Why are the announcers so confused about what Votto did? He was definitely messing with the fans, plus all the people who stood up for the ball were Philly fans... he even did a joke celebration afterwards.
I tried the same thing in the game once and the ump gave me a warning saying something like you can't fake go for the ball its an automatic out... not too sure y
I saw that Ichiro play live, saw it like twenty times that night, and am revisiting here it again today. My mind has never changed on this fact: I think that was a catchable ball, and not by unordinary standards. Every time people have always given him so much credit for such a smart play. Personally, I still think to this day he could have caught the ball and kept the Marlins in the ballgame for a new inning.
Great list. The best example I ever saw was in 1991 during the world series. Ball was hit sharply over second base. Chuck knoblauch in his rookie of the year season uses a ground ball deke, even slapping his glove to imitate the sound of the ball hitting his glove. he saved a run preserving the Twins win. Chuck could have been one of the greats but had the throwing tips which even shortened his career. He was a small, plucky, tenacious player who could hit .315 or better when he was "on".
So you can steal bases but after they throw the ball you cant steal bases? I don't get it. What if someone tried to steal a base then they threw the ball? Or what if they started trying to steal a base right before they threw the ball? I don't get how anyone can even tell.
I like Ichiro's play @ 1:53 but I doubt Arias would have scored even if Ichiro had caught the ball, not on pop up all the way from first base? The ball hit the wall kinda low; Ichiro could have caught it or ran into the wall.
Having watched a bunch of MLB deke videos lately, I've noticed that almost every video I've seen seems to have at least one unique play from each of the following players: Ichiro (the only one in every video because of his tenure and savviness) Simmons Daniel Murphy I feel like with more time in, Enciarte will start being a big regular over the next few years, as well. Some of those were really good plays.
... go back and look at the Twins vs Braves world series game , when Jack Morris pitched , a very close game ,.. and the fake play by the 2nd baseman late in the game...
I thought the "fake outs" were where you spend seven bucks for peanuts and a soda in a cup; the soda is half ice and the peanuts have been repackaged from a 50-lb bag.
the first time ever that baseball was able to get my attention for more than 20 seconds lol glad I'm not the only one who feels like that, saw a lot of cellphones there lol
i had a fake-out kinda. it was a one hop to me at third base i missed the grab, but it deflected off my glove right to the shortstop to throw to 1st and get the out
Jim Rice was so good at playing the Green Monster He could keep looking at home with his back to the wall and position himself enough knowing full well where the ball would carom and wait for it to drop right in front of him and then throw the runner out.
Okay, I hate bb with every ounce of my being. I do however like fails, fake outs, broken bones, fights. I'm 2:49 into this video and I don't see squat as to what your title says.
For all of you that is confused about the last one a base runner can not attempt to make a play on a ball because he is a base runner same thing goes with a fielder you cannot block the path of a base runner the one you get an automatic out the other you get an automatic extra Bass
Can't believe you didn't show Chase Utley's fake throw you first in the 08 world series. Man on third, tie game, Utley fields a grounder and fakes a throw you first. Guy on third thinks he can make it home, Utley still has the ball and throws home to nab the runner. Tie preserved and the Phillies would go on to win the World Series that game.
Why are the announcers so confused about what Votto did? He was definitely messing with the fans, plus all the people who stood up for the ball were Philly fans... he even did a joke celebration afterwards.
Meier yea man. They were clueless nerds.
Votto is loco.
They clearly knew what he was going they. Said it right away. They wanted to know why.
Calen Corbett
Yes I am.
Even though this was most likely directed to the original comment I can still answer it by saying ME TOO lol
Did he wanna get hit with a battery? Cuz in Philly, that's asking for a downpour of D cells.
tag7100 do you honestly think batteries are even allowed in any professional sports stadium in the US
5:46 is my favorite reaction moment. "You got me, nice!"
beat me to it!
Loving that phantom throw, I thought only dogs fell for that shit
TheUKNutter lol
Ichiro's a genius and a sure Hall of Famer
My fav player of all time :)
Matt Scott ii
that play was really smart
Matt Scott i
Matt Scot
Ichiro was like a baseball mr. Myagi, absolute wizard. I used to love/hate when he came to Arlington lol.
simmons is a defensive genius
CooperE I miss him so much
Best play of entire video @ 7:10. Baserunner is so confused about where the ball is at!! Simmons is a beast!!
