Thanks for the footage of a promise that was made 50yrs ago! It's such a bottleneck and you can forget trying to go through there in holiday times. With a bit of luck, this will be completed by 2050!
Not sure if you're a local or not but the works are progressing very quickly. I intend to do update shoots every few months. The completion date I believe is late 2025 or there abouts.
I believe it is about 14klms long, with three tunnels. I will do another flyover update when the wind settles, it has been gusting up to 63kms between 50 to 100 meters elevation. Drones cannot handle that sort of wind when taking photographs.
Hi Alex, sorry it was not me. But any day you are going out to train, let me know and I will come down if available. You can PM me through my FB page or email me at woopidrone@gmail.com
They should bring the Chinese in it would be done in 6 to 8 months, I can see this taking a few years we are so hopeless at building anything in this country.
I am not to sure the Chinese would do such a fantastic job of controlling the sediment errosion on site as these guys are doing. The water ways are pretty clear considering the amount of bare earth on site and the rain that we have had.
The weather has been a problem the last few weeks with wind gusts up to 50klms at 50 metres and above. Next update will be in early November, weather permitting. The smoke is also an issue for quality footage.
Nice pictures, and I'm sure it'll be worth the wait. 👍
I will be doing another update in a few weeks.
@@woolgoolgadronephotography Sounds marvellous. 👍🙂
Great footage thanks. Im not sure where some of it is but good to see the progress.

They say it’ll be finished by 2026 but everyone knows that’s not happening 😂

Waiting for October addition or the 3rd monthly addition
