Hello, @OnBoardHD: Retired US MD here, love flying as a passenger. First video of yours I’ve seen. Just a query, not a critique - what is your point about this video flight on 737 MAX 9? Just that seeing your one flight report video here of 5 hrs on a Boeing 737 MAX 9 means that all the 737 MAX 9’s are safe to fly now? Or what’s your main intent here or information you’re trying to convey? Thank you, Dr. J.
I agree; healthy competition leads to innovation, improvements and lower prices! I find it breathtaking to land at LAX (my home airport) in the evening.... thank you for another great video!!
Another informative video .I agree with you 1 incident which I am sure was scary for passengers is surely a lesson learned for the manufacturers but cannot define the airline so long live Boeing.
@sebcat04 The 787 wasn't rushed in development. Airbus have had issues going on for decades. Airbus deserves its own downfall, they have also been rising the wave of their name and producing aircraft that are just barely passable to regulators when they are actually truthful to regulators too
I grew up near LAX in Hawthorne, when we were teens we would go to airport as they had a flight deck where you could watch planes. I was even in the old tower as my dad worked for FAA
Welcome back my friend Lucas !! .. and as always beautiful sharing masterpiece work and absolutely spectacular beautiful shooting filming footage compilation and the takes off looks super awesome and the landing night views look stunning footage capturing and the filming camera work catch as always beautiful and perfection, hands down hats off to you again my friend and you doing such an amazing job!! .. keep it up and I really appreciate and enjoy watching your lifestyle documentary video channel travel trip reports, take care and stay safe my friend and have a wonderful blessed weekend and million thanks again from Montreal QC Canada ..
Feliz domingo!

Thanks a lot! As I said on the video, I truly believe the MAX is a great plane which was developed under the orders of incompetent CEO's and administrators. It will take time to recover the confidence, but once done, the MAX is in my opinion a great plane.

You’re absolutely right, it’s in Boeing’s best interest to follow all quality control procedures so they’ll be sure to follow them. Very civilized quiet flight. I always love Honolulu Airport. Been there many times. The landing and take off views are so beautiful. Thank you for another wonderful video. Safe travels ✈️
@@OnBoardHD Thank you for your reply. Yes the approach if its even dark is breathtaking. When you deplane and walk through the beautiful greenery and open air hallways, that special "tropical" smell, its like you are on this amazing tropical island in the South Pacific.

Yeah... some other airlines are also deciding not to install the screens at it saves some money and weigh on the aircraft... Glad that you've enjoyed the video!
This was a great report: the retracting jet bridge and later the approaching one, the view from above of metropolitan LA at night, the blue interior lights. First I thought the 737-MAX would be the safest plane after the grounding, because I thought the reason was a QC system degradation. But now it becomes more clear that it's more a company culture problem. And that's much harder to change.
Thanks a lot! I think it was a CEO and management culture, not a company culture. Aviation industry is very safety focused, and the majority of Boeing workers were there before this trash management came... I think it won't be so difficult to put it back on track as soon as they are all gone.
Being partial to AS, I am extremely disappointed in their meal service offerings. They used to offer top notch meals to both classes but that is long gone and from the looks of it, it won't be coming back. Part of the enjoyment I get when flying is the meal service so I guess I will think twice about flying AS but then all US carriers meal services are rock bottom if at all! Thanks for your review!
I agree with you. A very important part of my enjoyement onboard any flight is the meal service. And airlines are really starting to figure that out. For many years everyone said/thought the airplane food is trash... but not at all. Specially in airlines like Emirates or Qatar Airways... they have better food than the 90% of the restaurants of my city.
Last year I went to the US for a first time. After 10 hours LH flight from Fra to Seattle, I continued my journey to Alaska with Alaska on one of their brand new max9. It was the last flight of the day for the max and it took us to Alaska safely and smooth. Even with all of the issues it is a great plane and I believe that if EASA and other aviation authorities conducted also their unbiased checks, this would further increase people’s confidence in the plane. And also may prevent further accidents because, unfortunately, personally I don’t believe the FAA a word anymore. Awesome video btw, been a subscriber since…I don’t remember 😂, when you had so many FR flights 2016-2017(one of my favourite tripreports).
Thank you for this video. I am flying on a 737 MAX later this year and was feeling rather nervous. You have put my mind ease. (Don't know why I was nervous as I used to be cabin crew and always on the 737!)

Today we almost saw your face! haha ha. I appreciate both Boeing and Airbus and there are always problems. Today the focus is on Boeing due to the accidents with the Max. However, Airbus has had many problems as well. The Max is a very quiet plane, isn't it? Greetings from Brazil :)
I agree. The only problem with Boeing is how it became only profit focus in the last decade... now that they saw that path would only take them to bankruptcy are reacting. The MAX, like all planes that have new-gen engines, is very quiet, yes. :)

