Oddly, the best success I ever had was on a facebook comment thread. I made a comment, this woman replied to me in a joking manner. I replied back to her and we had this playful banter going. We friended each other and it turned out she was local to me. Eventually we planned on a date. I met her mom and it turned out I know her mother! Worked with her many years ago! She had tried setting the two of us up before but my date didn’t want to be set up by her mom. Two years later we got engaged. Three years after that I lost her after a long illness. But I truly believe we were destined to be together. Just not for the rest of our lives, just hers.

Of the things I still dislike, are some references to girls having less intellectual ability (selection bias?), and "having the upper hand" in relationships. In some countries they never send a second message 80% of the time. What is your solution to get the conversation flowing after a woman does the absolute minimum to preserve the match? I've also noticed 90% these same women never delete me, It's like they are a collector of matches.

Hey Todd! Excellent advice here overall. The one thing that stuck out to me here was remembering that she chose me. She chose to come out on a date with me. That should give us a lot of cinfidence given the landscape of online dating!
The problem is men and women thinking they have more options because one person was interested in them. Therefore they keep searching for more and more options online the moment the other person isn't perfect or screws up. Online dating was designed to keep people on the sites forever.

Another thing not mentionned is date timing, sometimes it's ok to do first date/first bed, but you too "slow" and so if she must wake up early she will decide to go home, so you need to be max 2h date and get time to go home with her and have a moment, so she have time ( if she must leave or course ;) ) to back home after bed time. My friends had extremely good photos and they were writing really boring messages and they got dates, I had very ugly pictures (I'm honest about this, my pictures really suck) and I was writing all the cool messages Todd suggests and even using a lot of my creativity, I never got an answer (I also paid for premium versions), why? Because online dating is all about photos and I also add that since nowadays everyone uses dating app, it is an extremely random game, girls get hundreds of likes per day and they randomly chose to match with 1 or 2 guys, to me online game is not worthy, going into the streets and approaching girls face to face makes the difference. Cold approach on the streets, bars, clubs or whatever in real life makes the difference because you get higher quality girls and you deal with real pain, discomfort and real difficulties, instead online on a dating app you are in an extremely comfortable situation and you don't face real life (I don't know if you get what I mean)
Good photos only just peak interest, your description is what make the women have the urge to message you, in other words having game is more important than how attractive you’re are. There’s proof women swipe left on men that are highly attractive and nice pics. Todd, I've managed to level up my profile to where I'm getting decent quality matches. Took me a long time over the years researching & tweaking making profile changes however, now what I notice is that as the quality of women goes up they are much more flakey in comparison to girls of lower value. Almost like they don't seem fully convinced. So would this be my text game I need to work on or do I need to play more of a numbers game than ever ? That’s what I notice too. So that’s why you gotta take fitxfearless advice and take their interest with a grain of salt. Just because a girl showed initial interest doesn’t mean she wants you…just have an abundance mindset. For example with Hinge I’d argue if she matches with you after responding to her prompt but doesn’t respond back, if she responds/messages 1st but never mentions anything about your bio, never gives a compliment, etc, etc, then her interest is not that high and you shouldn’t assume things will go off without a hitch 🤷♂️.
What Mr. Todd doesn't realize he's putting out advice that worked 10 years ago when you had to pay for PUA content. The online dating game changed a lot and the truth is it's on its decline. He pretends that a majority doesn't even know how to optimize their profile like PUAs did when online dating was in its infancy. Getting matches is really not the issue, and most dudes probably know these days how to make them appear more attractive than they actually are - and so are the chicks! The issue today is how to get a reasonable conversation going that could eventually lead to a date. Chicks are not flaky but social media screws with their minds by inflating their virtual sexual market value which results in the attention span of a fruit fly. Meaning, they don't talk to 10 dudes simultaneously, but 100s, which makes them think their options are endless, and the grass could be even greener with the next, and the next... Too many options make you choose less, so they hardly end up having a reasonable convo with guys and meet up with nobody. I get so many matches of hot chicks but hardly get any responses, let alone a convo going that could go somewhere, and my game is pretty tight. The odds are worse or better depending on the country/culture, but to summarize, it is no comparison to 10 years ago when it was cool and a lot of fun. Also, today you can't even be sure you are talking to sb real or a fake or manufactured profile, and the chicks worry the same about guy's pimped profiles, they can smell that from far, so why polish your profile to a persona you are actually not, and waste the time meeting a chick that liked your profile but actually not you... Something to think about. Things will only get worse with fake and pimped profiles and interactions, so my prediction is that online dating will eventually not work anymore, and it's definitely a huge waste of time. My advice is, to go out, become social, and interact with real people and real women in real life! Good luck!

