This man is a great feeler. You have a way of bringing a writer out and letting the viewer share the person. This a great treat when listening to these. For sure, more long interviews please. This is beautifully real and helps me with my own wish to write. Thank you so much. ❤
Agree. It's a very long string of dialogue. Very unrealistic for a FaceTime session. She didn't ask how he felt or if he was in any pain? Really? Now, bearing in mind this was originally published in September of 2020 by The New Yorker, and they were probably gobbling up everything they could on LeVirus. Both widespread panic and censorship over LeVirus had setled in by then...the daughter may have been panicked, but I didn't get the urgency. The story could use a spit and polish, let's just say that. Then again, it got published--twice!
Thank you! Need this because I'm getting back to writing short stories again, and am about to write my first novel. Will take my time watching this. :)
I actually just released my first book last year and started my new one. However although I “know” what I want. Idk how to exactly execute going forward without sounding cringy or being extra wordy. I started the book since January paused the around mid February and trying to start again but I feel bleh on the direction I wanna go.

Blum's ability to weave complex emotions into his narratives is a gift 🤯

I can't believe it!! Now they have subtitles in Spanish!!! Thank you thank you thank you
I think the third example is a poor one. It is stilted and over explained via the dialogue. But great talk.
Thanks for posting your feedback.