1:15 Why was he called out? He wasnt tagged. Nor did the ball touch him, he made it to 3rd base. What happened there?
I know
It was because he caused interference with the play
GK 12303
How? He didn't touch the ball in any way. He wasnt tagged yet he is out?
+Nysguy2003 but since he was obstructing the fielder view of the ball he was called out
I tried the same thing in the game once and the ump gave me a warning saying something like you can't fake go for the ball its an automatic out... not too sure y
Very nice change of pace. Retired or not, I get to see very little baseball. These are quite a nice thing to watch. Thank you.
That last one was incredible
I saw that Ichiro play live, saw it like twenty times that night, and am revisiting here it again today. My mind has never changed on this fact: I think that was a catchable ball, and not by unordinary standards.
Every time people have always given him so much credit for such a smart play. Personally, I still think to this day he could have caught the ball and kept the Marlins in the ballgame for a new inning.
That's what I was thinking.
Ur right it was a catchable ball unless he lost it in the air for a half second
He was playing smart, if he misjudged it and it was too high, that's a run or a inside the park hr
Also, on the Ender Inciarte play, I think that one was catchable
I agree 100% With Ichiro's speed he would have a very high chance at catching that ball.
This has been on my recommended for ever

Faze rain intro😂😂
Yo the song in the beginning. Is that "No Words" by Hopsin?
Votto was just having some fun, nothing wrong with that in a 162 game season..
Baseball has always been a game of deceit. The more you can fake out the opponent the better your chances are of winning.
It takes some real heads-up baseball to do this.
3:20 those announcers are clueless nerds.
That was 1 of the all time best decs.
Crowd Loves real G ish like that from a real Votto.
ThA MAN C MAcK they fs know more than you ☠️
like if ichiro is goat and a hall of famer!!
Best contact hitter of all time and HoF for sure.
💙💚💙💚
Tony Man I’m mid 30s, so I’d have to say Tony Gwynn. But if you’re younger, I dig it.
That smile on joeys face 🙂
the hell was the intro? LOL good vid
It's from Hopsin - "No Words"
Hopsin the best rapper ever or one of lol
So you can steal bases but after they throw the ball you cant steal bases? I don't get it. What if someone tried to steal a base then they threw the ball? Or what if they started trying to steal a base right before they threw the ball? I don't get how anyone can even tell.
Greg Gagne and Chuck Knoblauch in 1991 World Series. Best clutch fake out ever
where is the baseball??? can someone please help me find it?
5:11 great play by the Left Fielder.
to be fair to votto he is on Cincinnati and is in a Philly stadium
and tbh, phillies fans are the worst
I like Ichiro's play @ 1:53 but I doubt Arias would have scored even if Ichiro had caught the ball, not on pop up all the way from first base? The ball hit the wall kinda low; Ichiro could have caught it or ran into the wall.
4:24 Stan Lee cameo!

two years later and inciarte and phillips are on the same team
EWE Wrestling LOL IKR RIGHT! 😂
"ignore for bad luck" genius. I would sub but idc about baseball enough anymore. Thanks for the video tho
... go back and look at the Twins vs Braves world series game , when Jack Morris pitched , a very close game ,.. and the fake play by the 2nd baseman late in the game...
the Simmons play (6:42) was pretty good until I realized he did that with the fastest runner in the league running to first
I thought the "fake outs" were where you spend seven bucks for peanuts and a soda in a cup; the soda is half ice and the peanuts have been repackaged from a 50-lb bag.
The Votto one was funny. You gotta mess the with other teams fans when you get the chance
the first time ever that baseball was able to get my attention for more than 20 seconds lol glad I'm not the only one who feels like that, saw a lot of cellphones there lol
4:15 Joey Votto did it because there is no Reds fans in the crowd
Chuck Knoblach in game 7 of the 1991 World Series... Greatest decoy play in baseball history..
The confusion on the last clip is perfect.
That Faze rain intro hehe
That was audible garbage.
its a hopsin song called no words where he makes fun of rappers who dont actually say any words
It's more like a skit
i had a fake-out kinda. it was a one hop to me at third base i missed the grab, but it deflected off my glove right to the shortstop to throw to 1st and get the out
What the intro song??
