Thank you so much for this. I did 2 half marathons in my teens now 26. Watching this sent shivers down my spine. Have put off running outdoors cos thought all the weight training would make me heavier and slower but I did 5.5 miles today faster than ever. Thank you for being real. ❤
This is amazing!!!! Go you 😍 please keep me updated with your running journey. I’d love to know if you start to build it back up! Thank you so much for watching xxxx
You summed marathon training up so beautifully. I haven't run a marathon before but dream of completing a marathon one day. Your so right about dropping your ego. It's so easy to get wrapped up in everyone else's opinions and worry about times.
Thank you so much for this video. I like you hated running but I lost my Dad in May, one of the last things I promised him was I would take my fitness seriously! So I have signed up to running the Brighton marathon next year for the hospice that cared for him, so this resonated with me. The training is hard but I am starting to enjoy it more X
This video is exxxactly the same as me, rookie newbie runner running my first marathon (London) ever this year, & also using Runna too. Thank you so much for this lovely brilliant video & huge well done xxxxxxx
Thank you, I’ve just stumbled upon your video as I’m about to embark on my first ever full Marathon (here in Sydney) in less than 12 days time… thoroughly enjoyed hearing your experience! Here goooeeesss - EEEEEKKK!! ✌️ 👟👟💪😬
So inspiring, I’ve just applied for a charity place for London next year, and I am also recovering from atypical bulimia. I love peanuts, jellybeans, squash because I find consuming plain water hard and sometimes I find energy through liquids easier than solids when running.
Love this! I am running London marathon this year and it’s great to have an honest review and advice. I am part of a running club so I sometimes hear how quickly people run marathons rather than if they enjoyed themselves during it. It’s great to hear about the enjoyable moments during the race as well as the I want to quit moments too
Thank you so much for this! I agreed to run the London marathon next year for MND and I’m terrified lol. I’m not a runner and it will be just before my 60th birthday…… ahhh! This was so helpful and honest and has given me hope that maybe I’ll do it. I have learned a lot from this too. I’m really hoping I can do this- i want to do this!!
Brilliant video really helpful I’m running London for first time in 2024 after 3 tries and being struck by a car during training last time I attempted training. Well done for all you have achieved x
Love this!!! Super super helpful! Nike running club and Nike Training Club have AMAZING training plans and cross training/warmup cool down videos. And they’re all free!!
Thank you for watching Scott. Good luck with the marathon! You’ll smash it for sure. Try to enjoy the struggle and take all the lessons you can from it. The crowds will get you through and so will all of your training! Let me know how it goes🤩
Thank you so much for this video, loved every minute of it! It’s the first time to listen to you and I’m so glad the UA-cam recommended you.. I’m running the London marathon in 5 weeks and I’m super nervous , but also very excited. Do you have the plan that you followed or what you have actually accomplished in the training? I get so anxious before long runs and I keep asking around do I really need to reach 30k ? My last run was 26km and it was intense:) thank you again and would love to hear and know more about the marathon experience ❤
Thank you so much for watching! I really hope you found it helpful ❤️ ah goodness!! Good luck for the marathon. You’ll be amazing! I used the Runna marathon plan and I don’t think I ever ran more than 30km before the big day if I’m honest! So you’ll be absolutely fine. The crowds, adrenaline and your own determination will get you through the day! Please let me know how it goes ! Xxxxxxx
Thank you for this. My grandad had Alzheimer’s and he lost his life due to Covid in the height of lockdown, so me and my family walked to raise money! My mum & I have started running now so hoping to complete a race for Alzheimer’s Society! Xx
Oh goodness. I am so sorry for your loss 💔 congratulations to you and your mum for walking for such a worthy cause and good luck with your running journey!!! I hope one day there is a cure for this horrendous disease xxxx
