- We're on our way to Ireland! We start the day off by getting up very early in the Travelodge at Holyhead. We meet up with our friend and head over to the Holyhead/Caergybi ferry port. It's a Stenalink crossing from Holyhead to Dublin.
Here are some things I bought for my travels this year:
Packing cubes (I already LOVE THEM): amzn.to/3RRt64a
A toiletry bag with lots of sections: www.amazon.co....
A head wrap towel to keep my hair dye off the hotel/BnB towels! amzn.to/3RRlOgI
PayPal Tip Jar: paypal.me/imoandizzy
☕ If you would like to, you can buy me a coffee 😀

IB = Invisible Boyfriend. He's my boyfriend. He's real, but he's camera shy so you never see him in the vlogs though you will hear him. He is heard but not seen.

Imo is a flautist/flutist (flute player), and these vlogs will often take you behind the scenes of the life of a professional folk musician. Stand by for bits and bobs of live folk music and dance as they pop up in our day-to-day lives.
These videos will not generally feature recorded background music, making them extra suitable for people who aren't keen on pop music!
Follow this channel for daily-life vlogs (6 days a week, usually), content relating to the flute, travel (particularly to Lisbon, Portugal), folk musician lifestyle, and to see what life is like for this little family in our corner of South Wales in the UK.

Really enjoying your vlogs- great viewing!! Would love to hear you play more! Keith
Stena line is like the best boat I’ve ever been on
Wow! Movies, video games, bars, restaurants, or just hanging out on the deck, you'll never get bored on this ferry!
Oh lovely. We went as foot passengers on Irish ferries 28 years ago and we didn't have fancy buses pick us up. We did have a mini bus from the port to the town. Looks a very nice ferry inside
Those are cheeky friends that you have! Double entendres galore! The ferry is quite posh. With your hair dyed red, I initially thought you were of Irish descent. I look forward to tomorrow. Thanks
Plus people hold door open fod you for the chair lounge folliw them in no code rewuired ha
Very jealous. Dublin is my absolute favourite place in the world. Have a fantastic time
It was so windy on the ferry ,I can just remember going on the ferry across to Ireland to visit my Irish Grandmother and family many years ago .🤗x
Oh Dr Who circle decor on that ferry wall! And a weeping angel 😇
First. Wahoo.
That looked like a calm crossing.
Enjoy your trip to Ireland.
Safe travels.
Thanks 👍
Fantastic video I stayed in the same hotel as you and I went onboard this ship you went on it’s the future
Aw glad you like it. Tonight’s one is a ferry vlog too, Jack. We get to see inside a deluxe cabin! It was amazing!!
@@PlanetImo That sounds nice
That windy cold was identical to ours. Unseasonably warm for our winter but blustery cold winds. That's a grand ferry so glad that you explore. Imagine those others going outside as you went back inside. Lots of container shipping like that at ports. The work diesel truck that moves trailers here was called a shag tractor if I remember from our trucking days.
Eeeek how exciting!!!
Enjoyed watching you on the ferry xxx
Oh those invisible swingers sound like a blast 😆 🤣
Stena Europe fishguard is currently in Liverpool for repair following a fire and we are booked on it! Maybe transferred to this boat as we need dog cabin x
Thank you for the guide
You do the best travel blogs I've never been to Dublin looking forward to your next vlog 👍💖🌸
Thanks so much 😊
Aw haven’t done this crossing since i was a kid :) so many times going to ireland with my nan :D breakfast looks tasty :) i can never sleep before travels im too full of beans! cute little cinema on board
Loved seeing this as this is a trip we definitely want to do and travel round on the wild Atlantic Way. Thanks for showing us the ferry crossing as we have only ever done the France one. What an amazing ferry cinema and lots more
Oh cool! I hope you have a fab time. :)
☘👋😊
Welcome to Ireland.
Irish sea different at times and last time traveled to Dublin was with lrish ferry's many years go I like steam packet from Liverpool to Douglas Isle of man from march to October
Quite a nice ferry! Have fun! Don’t get blown away 😂
Oh Dublin I would love to go there!
Invisible swingers made me laugh hard :D
😆
Nope.... that WAS your finest vlogging moment. Gave me a real giggle 😃
😁 ha ha ha ha!
We did this a few months ago. The ferry is extremely well kitted out for your crossing.
What identification they check to go ireland
