The intro music is like the final moments of a dream and then being woken up. Or it's like the final moments before falling asleep and then awakening in a dream.
1:23:15 I swear this is the sweetest damn moment ever oh OHL when they check on this guy. Tim’s whole shtick on the show is being dismissive and rude to zoomers, and Doug and Vic being their genuine sweet selves trying to always counter it and be truly interested in the guests regardless. But Tim noticing even the minor stressed out gesture and going “you alright?” Is why Heidecker’s my favorite comedian of all time. So much hilarious surface level intolerance, nuanced understanding+interpretation and off the wall parody of the human condition, but at the end of the day he’s such a genuinely good dude.
What if there was a guy on the toilet taking a big shit, and the septic tank was already full so the pressure guage was in the red, and the pipes were swelling, and the bus driver was saying, "We have to dump the tank, she's about to blow!" And the violinist said, "Good god man, there's people down there!" And the driver said, "There's no time! Pull the lever!" And the violinist had tears streaming down his face as he looked at happy sightseeing couples, as he could hear explosive flatulence from inside the bus, and he said, "May God have mercy on our souls." as he brought the lever down and unleashed hell upon the river.
Shoutout to Atrocity guide on youtube. I'm pretty sure that is who Tim is talking about when mentioning Bretharianism. She does amazing work! Been plowing through all these streams whilst recovering from the big C. Thanks for the good work!
I was at about 47:57 when the pest control guy came in and said "is that Alex Jones?" faster than I could hit pause. I said "no, just someone doing an impression". He said "it's a damn good one."
I smoked weed all day, and drank lots of coffee through the entire time I built a computer and a career in animation, ending up on "Rick and Morty" "Squidbillies", and "The Awesomes" to name a few. Love it. It makes me WANT to focus, and it actually protects and promotes brain cell growth.
Gang, hey Matt, I want to talk to Tim next show about his music and Doug and Vic about their kaoss pads. I’ve been using kaoss pad KP3 lately for my shows and writing music, sampling like Radiohead did with them kinda stuff. And I noticed the other day for the first time that Doug and Vic both use kaoss pads. Very cool. These things are fun. Got a separate Boss amp separate from vocals for sample effects. Another thing. I’m way behind. I was watching those fake edited uncomfortable videos of Steve Harvey, and just everything cringy or crazy made a thousand times much more so. And I realized it was Vic that does those. Mid blown.
I like Kevin Morby's music, this isn't personal. But, folks. New York is a STATE. Kevin very likely means he lived in one of the five boroughs. Okay, so he lived in New York City. Noticed he then says he lived in Los Angeles, he doesn't say, "Then I moved to California." If you mean you lived in Brooklyn or Queens or Manhattan, just say that. It's both imprecise, and condescending, to act as if New York State is nothing but the five boroughs. It's one thing if a Long Islander moves to NYC and says "I moved to New York." But it's really another level when someone from Missouri uses "New York" to mean New York City. Respect the entirety of the Empire State, thanks. If people now get to choose their pronouns (which I'm fine with!), New Yorkers now get to ask everyone to say New York City when you mean it, cause he sure as hell didn't move to Utica.
I haven’t been excited to see a weekly show like this in a while. I found myself thinking about the next pod all week. thank you guys
If you turn the word "pod" upside down its still "pod"
Thank you Tim
Kudos to you guys checking on Joel when you saw he looked distressed at the end of the call. Very cool
Tim’s Jordan Peterson impression absolutely destroyed me.

Tim (the avid gamer), citing David Oreilly's "EVERYTHING" at 6:32 took me by surprise
Same. Maybe OReilly did art for him for some project before?
