What amuses me is that in London 🇬🇧 where i live, men wear grey and black stripy suits to work. From now on, i will for ever picture them wearing clown shoes with their silly suits. 😂🥳
The _Cirque du Soleil_ shows are absolutely worth it. I saw them in Las Vegas. The show was ethereal and very impressive in terms of gymnastics and the storytelling was so creative. Donna, you’d love it!
Agreed! We have been to Cirque du Soleil several times here in Melbourne, Aust. The latest show, Luzia we saw in April and it was spectacular! A waterfall on stage that reminded me of their Las Vegas arena. Have told my hubs that taking me there would be the only reason I'd go to Las Vegas.
I don’t think anyone likes clowns, but I love your work. You remind me of myself-detailed. It’s the details that make the difference. You’re my favorite clay artist.
Yeah, I think mimes are more horrible than clowns, too - but I always have problems with pretentious, self absorbed people. I love the earrings, circus motifs are fun in a bottle!
I, myself, do not have a fear of clowns but a good friend does. She is intelligent, cultured and well-traveled. She would also come out on top of any bar fight, but show her a clown and she's out of there! I think that fear is so prevalent because as very young children, we recognize that something is NOT quite right with that human, but we don't know what it is. And we are taught not to ask questions about someone who seems to be deformed, so it's a few years before we realize that clowns wear make-up and costumes. BTW, polka dots are so retro and I love 'em too (along with stripes)!
you know, for me, they're unpredictable and that makes me very nervous. Here's this person, who I cannot identify, acting out. And they're adults, acting like children. Never have liked them, my first impulse is always to turn around and leave! Hugs, D
Coulrophobia: fear of clowns. 😮 Thanks Donna ... I like to learn learn something new every day! Love listening to you chatter away as you work your magic.😊
Those are fun! Also, you always could repackage your 25 lb of gold pins 😂 & sell them on your website. This way you would get rid of some clutter and somebody else could get a use out of them.
Thanks so much for the tutorial! I do not like clowns either, but the techniques your taught could be applied to other items and definitely different colors! That was very fun! Thanks for sharing!
Thank u for another relaxing and fun video! Thank u for showing that u don’t have to be so anally perfect about your clay work bc when u become to much of a perfectionist it seems to suck all the joy out of the art! It’s funny that u think their circus themed! I’m an nurse and they remind me of wacky pills! 😂
Hi Donna! Loving all of your classes. I live in Florida where we wear lots of bright colors, at some point would you teach another class making more earrings with lots of bright colors? I’m really bad with color so this would be super helpful. Thank you so so much for sharing your time and talent with us, I feel so lucky to have you as a teacher. Thanks, Gina
These are just wonderful !!!. Yes i too have in ate fear of clowns they scare the bejesus out of me as well. Its actually got a name Coulrophobia (COOl-ruh-FOE-bee-uh) .
I think it would be hard to maintain the shape that way. Would have to build it in halves first then after they are cured, join them, then cover them. Cheers! D
Donna, I love everything that you show us. I love to hear you humming. It makes me feel the enjoyment you get from playing with the clay. Do you have a link for buying Kato Clay?
Hi Donna, can you please tell me how you keep your polymer conditioned and stored? As I find when I condition my clay and store it in a plastic bag, when I come to use it I have to condition it again. Thank you Chris :). I love these earrings, I can see lots of potential with many colours. Cheers
You're right about that. Elephants are so intelligent, it was never right to use them that way. Lions, too, not the way such creatures were meant to live....big hugs, D

I dislike clowns as well but those earrings are great

I've seen a few, they are amazing! Love them!
Love these fun earrings. I had to laugh at the 25 pounds of gold eye pins. lol
at least, Deb! hugs, D

I love the earrings, circus motifs are fun in a bottle!
Mimes - ugh. Of course, Albert Brooks doing a mime routine is the best! Big hugs, D
Oooh these earrings are so fun! Love them.
We can do them in so many colours.
Thanks Donna. You make Sundays so much nicer. ☀️ ❤