Have to admit, those sort of crossings are the best, I usually go on Fishguard to Rosslare Stena Line 🙂
What a posh ferry. I've only ever been in a ferry to the Isle of Wight
I’m off to the Isle of Wight this summer! Dreading *DREADING* catching the car ferry as I’ve never done anything like that before! I hope it’s plain sailing 😂
Oh it’s fun! We did that just after lockdown. I have some videos of it on my channel.
@@PlanetImo oooh I’ll take a look 👀
@@PlanetImo I’ve just had a look - thank you so much. I’m one of those people who like to prepare myself beforehand because I’m so anxious and I worry. Looking forward to our holiday x
A great tube 👏🏻by the way did they check any ID.
Thanks! Yes, I'm sure they did.... I can't actually remember and it's strictly forbidden to film security... they must have done though because it's not the UK, it's the republic, and we were coming from the UK. They would have checked our passports, I'm sure. Thanks so much for watching!
Thats totally me! I stress so hard when I need to sleep "fast" to not be a slug the next day, I always turn in too the slug :P
Same!!
Early starts are always a drag and horrible, we know the feeling!
A weeping Angel on board? And you still didn't jump ship? A bit of G-force on deck!😆
Wow, a road toll as soon as you arrive? Crikey, didn't know Ireland had any road tolls...
Apparently it does!
Got to have a Guinness in Dublin imo looked like a smooth crossing donny xx
Bless you 😆
It's so cool how much they can carry on a ferry, only been on one but I did not like it at all lol
Good video
😊 thanks
Hi from Holyhead train station to this ferry station how far is it ? Can you board with any amount of luggage 🧳 you have example your 🚲 2 big luggage with no extra charge ?
Hi! Thanks so much for watching. I'm afraid I don't know the answers to those questions as this was just a one off trip that I didn't organise ages ago. But I'll leave the question here and hopefully someone will help you out. Thanks again for watching.
Oh Imo!! That tanoy announcement warned you to dress warmly if you went out 😆
Does it matter what car you take to crossover? I have a diesel 2008. I won’t get any unnecessary charges, right?
Oh! That's a good question. I don't know and I don't drive so it's not the sort of thing I tend to know about. Hopefully someone else will spot your question and answer it for you. Thanks for watching :)
Careful! Don't get blown overboard!
I wanted to have a look out of window and there isn't a lot to sea
I sea what you did there
☕☕♥️♥️🏴
your lucky is day time imagine if it was night will be way more 👻 ghost time.
Does someone have a cabin for that short of a trip? Or is the ferry used one some longer hauls perhaps ?
Sometimes they do, for getting a nap or a shower.
@@PlanetImo how long was the trip?
I have travelled this ship as a truckdriver. Mostly daily and used the cabin to take a shower. Besides a cabin there is a large truckersrestaurant on deck 8, love the trip.
North Wales Police took me to a side room.. when I undertook my Dublin day trip 😂
it wont kill you to say hello i dont bit lol
👋 Hello. Sorry - I don't always manage to respond to all my comments. I'm as bad on my own personal Facebook account and DM's if it's any consolation. There are just too many to manage. Thanks so much for watching.
Hopefully you got home safe and well lemo
Is your friend invisible too? 😅
They were happy to be in the vlog a bit later on when I asked them :) I was delighted as you can well imagine! So many people don't want to be on camera. There's a lot of self-consciousness out there.
@@PlanetImo Ooh! I’ll have to keep watching to see them. I’m binge watching your trip and loving it, I feel like I’m on holiday with you. 😀
Aw fab. That's my aim so I feel all affirmed now! Ha ha! Thanks, Julia. x
I find if I need to set an alarm, I don't sleep too good, always waking up to check the clock. ha. When you were in Dublin, is that considered part of the UK?. or is known as Europe? What is Wales considered? I find it all a little confusing. Nice that you have another couple to explore around with. Enjoy!!
Dublin is not part of the uk. It’s the Republic of Ireland. It’s Southern Ireland. Northern Ireland, however is part of the UK. The UK left the European Union so now Southern Ireland remains in the European Union and Northern Ireland doesn’t. X
❤🫖☕🍪❤
Funny how Brits say "It's Europe!" when they land to another European country, like the UK is not in Europe. You are no longer in the EU, but you are still in Europe!!
