As close to Mancini as possible. So, it is incredible and delicious to listen to. Savor it well, my friends. Indulge in the lusciousness. Bravo to all these musicians. And, oh, the female vocalist. A precious golden touch.
This is the absolute best arrangement and performance of "Almost in Your Arms", ever (50:23). This girl brings it beautifully, emotionally, and accurately without gratuitous vocal calisthenics. Such class, confidence, poise, and a total absence of anxiety. This is heavenly swing. Odense is in Denmark, no? It seems that European culture supports jazz in higher numbers than in America.
One reason why jazz scores so highly above the "classics" is rhythm. Something within the human- like our heartbeats. The chords are more expressive and deeper.. We have grown-up so much since all the pomposity of thew great composers was the standard. The musical snobs and posers of today who sneer at jazz are beyond interest.
I don't know if anyone sneers at jazz per se, as much as they simply ignore it - because they don't understand the true value of musicianship, improvisation and the need to practice a learned skill. These days it's too easy to hit buttons and play a "sample" of someone else capable of the heavy lifting.
Who do you know that sneers at jazz nowadays?? 👀 Don't get me wrong, I LOVE jazz, but you don't have to jab at classical music to appreciate jazz lol. Classical music is also quite great!
j'écoute Musique dès l'âge de 10ans... j'en ai 80! A mon avis cette Orchestre Fusion Jazz-Classique, JOUE LA 9.eme de BEETHOVEN POUR UN LUXURY JAZZ... BRAVO!!!
The sound is absolutely incredible.. pianist is the heart of this sublime art..such nuanced playing..no doubt that Steinway makes the most amazing Piano..Jazz can be this heartfelt..
Marvellous concert,, pretty hard to have a symphonic orchestra swing,, this one succeeded. Absolutely awesome and beautiful trombone playing at the beginning
Great performance and an excellent pianist. Unfortunately there is too little jazz music with orchestra like Peter Nero did in the past. This Symphony Orchestra understands the way of playing Jazz. But what did I hear to my surprise in "Swept Of Her Feet" (15'30"): The theme of "Take The A Train"!!
This is a perfection of music, of placement of notes, of sharing of the soul. I love everything about this, which leads me to ask: Is there any way that I could purchase a copy of the conductor's score to this entire concert? I would love to learn from these arrangements! Thank you very much for your time, and greetings from a fellow Dane!
LIstening a second time around I notice that with all the will in the world, there are a few musicians in this great collaboration who are not quite jazz aficionardos. Jazz is of a deeply personal nature, not just something played from paper scores, but the overall presentation is superb.
With this many musicians, it's not possible for everyone to put their own personal touches into the music. When the string players start for instance, they need to be in sync. There's not as much room for improvisation.
I still have a few copies left here, but they are in the Bluray format (contains bonus material btw). Very stupid of us to produce it this way (Bluray went out as fast as it came in), but it was the only way to contain it on a disc with the inclusion of hi-fi audio and video. Not the least in terms of audio resolution we went all the way with 96 Khz resolution. Write me through my website, if you are interested :-) Br, Nikolaj

The orchestra together with the singer give a perfectly beautiful performance. I love this music
I just can't get enough of "Love Me Tender". Those strings, those winds and that wonderful Signe Juhl! Goose bumps!
10 seconds in......I feel wealthy 🤣🤣🤣🤣 and prestigious lol
Luxury, quality, sensitivity power. Al the versatility of jazz in this package. Loved it. It does good things to person;s soul.

For our late trombone player, Uncle Dan Bailey, who passed on Christmas Day 2020
Excellent fusion of highly classical instruments and tone with modern jazz tone.
Luxurious indeed.
This is the most heavenly thing my ears have ever experienced :0
