the reason fans care about not overplaying Klay is because we understand that locks us in to more of what we saw this year. Hes not a starter, because he cant guard guards. You cant pay 30 for bench scoring. We cant run this back.
Bonta is correct. This is a shooting league. You do not let a shooter walk especially for nothing. They are over the cap space next year and can only replace him with a vet min deal. I don't think they are finding another shooter on a vet min deal.
The Warriors being loyal to Klay was when they gave him the big contract after the catastrophic injury when many would've used it as an excuse when he had no other option but resigning for whatever he was offered.
Real warriors fans will want klay and the core 3 to ride this out. Everything else is irrelevant and lack of awareness for the fact there isn’t anything else out there better than klay on a team aspect and leadership
HE IS TOO INCONSISTENT. He can’t guard anymore and Kerr has this obsession with still playing him when he’s struggling. Klay should be coming off strictly
I could be wrong but I've seen enough games where the Warriors are winning but Klay is on the bench and he's moping from having a bad game. Of all the Warrior players, the most self-absorbed would be Klay Thompson. My point being, whatever he says now about being a Warrior for life and it's not about money, lets not forget he turned down an extension for $24 mil/2yr. So if another team offers say $30 mil for 2 yrs, I believe he's gone based on ego alone. I hope i'm wrong but Klay has a ( I'll show them) ego as large as anyone in the NBA.
He bet on himself, what's wrong with that? The Warriors don't really offer extensions to players at the beginning of the season. He was right to pass on the deal at that time.
If we end this season catastrophically, with a defeat in the play in and no playoffs, if we resigns it's not gonna be the same as this year because Lacob will not allow another small ball season with under 50 wins. If we get to the first round and put a big fight but lose against Denver or something, I'm afraid Kerr will stay the same with the excuse of Draymond missing 25 games and, assuming his presence for the 82 games gives you a similar winning percentage, you win 50 so we'll stay the same.
All honesty, it’s not really much they can do, maybe trade Wiggins for a big. They way above luxury tax and this is a play in team currently constructed. They could also move off Chris Paul and Moses moody to sign klay back. He might not be a defender he once was but he’s also a still a decent enough shooter. They best bet is to ace this years draft to get a solid player.
Lmaoo when they bring up another team that is willing to pay Klay the only two are Houston and Orlando just because their stars or coming stars still on rookies contract and can afford throw money at Klay but the notion that the buck or sixers are going to be in the market for Klay is delusional 😂😂😂😂.
Klay is finally getting healthy after his injuries!!! He has his burst back … Forget the stats ! He looks stronger and quicker now! The last month or so… He’s coming back!
Klay is still good but Kerr at the begining of the year put him on failure situation playing him at SF, PF having him guarding SF,PF of the other team , even though hi is less athletic than his previous self
warriors have to, Have to pay klay, idc how is his season went or goes, he deserves to get paid. shii if poole, wiggs, kerr and dray for paid 100mill, if i were klay, i be looking around this guys got paid and Im here did my job and wont get paid, dray got a 100mill and what happened, suspensions and techs and the incident with poole. now if klay gets paid, who has to go to shed money to lower their luxury tax. the team is the highet payroll in the league. a lot of decisions for the warriors in the off season.
No one is giving Klay 30 million a year. If Klay leaves he will be going to a team that isn't Steph and Klay centric and Klay will not be getting 19 shots a game on another team.
I absolutely do not want him back next year. We are up against the tax, and "running it back" with old guys, where is the logic in that? That said, Klay *does* have pretty legitimate value on OTHER teams: those mentioned in particular. If the Magic had Klay the could be a threat to Boston (if you squint your eyes). The one thing the Magic does not have is outside shooting, though it has a lot of youth, length, defense --exactly what Klay no longer offers. It's a natural fit for both. He will never be an all-star again, but he could still bring some high value to the Magic.
They’ve had the 2nd best record in the league since the all star break. Only reason why we’re in the play in is because draymond threw out 25 games. They’d be a top 4-5 seed with over 50 wins if he never threw those games . They have good old players good young players , and a couple solid players in their prime . Construction of the roster is fine

100% endorse this comment, I have nothing more to add.

He’ll be back. If he can’t drive to work on a boat he don’t want to be there
3 years for $75 million with a 4th year team option
Is the title a question or a statement?

Klay will be offered at least 2 years @ $60m by another team.

idk man he'd be a fit for a team like the magic that doesn't have much shooting.
@@dshih199 he will not be the 2nd option on that team.

I do not want him back at that price. And I think he has to go because kerr prioritizing him at team expense. Enough of it.
The warriors should try to get Paul George or Gianni’s, this team as constructed sucks