KLM is already on the channel with 2 long-haul trips and many short-haul ones. But yes, I'm planning to make a flight to St. Marteen with KLM... hopefully soon!
Boeing has many quality control problems at this time. The FAA has many inspectors inside the plants that assembled the airframes. At least Alaska grounded there Max 9 for a full inspection and found several aircraft missing the 'door plug' anchor bolts.
Yeah, in my opinion, is not the best decision... but the pros for the company are less cost in acquiring them and maintaining them, and also less weight on the plane, so less fuel consumption on every single flight. Meanwhile, they can offer almost the same content on the passenger's phone with just an antenna... but not the same experience, for sure.
They never say the pilots names Pretty fast taxi speeds Don't think I would like to live in the house inside the volcano. Love the flowers in the bathroom.
I used to get that question many times... I really can't help with that since I have never been nervous about flying. My only nerves were because I wanted it to happen :) Maybe if you try to read about how airplanes fly and what are the physics behind them it could help you see how safe it is... I don't know. Wish you luck with that!
I agree with you that Boeing needs to stay in business and do well. The more manufacturers of aircraft there are, the better the aircraft we as passengers will have. It is against our own self interest to hope Boeing goes out of business. Airbus needs Boeing and Boeing needs Airbus. I am 100% confident to fly on the Max. If it was unsafe, then the pilots and flight attendants that operate these flights on a daily basis would not fly them. Most of the controversy around Boeing has been media driven, which creates a hysteria in the public. It's ridiculous.
Mmm Actually for now it won't be that route, but this week that starts tomorrow I will be recording something to Mallorca that soon will come to the channel :))
Why do Airlines in America keep the window blinds closed during boarding as well as take off surely it would be a lot safer to keep them open during this period in case of an emergency
Actually it's a recommended procedure by Boeing/Airbus for places where it's very hot outside or when the Sun is very strong. It helps to keep the temperature inside the cabin... but the problem is that the crews do it on every single airport, no matter if it's -10ºc outside and completely overcast or in the desert with +40ºc.

Just a recommendation can you do more TUI UK flights because I really like them fav airline
For now Jet2 is confirmed. Hopefully TUI soon as well!
So they did'nt give You food on this flight, it is because the trip is shorts or because the type of airline?
Mmm I think Alaska doesn't give any food included on the ticket on any flight they operate. Just the very little snack I showed just before the food.
Could you make a trip report on KLM maybe???
KLM is already on the channel with 2 long-haul trips and many short-haul ones. But yes, I'm planning to make a flight to St. Marteen with KLM... hopefully soon!
@@OnBoardHD Ohhhh can't wait to see it!
Witch Camera u use for Filming?
You have that ifo on the description of every video :))
@@OnBoardHD thanks a lot!
Thanks for taking us onboard and Alaska Airlines 737-9Max. The plane is safe and so are you! :-)
Thanks so much!! :))
Glad tha you enjoyed the video!
Je suis d'acord, mon enfant. Airbus ET Boeing.
Glad that you liked the video!
I was told that this airline stopped using max 9 since end January and now you fly with it? Strange!
They were grounded for inspections, but of course they are all flying already all around the world.
Nice trip report. any flights soon in asia again?
Mmm lets see. Probably yes.
@@OnBoardHD SWISS 777 to Bankok/Singapore/Hong Kong/Tokyo would be crazzzyyy
@@Aegean001 we'll have SWISS 777 to SFO 😎😎✈️✈️
@@OnBoardHD lets gooooo
Boeing has many quality control problems at this time. The FAA has many inspectors inside the plants that assembled the airframes.
At least Alaska grounded there Max 9 for a full inspection and found several aircraft missing the 'door plug' anchor bolts.
The quality issues were evident. The same way, I believe they are doing everything the can to solve this problem and avoid future ones.
1 thing that i hate about alaska airlines is they don't have the TV
Yeah, in my opinion, is not the best decision... but the pros for the company are less cost in acquiring them and maintaining them, and also less weight on the plane, so less fuel consumption on every single flight. Meanwhile, they can offer almost the same content on the passenger's phone with just an antenna... but not the same experience, for sure.
They never say the pilots names Pretty fast taxi speeds Don't think I would like to live in the house inside the volcano. Love the flowers in the bathroom.

Advice for a nervous first time flyer?
I used to get that question many times... I really can't help with that since I have never been nervous about flying. My only nerves were because I wanted it to happen :)
Maybe if you try to read about how airplanes fly and what are the physics behind them it could help you see how safe it is...
Exactly. Hopefully they will soon recover from all this ✈️✈️
Embraer is also very nice, but definitely a smaller player.
could you make a flight from zurich to mallorca
Mmm Actually for now it won't be that route, but this week that starts tomorrow I will be recording something to Mallorca that soon will come to the channel :))
@@OnBoardHD or have you heard of basel
Next go to South America
That will happen, it's booked, but for after northern hemisphere summer.
But at least I’m flying the 737-900 back to Oakland until 1 month
Wish you an amazing flight!! :))
LOL, I love the Max. It's funny how everyone brings up the door incident, yet the Max 9 has yet to be in a fatal accident-only the door plug.
Well...
Ok nmin ang b 737max ❤❤
I don't understand what you say..
Boeing C- Max are anyway still scary for flying.
they are not scary to fly in
They have already millions of safe flights done ;)
Porqué no muestra su rostro el operador?
because he doesn't show his face?
I will never fly Boeing again
Don't fly Alaska, Southwest, Ryanair and others. Good lack!
then dont fly
Well, poor decision in my opinion... but good luck with that.
Hope you've enjoyed the video anyway.
Q ganas
Espero que cumpla las expectativas! ✈️✈️
My favourite airline is Japan airlines and Lufthansa
Nice picks :)
I agree about Boeing and the MAX. I am also a Boeing shareholder, so i put my money where my mouth is.
✈️✈️
Soy un fan acérrimo de Airbus. Pero creo q Boeing es necesario. Boeing hace mejor a Airbus
Es absolutemente necesario.
