Well I mean it was only a matter of time when they hitched their disarmament agenda to mass shootings. Then when one happens they have a bunch of gun control to pitch immediately, none of which would have prevented the shooting. Then people start asking what the real reason they’re pushing it is.

As a relatively new firearm owner for the past two years, I’m just amazed how much time and resources are spent on firearm laws/bans. Reality is criminals don’t care, they will find a way to obtain a firearm.
This should have you wondering, if it doesn't stop criminals, then why? It has nothing to do with crime. It's all about control of the people.
Remove as many firearms as possible before enacting martial law (which removes constitutional rights) and doing a nationwide gun confiscation by force.

I’ve been following this. I’m a former New York resident and I’m stuck in Callie for the time being. And there is one that actually made a valid point that this actually could be a very good thing for us bye getting this moved up through the court system even if there is an injunction that can’t get overruled in as a state wants to keep pushing it in the state wants to keep pushing it and if we get it back up to the Supreme Court, we have bruen part two

Recent court cases actually cite Heller, McDonald, and Bruen as precedent for more gun control laws.
I was shocked to recently learn that we actually have it better as gun owners in CA than they do in NY, and that's saying something

Maybe we should be thanking NY for this bill. If passed this will give every semi auto owner standing against the NFA. With hope there will be a speedy injunction until the SCOTUS can hear the case. If it even gets passed the ny inferior courts.

Even a Ruger BlackHawk revolver can be made full auto. Take the barrel off and drill out the top part of the frame and drill a hole in the barrel making a gas blow back hole to the hammer through the frame top strap that goes over the cylinder.

I read the bill. It bans convertible pistols _that have been converted._ That's actually in the bill text. Meaning, if a dude has a NY pistol license and puts a switch on his Glock, he'll be charged for the switch _and_ charged for the Glock _with the switch on it._ Two separate charges.

Federally, yes. This bill adds both the conversion deviced and the convertible pistols that have been converted to New York's statute defining "machine gun".

EVERY GUN MANUFACTURER NEEDS TO STAND TOGETHER AND REFUSE TO SELL THEIR BRANDS TO ANY AND ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT ENTITIES IN NEW YORK STATE! That would include the governor’s protection detail as well. Second, those companies need to refuse to do service work on existing models and refuse to sell parts for the guns as well. They need to do this until New York reverses their draconian tyranny against the citizens.

The Blue states are pushing forward with the models from Washington and California, Colorado just shelved a similar bill for the 2024 legislative session after it passed the State house. The bill is intended to ban the purchase of all semi-auto firearms.
Even if the bills pass, they’d still exempt criminals with guns, and just go after otherwise law abiding citizens.
Get out of the blue states NOW, while you still can. This bill would be DOA in my red state. As a matter of fact, it would never even have been proposed in the first place. I wouldn’t live in a blue state if you bought me a lake front mansion there.

Why would anyone comply with this? The Constitution is clear and you don't have to be a lawyer to read it and understand it. I don't need a judge to tell me what it says and I won't comply with any "law(s)" that go against The Bill of Rights. This is the hill worth dying on.

This is what I was seeing too, and feel it sets the foundation for items like AR-15s in the future (think like keycards, which I heard weren't even that successful, but you get the idea).

It doesn’t stop the criminals from getting the guns. I’d say a better law would require people who want guns is that they need training and a psychological evaluation. I hear in Switzerland they all carry guns of course I think everybody has to serve in the military.
