At first I thought it was overpriced but seeing all of the internal workings it's completely worth it.
How much is it?
$300
+FaZe Acorn a lot it's over $300
+FaZe Acorn 300$

Why did you speak German at that one part
Because Legodoppelkupplungsgetriebe is an awesome word! :D
+JANGBRiCKS um ok but what's it mean I'm sorry i speak very little german
Lego Dual Clutch Transmission
google translate m8
This was a really great video Jang. I appreciate all the effort you put in to capture the different stages in the studio. A wonderful tour of an incredible set. Thanks
Jang, I'm seriously impressed by your pronunciation of the German "r"! Hardly anyone with English as his mother tongue comes even close to its real pronunciation.
I just got done putting it together myself. Simply a piece of art honestly
Never been a fan of Technic, BUT, i am impressed with the fact that this has gears.
+Ethan Zhang obviously u kno what he means
+joe botsch
I don't think he does, and neither do I. Nearly every single Technic set has gears.
+Ethan Zhang it having a 4 stage gear box
+Mooshroom Jockey since jang was talking about the transmission and how it changes gears, its blatantly obvious what conner meant
+joe botsch
Oooooh ok. Sorry about that, I thought he meant just gears in general, not switching between them.
Do the Bugatti Chiron
I'm finally getting this set after almost 2 years on Wednesday. This review was my greatest push to get it. Thank you Jang.
You won't be disappointed :)
Same here. :)
I can't imagine designing this! It is truly a master piece!
I agree. it looks fantastic.
Yeah I own one, and I love it!
My favourite set in the Lego Technic line and the best technic car ever! (In my opinion)
Porsche 991 series 911: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_991
JANGBRiCKS how did you power the transmission at 3:01 ?
Could we have some sort of instruction or guide on how to hook up a motor for the car please?
JANGBRiCKS Would that be possible?
Yo, Jang, I found a video for motorizing this vehicle! Check it out! m.ua-cam.com/video/87gg9RwA3EU/v-deo.html
What motor set did u use
Technic gets better every single year. Really impressive. The summer sets are huge and i cannot wait to get my hands on this or on the Bucket Wheel Excavator.
I am so hype after a year I can finally buy one. I'm getting mine on November 12th and thanks so much for including that fix about the gears I will most definitely do that to mine.
I think that this set helps to teach people how a car works
I was an avid fan of UltimateRC's YT channel back then. Never have I known you have a Lego channel all these while.
It's 2017 and I decided to check out Lego stuffs and I found this channel. Needless to say I'm really happy that you're still around making video reviews of stuffs.
Wow! I feel like my dad would love this. He's got some pretty cool cars, not as high range as this, though. But he loves lego, and he's always been highly fascinated in how much detail they can get within the actual mechanics. I think he'd be blown away by this.
Oh
My
Freakin
God!
You pronounced their name right! I’m so happy!
Wow. this is really impressive. Jang I appreciate you stopping in the middle of building this thing just to show us the different stages of the inside, a fantastic review and an incredible set. Thanks for taking the time to bring us this!
Just built this a few weeks ago and I can fully say it was amazing! It was a hard built for sure but still knowing you built a 3000 piece technic Porsche is awesome to say the least.
This is from 2 years ago! I only saw it for the first time in my shop today! We finally got it 2 years late.
My god, this is a phenomenal technic set that is just pure beauty. Your review made it better, especially since your knowledge on cars is just insane. I feel like a car fan would enjoy this video even if their not a Lego fan as well. Great review as always and keep up the hard work!
*they're
They need a Lego Ford GT.
YASSS!!
They need a Pagani. An RC one.
Me they need toyota vios
No they need a lego Shelby gt!
With the RC Race Motors!
I've never bought a Technic set before, but seeing how amazing this one is, now I want to.
this set just shows how much Lego wanted to make there customers happy and they have
I really want to get this set. I love the look of complexity and sheer amount of lego parts in one location. The more complicated looking, the better.
If you break this down for your Lego City Jang, we will all mourn, for a magnificent and incredible feat of Lego engineering would have fallen.
This would be a great model to display alongside a digital picture frame that switches along pictures of the various levels of building to show some of its functionality. I'm about to order it with this in mind. Thanks for not hating too much on Technic. I certainly miss the availability of Technic sets. They were a great learning tool as a kid building them. It's surprising how many people these days have no basic mechanical knowledge. Not even at a mechanic level but just having a basic understanding of mechanics. Thanks for this great review. I didn't expect it to have a functioning transmission. I had avoided buying it because of its price but knowing its level of complexity, it's a must have for me now.
It's an amazing set and makes for a very satisfying build. Go for it!
As usual, thanks for your honest review. You do such a great job reviewing the sets in you typical way. Give a good inside feel of the sets and pro's and cons that are brought very clear and crisp. Today I will start building this set. Got it yesterday for my 40th birthday with a little help from the Dutch LEGO company because this set isn't available right now. Always nice to have good contacts ;). Keep the review coming Jang!!!