6:37 Faked the cameraman as well....
@1:57 if he just started running backwards I think he would have caught it for an out
THUMBS UP (for the Miami Marlins {Ichiro} Heads-up play)... GO FISH!!!
To be fair, Murphy's such an awful fielder he probably thought the ball actually was in his glove.
Yo the last one was insane!
3:20 😂😭🤣😭
That’s my Votto por vida Holmes
What a troll by Votto, love it.
Manny machado fake throw vs rays? We're is that would be best out of any of them
4:49 to 4:51 is Y we love Miguel Cabrera
I remember the Votto fake.....The Phillies fans were all over him prior to that play.
Where's the video clip where the Yankees acted like it was a ground ball when it was a foul popup and Jason Kipnis got doubled up?
No way this dude just copied Rains old intro 😂😂😂😂😂😂
stupid fuck its hopsin song not rains shitty ass intro
I did something like this in my little league game, and the umpire almost threw me out.
How was Joey vottos play a fake out?
Those fans were probably chirping Vatta lol. The closest he can get to retaliation is toying with them.
What is this opening song not bad
That last guy. I’m pretty sure that’s why they have base coach’s. If he would’ve looked
I’m pretty sure they would’ve been pointing back.
For all of you that is confused about the last one a base runner can not attempt to make a play on a ball because he is a base runner same thing goes with a fielder you cannot block the path of a base runner the one you get an automatic out the other you get an automatic extra Bass
What song is this
So many baseball suggestions popping up now 😂😂
wait why was the dude from the Rockies out?
Judgement call or interference.
Sxcf
As a baserunner, it is illegal to interfere with the fielder fielding the ball. When he reached down to obscure the view of the ball, he was out.
00:03 put on captions look what it says
Luke Griffith lol
Lmao at the FaZe Rain type intro
Reason #43 Ichiro is my favorite baseball player of all time.
Enciarte in this twice. Murphy fake throws as a Met against the Royals, and then does it again as a National playing against the Mets.
Simba makes me laugh I miss him in the ATL
Wow not a copy of EXE-EDITS video about fake outs with ender inciarte on the cover that was made three months ago.
Hey what can you do \('-')/
Fun watching 2 other you tubers in 1 video
He used FaZe Rain's intro to his fan mail openings
Can't steal a intro from someone who didn't make it. Its a song by Hopsin.
Listening to Harold Reynolds is like having a jackhammer driven into your head.
Votto is what happens when a Canadian is away from the Power Source in Canada for too long...
4-out inning. don't see that very often.
Nice faze rain intro
LMAO U GOT THAT FROM RAIN
What do you mean?
I know
Shannon Ramaker soo true
Mrkool 300 haha our channel pics are almost the same
Oh I didn’t see the dash between fake-outs so I was expecting something completely different
the last one was a classic!
Inteo song?
Ender Inciarte's brain has a WAR of 8.6
I didn't want to sub, also didn't want bad luck, so I guess I'll just tune my recommendations to not show your channel.
Dang, that's cold haha
What the hell is that music at the beginning of the video, omg.
OG faze rain intro
Use the old into music
got that intro from faze rain
nope he got that from hopsin.... ffs
I have no idea who this faze rain is, but that is a song from Hopsin. Can't steal a intro song from someone who didn't make it.
"Why would you do that?" Lol cuz it's funny shit
"Dammit, I miss Simba." - Braves fans everywhere
That's why you need to pay attention to your coach at third. Ichiro new that everyone in the league doesn't do that, they look at the ball
Ichiro is a legend
Rip Jose Fernandez
Where are the fake outs?
faze rain intro..
hopsin no words...... dumb fuck
i was talking about the actual intro. not just the song. relax
***** sub 4 more baseball ignore for bad luck? thats faze rains old intro? wot
I have a base ball game right now, so I subbed for good luck :)
I would like Votto if he were a heel in the WWE, also if I still watched wrestling lol
How can you not love Miggy?
Can't believe you didn't show Chase Utley's fake throw you first in the 08 world series. Man on third, tie game, Utley fields a grounder and fakes a throw you first. Guy on third thinks he can make it home, Utley still has the ball and throws home to nab the runner. Tie preserved and the Phillies would go on to win the World Series that game.
Hell yeah Ender 👏🏼
