truly tdbeall - I wouldn't get it if I only saw this - but from about 1975 to the early 90's - they were absolutely the best live band out there - more fun - more awesome musicianship - more...everything
Don’t judge this band by this song alone… First off the band’s lead guitarist, song writer, and gentle giant Al Anderson isn’t here. This band was literally the best live band I’ve ever seen. They never played with a set list and you could see them dozens of times in a row and never hear them play the same set twice. Originally they were NRB and the Whole Wheat Horns, trumpet, sax, & a slide trombone. Now Terry Adam’s, keyboardist, carries the name on alone. While Big Al Anderson, lead guitarist & vocals, continues his prodigious song writing and solo career out of Nashville. Tom Ardilino, drummer passed on and Joey Spampinato, bass & vocals was in I’ll health? See wiki for their full history & members. There’s a real reason they’re so loved…the videos that exist barely capture their live presences.
Simpsons season 13 Homer to the Moe episode this song plays when they enter Moe’s euro styled new bar….wow ! For years I wanted to know what song this was !😊
tdball ... Just click around a little bit ... while this song with the horn players from the Sun Ra Arquestra is cool, its probably not a very good introduction to their work ... sample a little more ... if you've got 'big ears' ... you'll 'get' what's the big deal about them.
Credit Penn for actually knowing what NRBQ stands for. These guys do rock!
Zappa had nothin on the Q. This is absolutely brilliant. Q pays great homage to Sun Ra and Monk.
Hey watch yourself, the Q were mighty but not mightier than FZ!
Terry Adams: Professional Madman! Keep up the craziness Terry!

Monster musicians.
Lyrics, please? Thanks.
You had to see them to understand. Their whole show was great. Don't' judge them by one song.

Oh god. I bet Terry freaked out most of the people in that audience.

Not the same without Big Al, still better than most, but not the same
??????????????What's the big deal about them?
That's quite an overstatement but, whatever...
