    This is dope! I like that she doesn't seem to complain about the challenge of being a girl in a tough sport. She understands that it is what it is. I like her attitude about it. I coached highschool girls AAU basketball. We made them scrimmage guys/ men all the time. Then smashed most teams we played by 25+. Love her tough mentality! She will do well in life!

    • @midnight-2021
      @midnight-2021 Рік тому +1

      This is as far as a woman can go is the high school level. Boys when they become men get bigger, faster and stronger so it gets harder to play against males but still not physically impossible to play against males because of this advantage and women for the most part can handle and play with males even when males hit puberty. But when you play the best high school teams that blowout most high school teams during the season, you are playing against the best athletes with many of these better athletes playing better than they are able to play naturally because the top level high school teams players are using steroids or PEDs, Performance Enhaning Drugs. The PED use by these great athletes destroy most boys teams so they will destroy the female athletes as well. In D1 football they are even better athletes with these athletes on PED use as well while it gets even greater in the NFL. So when I hear girls and women saying that they want to play in the NFL, sorry it won't happen because you are going against the best male athletes with these male athletes making themselves even better than they naturally are by PED use. Maybe if the women take PED like the men, which was common with Olympic female athletes with the East German and USSR women in the 1970s and 1980s they might have a shot but even still I highly doubt that they would make it to D1 college level yet alone the NFL. Those East German women and USSR women that took PED back in the 1980s looked like men, lol! PED use made them hugh with deep voices, lol and some people thought they they were men.

Of the veterans, only superstar Alev Kelter came from a contact sport background, international ice hockey. Rookie Samantha Sullivan only took up rugby in college. Ik this is late but for some clarification my cousin played her in freshman football, and for a girl going against boys she’s was good, but as an actual normal player she was kind of mediocre, I mean she could find the holes easily but that was about it she didn’t rally juke or anything like that and went down after first contact, also a stranger issue was since she was a girl she was already developed… she was 5’10 and taller then some of her linemen meaning you could see her whenever she got the ball. all an all for a female running back she wasn’t bad just nothing special

    I am confused about the purpose of this story. If transgender athletes are dominating female sports, and this story is supposed to inspire us, what message are we supposed to take away? Is it simply about being tough, even if you're slower, smaller, and weaker? These types of feel-good stories may have contributed to the current controversy surrounding transgender athletes in female sports. Furthermore, I noticed that the footage of the athlete in question was brief and there were instances where opposing players seemed to hold back. While one commenter asked why gender even matters, it seems that the people who posted this story on UA-cam do care about it, as evidenced by the numerous comments congratulating the athlete. However, I am left wondering if the athlete is being celebrated for simply being a mascot.

Soccer is not an equivalent for football, but softball is for baseball. Second, Ohio has very strong traditions in both football and wrestling, and girls have done well against the boys in both sports. Olympic weightlifter Holley Mangold played on the offensive line for a very good high school team, and at least one girl has competed successfully in the state wrestling tournaments.

With the strength difference in boys and girls there is no way kids aren’t rockin her! Look how she runs. If they are taking it easy on her that’s not fair to her either as it builds false confidence. I will say that’s not what we should focus on. It’s impressive how she decided to follow in the footsteps of other females who have done it already and she stuck it out. Just like any kid who is deemed the underdog. Rudy was s great story, but he sucked! Haha! Two-three plays don’t make you a HOFer!!! Good for Bella doing what she loves. Much respect and best of luck. Run a little lower! I have two daughters. I want them to aspire to do anything the set their mind to. Sky's the limit! Bella is an inspiration and a great example.
    But let's be honest...
    Anyone who has played any level of football beyond Jr. High knows that the level of physicality is different. Even with just the available game footage from this mini-feature shows you that she is receiving special treatment. They do not form tackle her in game speed. It was arm drags, pushes out of bounds, or incidental contact after a TD. She was never hit - squared up - running through a gap. There were SEVERAL opportunities to neutralize her at the line of scrimmage - with unblocked players - that could have put a shoulder into her and stopped her for no yards gained or very little yards. They didn't.
    So what are we doing here?
    Are we promoting special treatment for a person - who does not look that fast, doesn't have good cut ability, and is considerably less athletic compared to the average HS running back?
    For the idea of a girl being able to achieve something in a very physical and violent sport that is primarily played by boys?
    I don't believe the argument from physical ability is met here. I want to see her do the oklahoma drill - where I am testing other players and their ability - and see her smash into them with violence and see how she holds up. I don't think she will. And I don't think she gets full-contact scrimmaging without some implicit exceptions.
    It's an inspiring story. Great job. But what did it actually take to help her meet those achievements? Did we compromise the game itself?
    How do the other players feel about giving their 100% best, fighting injuries, and competing to start in that particular position - while she clearly is treated with some exception?
    What are we truly teaching kids about giving your best effort despite insurmountable odds? Because football, life and society will not give exceptions.