I fully agree. I want this set, not for me, but for my 'car-loving' dad.
woah, Jang! I found you again! I always loved your old RC channel. Your videos are all so fantastically composed; I can't stand slack-jawed numskulls who just sit themselves infront of a camera and ramble about their subject. You've always got a script, and camera shots to visualize everything you are discussing. I am gonna love watching new reviews by you, even if they are about LEGO instead of RC.
Pikmin012 the old URC channel
That is a bible not an instruction booklet
This made me laugh a lot!
i have this thing and it is seriously cool.to take off the body isnt too bad. theres about 20 pins and you have to take the seats out and a few other things besides but its not too ridiculous.
Regarding the Lego Technic Porsche 911 GT RS - 42056-1 (2016) Build...
For the price, I would have expected everyone to have properly tested the build process prior to release. Apparently, that never happened as there are more than a few mistakes in the instruction book. The paddle gear box, the gear change between 2nd & 3rd gear, the steering do not properly function as one would expect.

It's a beautiful set. Even the packaging is primo in its design. Absolutely gorgeous.
if I were a tiny person this would be a awesome toy care
If only I was small I could have a lego mansion and this car
This thing is so cool. Just seeing it in a thumbnail on UA-cam's home screen I thought it was some insane MOC like I saw previously.
This is the most amazing Lego set I have ever seen. Enough said.
Bought one two days ago, can't wait to build it. Skipped through 2/3 but am glad I saw the bit on the gearing (@3:36)...!
I've been subscribed to this for a long time, but I've never really seen a technic series video, I'm impressed by the level of details this set has... I would definitely buy one of those
Really informative review, interestingly LEGO did not go into as much of the detail when showcasing this set! I would have expected the body of the car to lift off easy enough to see inside and the workings. I have a seen a couple of videos with car with power functions however I am not sure what they have done to compromise but I don't think the gears were in working order, everything seemed at one speed. Great review as always Jang!
I have one myself, and would like to say that I would definitely recommend to anyone that likes Lego technics or cars in general. It makes for an awesome display piece!
I am glad you solved the issue of its transmission problems instead complaining about it. It is targeting 16+ after all and hard core technic fans who should be able to identify issues and be precise. Constructive criticism!!!
The commons are a green female vale, yellowish JFO, Silver storm Grunt, gold drone, and orange/bronze elite Zealot. The rares are a red Mark VI Spartan and a Blue Aviator. The ultra rare is an invisible Carter style Spartan. I didn't get a gummy figure, but there still here. The baseplates are also different now. I found mine in my local Texas WalMart.
I also treated myself, to this. I've built a lot of the upper end technical sets, and this one is a breed apart. Very unforgiving, especially boxes 1 and 2. A few missing parts, and the gbox ratio update is too late for my build.
But thank you Lego, and Porsche. It was very challenging to say the least.
I think this is a great model. I wonder if Lego couldn't somehow think of designing these models so that the functional part was more accessible for show off and viewing without tearing the whole model apart. Not committed to buying this but certainly enjoyed your review and loved seeing it in person at the Lego Store.
Jang could you please do more of Technic? Your reviews are the best because you don't spend time building it in the video. And actually speak ! Please do the Arocs
from the moment i saw the camouflaged prototype I knew it was a Porsche 911 GT3 RS and was going to be released in orange. i do agree with all of your opinions, and it is an awesome set.
1:20, u dont like gaps on lego technic? ur funny
Remember the first Technic models?? haha
i like that you showed different building-phases. thanks for that
My biggest complaint is you can’t appreciate how much went into the build once it’s done. But it’s amazing
I knew you would love this with your history of building 1/8th scale RCs. I'll get it eventually too lol!
Woah... That is amazing. That just proves that someone has way too much time on their hands. I do agree that power functions (or even remote control) would add to the set, although including the equipment would probably make it even more expensive. Great video, keep up the good work!
I am very happy you showed the gearbox fix in the video. Thank you! 3:34
Saktuscactus hi should I definitely do this I don’t know
Saktuscactus is it actually a mistake did the creators miss it out by accident
While the set itself looks nice on the outside (the body work is genuinely pleasant to look at), the interior is crude and pales in comparison. The brake calipers are quite sad as well considering there are far better ways to make them than a simple plate and sticker. However the part that bothers me most is the overly complicated transmission, something brought to attention in Sariel's coverage of this.
Maybe I am not a technic fan, but so much working Lego machinery feels so good to look at.
Its sad all its covered with panels.
This really reminds me of one of sheepo's builds (Despite the non-working power functions) I seriously think that Lego should work with him and jang for the next big technic build like this
This is like building your own car for the first time
Brilliant video Jang. I'm just past page 193 onto box 2, so I've got time to go back and sort gears 2 & 3. So a big thanks for that. Glad I watched 👍
I have no patience for this type of Lego. But it looks amazing, especially ending result. I remember getting one from my dad,it was £400. I can't remember which one it was.
