AWESOME playing. I take my hat off to you, good sir! ;)
what kind of amp do you use? i've got a les paul and whenever i plug it in, it makes a BOOOOOOAAAAAAACCCCCHCHCHH noise
the 61' Reissue is extremely good guitar...highly recommended, with great P90 pickups. You just need to change stock strings. My blues teacher loves it.
Nice sound and playing. But why play in a little girl's room? lol
smokey tone..love it...you got that early jimmy page shit going...so cool
the tone you're getting out of that casino is brilliant. i have one and it sounds great, but you've got it the best i've ever heard.
👍👍👍
I think I have the skill, but I do not have your feel or phrasing :(
thanks for your comment!
wich amp your using
Great tone, great playing! I love how you go from "mild" all the way up to POSSESSED!
Curious about what string gauge you are using here?
Great demo!!
sounds superb, great player, what amp are you using?
Do you have trouble keeping that guitar in tune?
Where did you get the backing track from? I want a copy.
That was... GREAT!
Casino info? Standard? Elitist? Amp?
I heard some jimi hendrix redhouse in there haha nice job man!
You got the blues brother! The sound of that casino is amazing!!!
