Remember the phases of stimulus we've had:
Phase 1: Test Funding
Phase 2: Health and Hospitals Funding
Phase 3: CARES Act ($1,200 Stimulus Checks, PPP, EIDL)
Phase 3.5: More PPP, EIDL Money for Small Biz
Phase 4: Heroes Act (Pending extra $1,200). AKA Cares 3 or Cares 2.
PLUS Infrastructure bill (separate from these phases).
This is my take on whether there will be a second stimulus check. First, we know that the Federal Reserve and popular economists make it very clear that now is NOT the time to focus on the debt or the Fed's Balance sheet. Now is the time to make sure the economy is not permanently scarred. Well to see if they'll actually be another round of stimulus - another stimulus check - it's helpful to see how the CARES Act #1 was passed. When we understand how the last CARES Act was passed, we'll know a lot more about the likelihood of the HEROES Act (HR 6800) passing - it'll help us weed out the noise of political screaming between Mitch McConnell and Nancy Pelosi. We'll also look at the Emergency Money for the People's Act (EMPA), which offered $2,000 per month

Ok so I applied for the loan and got an email to set up a portal for the loan offer and another email asking me to check my information and update and my loan was accepted but I have not accepted it and I have not seen the grant money and I applied on the 17th of June and got accepted for the loan on the 18th and here it is the 30th and I figure I'd ask to see for some advice or if I should just keep waiting or do I have to accept the loan to get the grant money

I told my roommate about the EDIL grant (she's a trainer and runs her business through an LLC), and she already received her $1,000 stimulus plus a $10,000 loan.

As someone who really really likes cars, I think the Auto shut off feature is terrible. That WOULD be a waste of money. I along with other car enthusiasts would figure out a way to override it and shut it off. Everyone already does it with o2 sensors, cat converters, and plenty of other stuff. Less regulation is needed, not more.

Retails sells are up in May? You don't say. I mean, some people are just now getting their FIRST stim-check. People used that money to grab things from stores, not all people but a lot of people bought luxury items so yes..RETAILS are going to go up. People are homeless and people walk by them everyday and never think twice about giving to them or helping them. Now, many are on there way to being homeless. This should be a humbling experience to all. As I’ve mentioned before, there are many creative ways to get income online until this passes. @@startedbroke I did get the 1000 but didn't last long. I put it into my company vehicle. Tried to hang on but the big contracts weren't there anymore. So after 3 weeks I decided to go the unemployment route until I can find something better or if the economy comes bouncing back strong, which looks like a pipe dream right now.
I just had three cancerous tumors removed, so I can use this time for recovery right now.

You missed a detail: by targeting PEL Grant recipients they are targeting PEL Eligibility (a.k.a. depending on your area, much lower income bracket - typically the lower 1/3 of those who would get it from the HEROES Act, AND, under-graduate hoping to make it with some kind of degree); by contrast, passing the HEROES Act gives the same money to everyone who would have been eligible for EIP (a.k.a. the lower side of middle income, AND, in some cases "oh, extra play money for someone who was just a semester away from finishing medical school")

What does the public do if they have yet to receive any unemployment 10 plus weeks later. Has anyone asked the president why the states aren't monitored. Nevada had 10's of thousands of people waiting 2 months or more for a single payment.
My job is open and still won't give me hours with this pandemic. Unemployment is about to run out.. after July I don't know how I will pay rent. So worried.

He's got a vid in here about that. The top income for getting 1st one was pretty high $50,000 or $75,000 a year. If you and wife made less, you can still get CARES $1200 ea or $2400 married. BUT HURRY. IRS WEB SITE Economic Stimulus too goes thru some yes and know questions that lead eventually to you qualify or don't. But get more info than mine. I'm learning as I go by watching meetkevin and anything else I can read online. 2nd Checks aren't clear yet or if or when... 🙄

I work in Las Vegas as a room service waiter. All the precautions were only meant to make the guest comfortable, but did not protect us. None of them wore a mask, and we still had to go into the room if they wanted. One of my coworkers came to work sick with corona and they wouldn't tell us anything. they shut down for a few hours and cleaned, but I never saw it reported. someone told me we had a shit ton of cases. I got tested Friday, and whew... negative for now because my family is exiling me because they think I'll bring it home. Finally they told guests to wear masks at the door, but only about 50% are....
If they give another stimulus it will be in August or later September

I'm so glad you asked this actually. I'm so annoyed that our stimulus was taken even though the children in our situation want for NOTHING. They still get food, medical, welfare benefits, etc... Yet MY SON and family lost out on $3900 that should have helped us get through these last few months. Don't get me wrong...I understand kids need the support, but if they aren't losing ANYTHING without our stimulus, why do the children we have to support INSIDE our home have to lose?! Not cool at all.

They're going to wait until the last minute, because they want to be as financially conservative as possible, and with things changing so rapidly day to day, they want to base it off of the information available up to the very last minute. That's my take anyway. They probably also want to scare as many people as possible to get jobs rather than relying on the unemployment. My job ended due to covid and the industry I worked in is on hold until everything goes back to normal. (Events and field marketing.) But the good news is that it really seems like it's going to be extended, just perhaps at a lower amount.

Side note...automatic engine shutoff in cars is not only an annoying feature, but the additional consumption of resources it will take for all the premature repairs that will be needed for said vehicle aren't taken into account as far as environmental impact.
Auto start/stop heavily wears down a cars ignition and puts more undue strain on the engine since instead of turning your car on 1 to 3 times a day, you now effectively are turning the engine over ten times as much a day depending on how many stoplights you hit.
