Wonderful video, thanks, and I would like to add some more points - a) Pay advance only by credit card, because that is easily reversible by a simple request for reversal, preferably on manufacturer's website only. b) Be aware that Manufacturer to Dealer is a Principal to Principal relationship, and Dealer to Customer is a separate relationship. c) Ensure that the receipt for advance has got PAN, CIN, GST and preferably TAN number of the Dealer. Double check this online. d) Nowadays finance and insurance are equally or often better from outside. Play that card carefully. e) Please keep the exchange of your existing vehicle separate to the best possible effort. You will mostly get a better price outside. f) VIN number, stockyard condition, workshop experience. Double check that. And finally, always keep correspondence in writing - the sales persons in the showroom do not add value.
I am happy to share that I saved my friend around 20k Rupees while buying a car. You need to be highly informed to deal with these thugs. Happy buying.

Saved 10k on insurance, they were quoting a higher price but i didn't agree then they didn't have any other way than to sell me the insurance at lower price. On corporate discount, they were not giving the amount given by company. Again called the company and got the full discount. Checked the RC amount and didn't give one rupee extra. Got PDI done infornt.

They sometimes include the handling charges and then the percentage applicable to RC amount gets further increased. Clear all your doubts before finalising your car. Be informed.

You can deny to take the insurance, accessories and extented warranty from the dealer. The dealer can not deny to book your car. All they can do to deliver you the car with some delay. And when you book the car, please make sure you ask them to mention the delivery date clearly on the booking form so that you can hold them accountable if they do not meet that date. Keep following with them for the delivery and if possible copy company's customer care in your follow up emails.

Hi, I would like to tell you one thing if you don't take car insurance from dealer you will not get cashless claim only reimbursement allow. Specially with Maruti.
Same things happened with me. Dealers promises are fake if not documented. Tata motors promised for free 1 yr extended warranty. Dealer also promised for same. But it's more than six months, Tata motors is not giving any reply. Similarly they said I will get 2 yr warranty on seat covers, and provided bill after 5 days mentioning nothing about warranty. When I asked the head they said there is no Warrenty on accessories. They make u so many verabal promises but we should be alert.

Model Facelifts, are the worst scam… people are falling into. It’s like buying a 3 year old model. It should be made illegal, it not only reduces the price of the existing model, so you get less resale value, but the amount of extra money, consumers pay for the new one does not justify the improvement.
Most of the cars these days are not available ex stock and the dealers take a few weeks or months to deliver your ordered car. After booking the car and paying an advance amount you must insist that the day your car is loaded in the factory for despatch he must give you the VIN number , Engine number and the key number. This is what I did when I bought a new car in April this year. The dealer gave me these details the day my car was loaded in the factory and I paid the balance amount after cross checking when the car arrived. Odometer tampering is possible if the car was manufactured a few months before you actually buy it and it was laying in the dealer stockyard . If the dealer is offering immediate delivery at a time when there is waiting period in almost all the models , rest assured something is fishy. VIN or Chassis number as it is generally known helps you find out the full details of any vehicle. Check that and avoid anything manufactured 3-4 months prior to your purchase.

Aap yeh baat pehle discuss kar le.

I did my booking with the showroom in Kurla, Made complete payment of 12.65lacs in June 16 after the representative of the company told they would not be allocate a vehicle till they get the full money. Similarly an Indian Brand is saying Incidental Charges are compulsary to pay, and when we asking that we wont pay, they are like not willing to sell car without that. After talking to Customer care they had connected to dealership and still forcing to pay those charges, else they wont give us monthly offers.

I am having similar experience now .I was offered 15000 dealer discount for Hyundai car mumbai if I book the car on same day there was no any condition mentioned now they saying I have to take car finance from their partner else I won't get that 15000 discount .But luckily I have recording with sales guy over phone so I can take it up with their higher authority but they scamming now

I want to know, what things in the car come by default within ex-showroom price ? For eg: Dealers say, number plate, rearview mirror, mud flaps, autolock, floor mats, etc these items are all accessories you need to buy. How can we find what sort of things are included in exshowroom price.

Showrooms are looting public in name of Insurance. Better get Insurance on your own from Govt Insurance Companies Reasonable And Reliable Prices. At least we have offices to go and talk . Nice video sirji. Damage car is from MUMBAI a repuated dealer for seltos. However there were scratches and no dents I guess. But yes dealer was very rude I heard. With regards to insurance when I checked for Creta I see that dealer insurance is cheap by 4000 than talking from outside. Secondly it's better if one takes from dealer since that is Insurance tie up with manufacturer which means cashless claims would be easy to process without any issues then from talking outside and running individually with insurance co for claims and settlement this is what I have observed. Other essential packs n warranty in MUMBAI none of the car co dealers force but yes I have heard that is quite prominent in northern India..

All new Cars come with an Odometer where in its controlled through a BCM and the readings are recorded on an ecu and cant be tampered
Tata and Hyundai are the ones to tamper the odometer. Always disconnect the speedometer of the demo cars.

I bought new celerio in april2022, the dealer forced me to take insurance from their company ,i requested frequently but I had to buy insurance from them, they said they would not sell car without insurance from them
Dealer assured me to deliver car in this navratra April 2022 now at last min he said aqua color is not available and there would be delay by end of this month instead saying to take white color which wS never the choice. How to deal in such scenario?

pro tip: jab bhi koe new car lene jao to *Car* me hi jana vrna ye dealer wale sochte hain ki customer ko bhot lalsa(desperate) hai lene ko . dealers thought it's customers primary need.
Unnecessary harassment of the vehicle dealers will ultimately lead to closure of all dealers & vehicle companies will ultimately have to manage their own car showroom & service stations & spares. Or either sell cars online only. Customers will be ultimate loser. Customers के सारे नखरे झेलने वाला कोई रह ही नहीं जाएगा.

I want to know, what things in the car come by default within ex-showroom price ? For eg: Dealers say, number plate, rearview mirror, mud flaps, autolock, floor mats, etc these items are all accessories you need to buy. How can we find what sort of things are included in exshowroom price.

What is the guarantee that a test drive car from another showroom is not sold to you as a new car? Can they tamper with the records of the VIN?

Showrooms are looting public in name of Insurance. Better get Insurance on your own from Govt Insurance Companies Reasonable And Reliable Prices. At least we have offices to go and talk . It's my personal feeling. Don't take insurance from Showroom, they Charge Huge amount. Don't let them loot ur hard earned Money.
Nice video sirji. Damage car is from MUMBAI a repuated dealer for seltos. However there were scratches and no dents I guess. But yes dealer was very rude I heard. With regards to insurance when I checked for Creta I see that dealer insurance is cheap by 4000 than talking from outside. Secondly it's better if one takes from dealer since that is Insurance tie up with manufacturer which means cashless claims would be easy to process without any issues then from talking outside and running individually with insurance co for claims and settlement this is what I have observed. Other essential packs n warranty in MUMBAI none of the car co dealers force but yes I have heard that is quite prominent in northern India..
CUSTOMERS SHOULD NOT BUY INSURANCE FRON SHOWROOM IT IS NOT COMPULSARY ,YOU CAN TAKE IT FROM YOUR AGENT ON SAME DAY WHEN YOU ARE TAKING THE DELIVERY. EXTENDED WARRANTY IS ALSO NOT COMPULSARY.