Just finished this set, it's one of the best I've ever built
This is the best Lego technic review ever.
You deserve a real Porsche for this review.
Great explanation, thank you! Watched together with my nine-year-old son, and we were both fascinated.
"Thanks to Crowkillers for the tip-off about the gearbox issue." -FlagsNZ ;)
I’m a car enthusiast, and 70 percent of why id buy this is the working shifters and drivetrain. It’s just so expensive and a lego half the pieces has a book a tenth the size
Your German pronounciation is on point!
A masterpiece. A lego miracle.
I will never own this, but even so your review was excellent and I could not stop watching.
From factory team to technic......stop doing everything I love lol
Jang the professionalism of your review is amazing.
They should make an Audi R8 with the gears like this but have the three long technic pin with the axle slot on one side (piece 32054) to be able to take off the body exposing the internal workings and have instructions to put in power functions with a remote control
Hey Jang, I'm so excited, I've ordered mine, just waiting for it to be sent(will take a while as they ran out of stock), and arrive. CAN'T WAIT!!! Keep up the great work.
Its just a master piece, the most amazing thing about it has gears! I don't think Lego have ever done this before in any other set, but totally agreeing with jang it could be improved by taking bits off to revel the engineering, but still a master piece.
This is such an incredible set. I'm glad it was made!
@JANGBRiCKS This brings back memories of the Lego Technics Test Car 8865 that I had as a kid.
It also had a working engine with pistons, manual transmission, full differential, pop-up headlights and loads of other cool features. Impressive stuff for a set that is 28 years old!
I'd love to see you do a review of that set.
also Jang if you feel that the steering angle is limited just take of the limiters that lego put in there and is sure to work.
I remember owning a Technic car back in the early 90s that had a motor which could be integrated with workable steering. Nothing compared to this work or art though!
Great review! It's astounding how many pieces are underneath the body.
Just finished a newly acquired 1:10th scale Lego Racers Ferrari Enzo... Was an awesome build. Was disappointed but the lack of functioning suspension, but the working rear diff connected to the v12 engine, the functioning rack and pinion steering, and the dampers to open the doors. It was fun to build. This gt3 rs kit is next on my list. Time to start saving
Yea I definitely agree, they really should have included a way for you to hook up power functions to it. I believe it would be more enjoyable if they did
When I get this, I'm tempted to just put the wheels on at the end of the first part with a PF motor like you did and have it as a rolling chassis with all those gears etc in full view!!! It will also look like a true successor to 8860 which I feel this set is.
Hi I’m 13 and I’ve currently built the first box of this alone. Looking to build the rest in the next few days. Also thanks for the correction of the gearbox.
it is so heartbreaking to see all those beautiful geared functions permanently sealed away.
The Ty Guy you can actually remove the body
Most amazing lego set that has ever been released IT AWESOME NO OFFENSE FERRARI, LAMBORGHINI, BMW, AND BUGATTI BUT PORSCHE IS JUST SETTING THE BAR HIGH WITH THE GT3 RS
I'm not really into technic, but this set is amazing.
They need to make a set of just the engine. I could watch that thing run all day.
My god, I have this sat in my studio waiting to be unboxed, I can't wait to build it and make the video, but I have the Creator Ferrari F40 to do first.
Thanks for the heads-up on the gearing, I had no idea about this but will definitely make the switch!
Keep the great videos coming!
Wow. The mechanism is just amazing!
I totally agree with u Jangbricks
This is my fav set
So complex,amazing, and cool looking
Just wish it was remote
I would totally buy this if my dad would let me ( ;
I think a LEGO Technic 2017 Ford GT would be amazing!
yes absolutely
Its like a giant awesome play model, without any of the play functions
How did you plug in an engine to it? Fantastic that you did that specific thing, I didn't knew it was going to work and even not that the built was so good that the paddles and shift was going to work for real with it. And at 4:15 I don't see where the engine is that you've plugged in so you've done a good job.
I agree with your A, B and C "little more happier" thoughts too and I consider this set as well worth its price.
I love the effort Porsche went to to make this car as light as possible
I love it being a mega Porsche and Lego fan so over all I think it's great! But I do agree it should have power functions to be able to be integrated with it. It would be a lot better also if you could actually see the drive train and everything else
I can't wait to get my hands on this set 2 weeks from now :)
David Torres dude, zelda, jang, and star wars? Are we best friends?
Technic has never appealed to me, It's a lil to "abstract" but wow the construction in this thing REALLY has me thinking ................. awesome
i really could never build a technic set as skilled and high tech as this one jang u did a good job ;D
Im gonna try building that. Coz, you know, just try and never give up until i did it right. It'll take me well, i think 2 days building that porsche 911 gt3 rs
Listening to the review and thoughts you have made about this set is awsome thank you sir. Nice to hear something great and positive about this set.
I feel like this is a technical masterpiece for lego
