I agree with your safety tips. I have been travelling since 1988, and started travelling alone since 2000 (on car). No issues till date. My largest fear is car breakdown rather than other safety issues. Also, if you are travelling through dense forests with wildlife, then be aware not to get down or venture far from your car where there is no one. Wild animal risk is real.

I don't do anything out of the box to maintain my car. All I do is I get my car serviced at regular intervals and I strictly avoid over speeding.

A lot depends on the road conditions also.... 700 km on four lane roads can be done but on a single road this could be tough. I would suggest you divide your trip in 3 days if you are going on the route for the first time
