Thank you for sharing all your great finishes! I love seeing the older patterns along with the more recent. I’ve stitched the stand up witch and fully finished her years ago. Now I want to do the pilgrims after seeing yours.
Michelle, I love watching you, you have the best sense of humor and your stitching is amazing. All of you fall pieces are adorable. Favorites were difficult to pick, all of the Frosted Pumpkin ones, Oh My Gourd, the Cherry Hill piece. Have fun decorating for fall. Thank you for sharing
Rick rack trick is to cut each side . Not try to turn the corner . Dont remember which finishing wiz I got that from . But it totally works and looks great . Great fall stitching ❣️
Thanks for sharing. I have notes on a couple brainstorms you inspired for my own finishing. For rick rack, I find that I need to focus on the outer edge of the trim instead of the inside edge when turning corners. Determine how much you need to softly make the turn and then give yourself another 1/8 to 1/4 " before continuing on the next side. I always pin before gluing or sewing so I pin all sides and then go back to ease and pin the corners. Once I have things as I like, I attach using my preferred method. I hope this helps.
So many cute pieces! If you end up in Salt Lake, while you are waiting for the suspension to be adjusted you should go up to Ogden and visit Shepherd's Bush. It's amazing and you'll love it!I live an hour away and I could spend hours there every time I go.
Standup Pilgrims and Indians are darling! They ARE perfect! Wish I was brave enough to try a standup. Maybe some day? All your work is beautiful. Happy Thanksgiving! Blessings to you and yours🙏🏼
I am going to keep my fingers crossed for you that you get routed to Salt Lake City. If you do, you HAVE to make a stop by Shepherd's Bush in Ogden. It is a bucket list cross stitch shop! Your Maple Lane finish is so cute! I struggle sometimes with ric rac too and found that cutting into 4 separate pieces - one for each side - helps so much.
Maple Lane finish is so cute! I need to try some bean bag pellets. Nice pillow finishes. Adorable Stand-Ups. I think the 7-count is called Klostern. GL with truck route.
It took me a long time to figure out how to put on Ric Rack where it looks nice also, but I have figured it out. I hold the Ric rack up to one end and cut to fit. Put it on then go over on to the next side. One side at a time, one cut at a time. And it has come out great since. Now I do glue it on and I know you don’t like to glue. I hope this may help b
Hey Michelle ... If you look at tutorials from Cathy from HOD she puts the ric rac only on the sides (nothing in the corners) and it looks fine. That's what I have been doing and its so much easier and less fiddly.
Beautiful finishes!! I loooove that house! It's by New York Dreamer and has been in my stash forever. You may have inspired me to finally pull it out! 😉
Today I brought into the office some fall decorations for my desk. One of my co-workers just set up a Christmas tree on his desk. I love Christmas 🎄… but let’s slow down and enjoy fall. I was so happy when you started your video saying you were decorating for fall. 💕🧵🍁