Absolutely lovely - they make me smile ! Love you !
Ok, new favorite quote: “I’d be proud to wear these to any circus”
100%! Big hugs, D

that's a good idea - there are so many of them and not a single silver one...how about that! hugs, D
Life can be a circus so these earrings can be worn often!
Thanks so much for the tutorial! I do not like clowns either, but the techniques your taught could be applied to other items and definitely different colors! That was very fun! Thanks for sharing!
scary...!
These are fun! . Great idea fot the 4th too, if one were to make them in patriotic colors... I love'em. ❤
Yes! They'd be great! You can take that further and use star cutters instead of circles, too! Tata! Doink! Hugs, D
@@DonnaKatoArt Yes! Great idea. Doink!
I learned a few tips. Thank you. I love the purple beads. The red and yellow reminded me of Ronald Mcdonald. 🤡

Love them. You make everything look so easy.
I only wear light-weight earrings, so thank you for showing how to make such adjustments❣️
39:05 - yes smaller balls are always better than smaller shafts.
Love what you do!
These are so fun!! I love them...same birds and clowns need to stay the hell away from me hahaha I am so going to make these 💜💜 thanks D
Maybe I need to make something that will repel clowns...hmmm. got to think of that. What are the natural enemies of the Clown? Hmmm...big hugs, D
I know there’s a soul circus.
Delightful D ❤🙏🏽
Thank you, Joyce! hugs, D

You've got it, Gina! I will do that. Tropical! Big hugs, D
Oh my gosh, I’m so excited! Thank you so much!💕
These are just wonderful !!!. Yes i too have in ate fear of clowns they scare the bejesus out of me as well. Its actually got a name Coulrophobia (COOl-ruh-FOE-bee-uh) .
I do not like them at all!!! Hugs, D
Fun!!❣️
I think they are but then...I think they're ugly...and then, I'm back to fun. They look good on! Hugs, D
51:08 - just the tip
Extraordinary for sure!
Thanks for the tutorial. If weight is an issue, I would hollow out a bit of the center, or build it on a rod? I like the color replacement.
I think it would be hard to maintain the shape that way. Would have to build it in halves first then after they are cured, join them, then cover them. Cheers! D
My husband walked in the room and said you could wear those in Circus Circus Casino in Las Vegas.
Mission Accomplished!!!! Big hugs, D
Donna, I love everything that you show us. I love to hear you humming. It makes me feel the enjoyment you get from playing with the clay. Do you have a link for buying Kato Clay?
Hi Donna! Yes, my husband sells Kato Polyclay and if you buy the small bars, they're a deal! www.prairiecraft.com! Hugs, D
Do you realize you're humming the parade March?
Patricia, it really turns into stream of consciousness - which can be scary..big hugs, D
Hi Donna and thank you for sharing this video. Does your pasta machine start at 0?
Yes it does! I just bought one at a Habitat store and it starts at 1 and only goes to 7 (it's an old Atlas, I think!) Cheers, D
Hi Donna, can you please tell me how you keep your polymer conditioned and stored? As I find when I condition my clay and store it in a plastic bag, when I come to use it I have to condition it again. Thank you Chris :). I love these earrings, I can see lots of potential with many colours. Cheers
Okay, so, you have to re condition. It's not a one time process! It does get easier, Chris, trust me, it gets easier. Cheers, D
Hi Donna. When you say ‘deli paper’ do you mean wax paper? Love your videos honey 👍
Hi, the paper I use is actually used to wrap sandwiches and is not wax paper. More like parchment!
I can't stand dolls especially the antique ones or ones that look real. I love everything about them earrings.
I'm not fond of dolls, either, the ones that look like real babies freak me out! Hugs, D
Sadly, circuses were not so good for the lions and elephants.
You're right about that. Elephants are so intelligent, it was never right to use them that way. Lions, too, not the way such creatures were meant to live....big hugs, D
