- We forgot to talk about Kaguya’s speech when asked “What Miyuki means to her” in our discussion so here’s our thoughts! We love that she realized Miyuki wasn’t being good for any malicious reasons. We feel like this has been reflected in some of her most recent interactions with Miyuki. Now instead of trying to “expose” his “real” conniving motivations by outsmarting him, Kaguya has now just been trying to get close to him any way she can. Her development is so heartwarming.. Like she is literally learning there are good people in the world who are just good to be good and WE LOVE TO SEE IT!

Shirogane's dad rarely appears in-episode, but when he does... he's usually the highlight of it.
Btw, that BGM playing when he enters the house (that's his character theme song in this anime)... it sounds like, or is a parody of Careless Whisper. There's a mashup somewhere in youtube, look for "careless daddy".
Not the first time they parodied a song for an anime BGM, there was also in ep9's Iino imagination that sounded like "Holding Out for a Hero".
Oh dear lord the Ishigami lore is starting.
I think "rules" is where Iino and Ishigami clash. They are a lot alike in that both of them have a strong sense of moral justice, but Iino is a stickler for rules and Ishigami is a rulebreaker, so that always puts them at odds with each other.
Miyuki's dad appears little in the anime and manga and still manages to be one of the funniest and more interesting characters. He has many quirks. For instance he is supposed to be a boomer who tries to be "cool" and keep "updated" about teenagers trends. That's why he used the "sugar daddy" term without having no idea what it really means. He thought that means he was a sweet dad. The joke is more complex in the manga.
He also follows last trends in terms of fashion (way more than Miyuki) and the manga even explores his side as youtuber XD. At the same time he looks serious and a bit creepy but he is a major troll who wants to play pranks to Kaguya and Miyuki. He is also one of the most perceptive characters... quickly reading all kind of situations.
I only just now noticed that in the scene depicting the magistrate the boy is Kashiwagi's boyfriend, the winner is Kashiwagi, and the other woman is the girl always following those two. I'd noticed that the magistrate resembles Ishigami, but not the other three.
One of the things I really like about the series is that, despite having a fairly large number of characters, the author makes an effort to establish a clear relationship between all of them. I especially like the relationship between Ishigami and Miko that’s shown in this episode, where they secretly help each other out, but that will become more relevant later on.
What makes Papagane so great is that he knew who Kaguya the second he saw her. He wanted to see how much she would mean to her son and when he "badmouthed" him. Let's say you will see more of him.
