    This helps me hugely! I commonly range cretaeous interfingered flows and lenses. Now I understand more of what I'm seeing. Helps with geological map symbol reading as well.

    GEO GIRL 😁😁.Yes I guess I was swimming here and not in the mud fans or alluvial fan you are correct 😅😊 but to be honest I wasn't fun time at geography during school but after seeing two of your videos by coincidence I became very excited and want to know and learn more and more about geography 🤩 ...thanks to you for sharing such a valuable information and i wish you also more progress and lots of success .

    from which book or paper you collected these images (4.10 mainly) please tell me i need it for reference

      I used the books Depositional Sedimentary Environments: amzn.to/3kutTso and Facies models 4: amzn.to/3Fp5v3B for the information.
      For the images, my links are in the description of the video. At 4:10 specifically, I used figure 8 from this paper: www.researchgate.net/publication/276526949_The_role_of_sea-level_change_in_deep_water_deposition_along_a_Carbonate_Shelf_Margin_Early_and_Middle_Permian_Delaware_Basin_Implications_for_reservoir_characterization/figures?lo=1
      Hope that helps! ;)

    Very informative video
    Is there a difference between fluvial and alluvial fans

    • @GEOGIRL
      @GEOGIRL  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you! :)
      Yes, alluvial fans are adjacent to mountain ranges where rocks pill up due to either gravity debris flows or those caused by water run off (here's a video I did over alluvial fans: ua-cam.com/video/CobjL0eXG00/v-deo.html). On the other hand, I actually haven't heard of fluvial fans, but my guess is those are fan shaped deposits directly due to fluval (river) input. So for example, fluvial fans may be included with alluvial fans such that all fluvial fans are alluvial fans but not all alluvial fans are fluvial fans. But that is just my guess, hope it helps ;)

    Bouma Sequence is named after Arnold Bouma, a legend in turbidite.

    Slides are excellent. Voice is very difficult to understand because of changing modulation in your speech patterns. It was a good presentation when muted.
