You just reminded me why I still prefer the Durango over the Grand Cherokee L. I still want a sporty drive. I’ve read online about replacing the Durango with a rebadged Citroen or Peugeot. Nuts to that
One of the underrated 3 row SUV. It's driving dynamics are great. I would go for a lower end trim and keep up with the periodic maintenance for a good value over time. 2022 is a good buy because it's supposed to have addressed all the issues until 2021. 5 years from now these machines will be a rarity as the EV boom takes over.
Drove both for a few thousand miles over a week last year. Explorer's chassis feels more solid to be honest, but the Durango is at least 10x more fun. Ford wins in tech and features, exterior and sportiness is a Durango's win
Any chance on doing a review on the 2022 Durango RT. Without the tow and go package. I am in the marked and am leaving towards the RT would really like to know the ins and outs of it.
@@saiyanyamaha1739 what are you talking about. The weight is similar to my Ram while still being lighter. Idk if you read it but I was in a Ram 1500 crew cab. My truck is much faster now than it was the day I smoked that RT.
Dude, my only complaint is maybe be quiet for more than 1 second while driving so we can actually hear how loud and quiet the road and engine noise is. Otherwise very quick but good video
So my gf and I are actually arguing about this. I want a ram, she wants this Durango. My argument specifically was the two rear seats being so close to the back end, and that if someone rear ended her the kids sitting in the back would definitely suffer whiplash. (This is only an argument because we are a family of wrestlers and she says it’s best for carpooling to tournaments) our kids are also young, one of which is just old enough to make decisions on where she wants to sit. Now both the ram and Durango are in my budget. If family safety is my main concerns and “ego” and “because I can afford it” is my other, would you recommend the Durango or the ram? Since this is a Durango video use the like button for the Durango and the dislike button for the ram. And the comments to let me know that I’m being a dummy and that the Durango is much safer and over all better if I really am concerned about safety. Lol
The two rear seats are actualy not even as much of a problem as I imagined them to be. We have them folded down for “trunk” space. We took it on a road trip this last weekend, and the kids loved it. So much space. My daughter was able to do some home work (her decision) becaise we were able to fit a kids table top across her lap without it cramping her up and making her feel uncomfortable. Our son was able to play with his toys while watching UA-cam becaise we were able To fix my gf phone to the back of her head rest. Everything just worked out. Haha.
I’ve been watching your videos for a while. I do not understand why you tell us the turn signal stocks and wiper stock. That’s a given. I get telling about the tires but majority of cars will have the same size tires front and back. Probably be easier just to tell us when they are staggered. I enjoy your videos because you bring us lots of different trims but some of the info is silly and you don’t give us the other information. We have to pause and read the window sticker. Most of the time the sun or tint blocks the window sticker.
he is saying "Stalk" not stock lmao its called a turn signal stalk or a wiper stalk he's not saying that they are stock. Like you said that's a given haha. And if he's not giving you all the info you need on the car why are you pausing to look at the window sticker and then complaining when you cant read it because of the glare like you cant just look the make and model of the car up on google and find lots more detailed information. Considering that he makes videos on such specific interiors and makes of cars you should be appreciative for any information he puts in his videos of these cars instead of criticizing the few things he didn't include. Next time consider the work someone has put in on a video like this along with the amount of other videos he's made and all the time he puts in on his channel before you decide to leave a somewhat stupid comment like this.
I’ve never been a fan of dodge. I owned a dart and keep compass, they’re junk. After those vehicles I promised my self I’d never buy a Chrysler fiat product. Although, the Durango is a great looking vehicle.

EV boom will never be feasible for us rural Midwest folks unfortunately 😕
@@Cooked79 the ev boom isn't feasible at all the technology just isn't there yet
There will never be an EV boom......Hydrogen is the future!
Thanks for reviewing the base trim.
Nice reveiw it’s an old product that’s updated but probably a better product than a Ford Explorer

Every Durango I see has fog lights. Even base trims. But my GT does not. I heard they may come pre-wired for them. Do you know if this is true?
Nice bro❤
0:30 Battery is in floor of inside rear cabin!😒

I have one bro you will love it I promise
@@Remyboi345 got one and have had it for about 6 months. I do definitively love it!
Is the Durango SXT larger than Grand Cherokee Laredo?
Thx for the review 👍
Great review!
When you started reving I was like “bruh just stop”😂
I smoked an R/T Durango in my stock Ram from a dig. Passed him with ease after he had a head start. That honestly shouldn’t be.
Probably a poser with RT badges. The RT is fairly quick.
Durango is a whole 3 row suv of course you're going to pass it it doesn't matter what engine u have its all about the dynamics and weight

I mean it is a 3 row suv
sure you did.
It doesn't have navigation though
You can activate it later for the same price it would’ve costed to order it with it. That’s for all Chrysler vehicles with the 8.4 or bigger screens
Very nice!!

Wow that's expensive for an old SUV. Kia telluride has nothing to worry about!
Yeah If you want to look like a soccer mom. I'll take the Durango every time.
WTF, the Durango is lot better and much cooler to drive , it drives well , reliable and beautiful what more do you want ?
The telluride is overrated IMO
The Durango is a lot bigger than the Telluride. It’s like comparing the explorer to the expedition, not really a comparison
To me it has no appeal...the older body style looked way better
The old one was clunky and a dinosaur. My mom had one glad it's gone 🤮
I prefer the 98-2003 Durango