Conversations with the "hotter" chicks would always end up dry and boring, I'd end up carrying the convo, asking questions, fuck even sometimes i feel like im probing and prying lol. They either respond with a very vague and short answer or a "lol"/"lmao" like jesus there's no way you're this hot and this freaking boring at the same time. I'd lose interest or they think I'm a weirdo for trying to get to know them a bit more. Now my new approach is just asking them straight up when they'd want to meet. Cut to the chase, let's them know you're interested and then feel it out when you see each other. For the most part there is really no need to try to get to know someone on a dating app, these girls have an abundance mindset which in turn makes them have a shorter attention span for you regardless of how you look or how your profile is setup, it just is what it is, and I do agree that social media has played a big role with making these girl act all big headed. The primary reason why a lot of men aren't getting matches or getting likes right away is not because they aren't supermodels or because of their bad profile pics or whatever, it's because of the asymmetry of the male to female ratio is so high and so while yes you can improve your self and your profile etc. and that might translate into a bit more than you're currently getting you're never really going to beat the gender disparity. And now that women have had it so absurdly good for so long if any app were to actually control for the disparity it would fail because women would be getting less likes and would leave the app for the ones that give them higher validation returns.

I think meeting at an event, bar, store, mall is probably a better chance. Too much money wasted and time in dating apps. Over 50 is not easy, and being in your 20’s up, most just want is a fun, intimate time.
I think the algorithm pushes some accounts more than others. Like the ones who already get swipes will be more pushed while the others may get less featured

It works both ways, you’re not going to be a match for everyone. Stop blaming everything on ‘women’ and just accept the fact that you’re not a prize, no one is. Online dating heavily favours women, the male algorithm will only show your profile for 1-2 days before moving it to the back of its queue. It’s the exact same as the way Instagram, Facebook & UA-cam algorithms work.
@@Kennymacdougall If you are "very good looking" but you got no online dating results, then you must have been making a very big blunder with your online dating technique or strategy somehow. The biggest factor in online dating is photos, by far, so a "very good looking" guy can DEFINITELY get results if you're doing things well and not making huge mistakes.

Getting attention for me is not the problem. Converting endless chats into real world dates is. Plenty of women message but they never want to get off the app!
What I have found, especially with the 7+/10 women is that most are there for validation. They don't really want to go on dates. They just want you to validate that they are attractive and can get your attention. Also a lot are just looking for IG Snapchat and OF followers. Most hot girls on there are so inundated with male attention its very difficult to stand out. Table is tilted, the game is rigged. But nowadays you pretty much have to just stick with it and hope you get lucky.
Theres one point im not agreeing with and it’s about the bio. in my experience girls are way more attracted to your profile if you have something short and genuine funny in it rather than Information about who you are. Girls like the mystery. Don’t just give them everything about you. Id say i have a decent success in online dating

Why are you asking for a date in the first place? Just tell her that you are planning to do something fun and she can join you if she wants. And anyway from my experience it's easier to close the girls on the first date. If you didn't even make out with her on the first date then it's a failure.
I agree with Lin T, it might be a problem with what you're doing on the first dates. That said, I would disagree with Konstantin saying you need to make out on the first date. Personally my strategy is just a short simple first date, 1-2 hours of chatting in a cafe or park, include some flirting and touching but no kissing usually. I kinda follow Caleb Jones (Blackdragon) model from his book "Get to Sex Fast." He suggests how to handle the first date to set it up to escalate smoothly on the second date, not the first date.
McD's is OK, or a bar / pub type bite to eat is OK - such as Wetherspoons here in the UK. Plus she can expect all she wants. What she gets is what she gets. You just have to frame it in the right way - eg an indirectly indicated "I'm not the same as all those other men".
I heard you DON'T want to pay for the membership with Tinder. According to the source, not paying and not over swiping is what gets you highest in the algorithm. Again, I'm talking Tinder specifically. Other apps my be different.
I am very tall and I figured that when I wrote my hight explicitly in the first sentence my number of matches tripled. Another thing that works for me is the following first message: "Would you like to get to know each other? Do you prefer to chat first or meet immediately" (I am translating from Russian, m b you can phrase this better). I am not very active on tinder recently, but roughly all 10 girls that I wrote to replied and eventually fixed the date. So, I guess, you don't need to invent anything, just write straight what you want.

