One of my favortie DW exchanges. I think about this clip at least once a year when I put the skirt around the Christmas tree or when I go to someone else's house and they have a Christmas tree skirt. I just smile and think of these lovely Southern Ladies. God bless them.
Thank goodness for streaming channels that you can see this show again and again. Miss the old cast of DW. It was not the same when Delta left and even when Jean Smart left afterwards.

This reminds me of that one rant Julia had towards the northern reporter about southern people eating dirt. It went like" we southerners don't hide our crazy people-we bring em down and let em go about" or something to that effect. Bernice Clifton-Southern crazy woman with class.
I remember the episode where one of the neighbors stole their idea for a Christmas decoration. "I say we get some rocks and sticks and go show them the real meaning of Christmas." ~ Bernice
The shoulder pads made me think of an episode of the Golden Girls. I believe it was Blanche had mentioned something to Dorothy about her shoulder pads and her response was..."I m not wearing any!!" 80s sitcoms were the best!!!
