my issue with these and other similar weapons, is that there are lists they barely do anything against, like Churchill tank lists.
That's because they're artillery, not tank destroyers... No brainer.
My take as a newbie just starting his first lists:
The high cost of the IS-2 formation makes fitting in the 76mm artillery company easier. Also allows you to take an additional spotter with the BA-64 OP without running a second formation.
On the other hand, the SU-76 can field a unit large enough to get the re-rolls on bombardment while the artillery battery can't. If you can fit them in as a second formation, the T-70 HQ would be a more durable spotter than the BA-64.
The SU-76 does not allow you to get a spotter.

It seems like V4 FOW strongly encourages taking multiple formations together by keeping the points way down for alot of them.
keep up the unit over view......as a newbie more tactics and strategy is great to help learn
I like the SU-76, but its greatest weakness is it does not allow you to get a spotter. Even with that flaw, I want to get a unit of them. Very iconic.
Hi just a quicky how would I find rules for things not in the book such as jagdpanther and king tiger etc.
Unit stats are in the respective Intelligence briefing books. Tigers, for example, can be found in most of the new Late War German books 9D-Day and Fortress Europe) I don't think the Jadpanther or Tiger 2 is in any of these newer books but you can find the older stats in V3 sourcebooks. Look to things like market garden or the battle of the bulge.