for the last point, need to be close to where you live or 20mn taxi max. If you ask for girl to join you, the next question is time to go in your appartement, i noticed that the max time is 20mn, girl will still go with you. Another thing not mentionned is date timing, sometimes it's ok to do first date/first bed, but you too "slow" and so if she must wake up early she will decide to go home, so you need to be max 2h date and get time to go home with her and have a moment, so she have time ( if she must leave or course ;) ) to back home after bed time. For instance, if you start at 20h, you need to be in bed at 22h30 , if you go midnight and she must wake up at 6 you dead, but if she can leave at mignight from your home, she will come with you. My friends had extremely good photos and they were writing really boring messages and they got dates, I had very ugly pictures (I'm honest about this, my pictures really suck) and I was writing all the cool messages Todd suggests and even using a lot of my creativity, I never got an answer (I also paid for premium versions), why? Todd, I've managed to level up my profile to where I'm getting decent quality matches. Took me a long time over the years researching & tweaking making profile changes however, now what I notice is that as the quality of women goes up they are much more flakey in comparison to girls of lower value. What Mr. Todd doesn't realize he's putting out advice that worked 10 years ago when you had to pay for PUA content. The online dating game changed a lot and the truth is it's on its decline. He pretends that a majority doesn't even know how to optimize their profile like PUAs did when online dating was in its infancy. Getting matches is really not the issue, and most dudes probably know these days how to make them appear more attractive than they actually are - and so are the chicks! The issue today is how to get a reasonable conversation going that could eventually lead to a date. Chicks are not flaky but social media screws with their minds by inflating their virtual sexual market value which results in the attention span of a fruit fly. Meaning, they don't talk to 10 dudes simultaneously, but 100s, which makes them think their options are endless, and the grass could be even greener with the next, and the next... Too many options make you choose less, so they hardly end up having a reasonable convo with guys and meet up with nobody. I get so many matches of hot chicks but hardly get any responses, let alone a convo going that could go somewhere, and my game is pretty tight. The odds are worse or better depending on the country/culture, but to summarize, it is no comparison to 10 years ago when it was cool and a lot of fun. Also, today you can't even be sure you are talking to sb real or a fake or manufactured profile, and the chicks worry the same about guy's pimped profiles, they can smell that from far, so why polish your profile to a persona you are actually not, and waste the time meeting a chick that liked your profile but actually not you... Something to think about. Things will only get worse with fake and pimped profiles and interactions, so my prediction is that online dating will eventually not work anymore, and it's definitely a huge waste of time. My advice is, to go out, become social, and interact with real people and real women in real life! Good luck!

The primary reason why a lot of men aren't getting matches or getting likes right away is not because they aren't supermodels or because of their bad profile pics or whatever, it's because of the asymmetry of the male to female ratio is so high and so while yes you can improve your self and your profile etc. and that might translate into a bit more than you're currently getting you're never really going to beat the gender disparity. And now that women have had it so absurdly good for so long if any app were to actually control for the disparity it would fail because women would be getting less likes and would leave the app for the ones that give them higher validation returns.

What I have found, especially with the 7+/10 women is that most are there for validation. They don't really want to go on dates. They just want you to validate that they are attractive and can get your attention. Also a lot are just looking for IG Snapchat and OF followers. Most hot girls on there are so inundated with male attention its very difficult to stand out. Table is tilted, the game is rigged. Why are you asking for a date in the first place? Just tell her that you are planning to do something fun and she can join you if she wants. And anyway from my experience it's easier to close the girls on the first date. If you didn't even make out with her on the first date then it's a failure.

I agree with Lin T, it might be a problem with what you're doing on the first dates. That said, I would disagree with Konstantin saying you need to make out on the first date. Personally my strategy is just a short simple first date, 1-2 hours of chatting in a cafe or park, include some flirting and touching but no kissing usually. I kinda follow Caleb Jones (Blackdragon) model from his book "Get to Sex Fast." He suggests how to handle the first date to set it up to escalate smoothly on the second date, not the first date.

I am very tall and I figured that when I wrote my hight explicitly in the first sentence my number of matches tripled. Another thing that works for me is the following first message: "Would you like to get to know each other? Do you prefer to chat first or meet immediately" (I am translating from Russian, m b you can phrase this better). I am not very active on tinder recently, but roughly all 10 girls that I wrote to replied and eventually fixed the date. So, I guess, you don't need to invent anything, just write straight what you want.
