However, something I love about the song which makes it unique (and that I haven't seen anyone mention) is that it seems to be about both the soft and hard aspects of love illustrated by the two very different sounds put together. The verses between the chorus are all soft and romantic about the emotional, cutesy side of love, especially during the pining and flirting stages. Then the chorus goes hard, because, well, love, especially when the lovers eventually get together, can get pretty intense (They even kinda spell it out at 4:02 lol). I thought that this contrast was really innovative and fun. I actually liked the hard parts more and wish the whole song had that vibe. But I see where you're coming from about it not being very cohesive

The lyrics made me really uncomfortable especially since most of them are minors and then when they starting wildin and lifting up their shirts I was like NO 😭
If you read the lyrics and listen I see what theyre going for with the sound , love is a chaotic roller coaster etc so the instrumentals follows that idea but it is like 2 songs smashed together and its a bit too jarring for me to really vibe with it. The LED screen and the rap line stole the show really, I could watch both all day.

I have to agree here. I like the song, but the starting 2 loops during the chorus sound gnarly compared to the rest of the song. Idk how else to put it, too hard. The last 2 loops are fine it’s just the first 2. It’s catchy but I don’t think I’ll be pining to listen to it for a while until it grows on me.
