- There's no question that fall is the best time to chase big fat Brown Bass in the state of Kansas. Not only for numbers of hungry fish, but big fish as well. I've personally caught, and guided, dozens and dozens of Smallies between 4-6 lbs, all between September and November. Smallmouth Bass are my second favorite fish to chase in my free time, and am looking forward to hopefully many more big ones to come!

Hi Brian, I have always wanted to fish for small mouth! There aren’t any anywhere close to me. I’m 60 and disabled so funds are tight but if I could catch them, I would want to have you as my guide! Definitely! I know it would be a blast! Large mouth bass I’ve caught plenty and in my area it’s all 3-4 pounders except for my 6 lb 11 oz large mouth and it’s still on the brag board at my local bait and tackle…
