I understand that with the series being more dramatize than reality but George life in the series was really tragic, groomed by his mother while he seeks his mother affection and when he achieved what his mother want, he was left hanging (Mary have more genuine affection to Sandie than her own child) and he was manipulated by the court (Bacon mostly) especially with the king being absent. He is really not good at leadership but with no proper good guidance, the power corrupt him. As for his relationship with the king, some would say is more genuine than his relationship with Mary. And it annoyed me mostly how he died as if he was nothing, killed by a friend of a soldier under his guidance when in reality George was plotted to killed by an embittered army lieutenant because he was not promoted (due to his own fault) in a crowded room so nobody know who did it.. but the army confessed and was hanged as warning to others.
George was stabbed to death by a man called Felton in an inn before many witnesses. Felton as tortured and executed. George was buried in Westminster Abbey, as was his mother. They, and James, remain buried there.
Yes, I think the show was more about mary. George and James were kind of neglected especially James. Sometimes I feel like even charles and George had a deeper relationship than Mary and George 🙃🙃
