Coach Odom short time as Head Coach at UNLV was a class act .He will bring a winning program to Purdue which can't do much better than they have done this year. in the Mountain West. Good Luck
Odom a good coach. I hope UNLV can continue its excellence in football and continue to grow the program. And I hope they somehow still land in the reconstituted PAC12. But back to Odom and Purdue. A terrible move…by Odom. Purdue isn’t even in the same galaxy on the field, athletic budget, or NIL collective as Michigan, Oregon, Ohio State, USC, or Penn State. Furthermore, they are behind Washington, Indiana, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Michigan State. The best they can possibly hope for is to fight for scraps at the bottom of the B10 with Rutgers, Maryland, and UCLA. As for Purdue, I don’t care about them one way or another. I am just speaking objectively on the situation. If he wasn’t interested, or not a candidate for West Virginia or North Carolina, I suspect one more winning season with UNLV would have opened any number of top 25 perennial blue blood programs for him by 2026.
Coach Odom did so much for UNLV...got the football fan base reinvigorated...made UNLV nationally known. But as it is now......UNLV has lost the best coach we ever had. You can bet most of our recruits next yr will opt out and transfer either to purdue or somewhere else. You can also bet allot of players on the team will enter the transfer portal to join Odom. And UNLV will once again go back to a 3 win team. With our mens basketball team in ruins....with no hope in sight.....our days of being revelent in division 1 football and basketball have gone up in smoke. If we don't nail the football hire...UNLV might as well drop out of the MW..and drop down to division 2 status. UNLV simply isn't good enough to compete nationally anymore. Gone are the glory days of tark and the runnin rebels. UNLV fans are sick and tired of being everyones doormatt.
Salud to Coach Odom.....class act
As a Purdue fan, I am sorry for UNLV’s loss, but I’m excited to see what he can now do here at Purdue. Side note: this AD seems like a class act.
the AD seems like he couldnt care less

Hire D'Anton Lynn USC's DC Lynn's defense and Marrion's offense would be a perfect combo.
Soo funny
Barry was like, “Time to GTF outta Cowtown.”
Have you been to Indiana? (I'm a Purdue alum)
